  1. Lol no not at all, I'm only excited because they're new and can finally have wheels and calipers on as my old 17s dont clear the calipers. Still a budget bitch with budget wheels.
  2. Gotta admit it does generate a little excitement. Oh and guess who's wheels are coming early...
  3. Some before and after of the CNC'd and polished chambers. Plus some pics showing the throat work Dale has done on the exhaust ports. Head maybe finished this weekend???
  4. A mate said the previous welds looked a little cold and wanted me to try push instead of pull, seems to have been hotter and he was happier with that. One more gusset to go. Rims have been made and are awaiting paint and freight.
  5. I regret saying it was too cool for me... When what I meant was it is too expensive and unnecessary for my needs. Everything is crap 💖
  6. Ahh ok. Re MoTeC I just assume it's mega dollars, I'm not a big baller flush with crypto gains so I tend to look for value for money options, even the GT-R was done "sensibly" imo. That said, it's all based on an assumption that the MoTeC gear is expensive, no stigma, just assumption about costs, nothing more.
  7. What's M1 mean? I was looking at the Powertune dash but by their own admission it's not good for track use/lap timing. Could still run race chrono on the phone etc, but I'd rather all data be in place so I'm looking at Aim instead.
  8. Tried a little harder this time, just taking a few minutes to setup and position etc. Gussets next.
  9. I was always an SAU guy anyway, but also had NS content, which I moved here. Nothing beats a forum for genuine car discussion/build threads etc.
  10. Head work continues also.
  11. Was clearing out photos, forgot I was supposed to get some replacement hubs, followed up, received next day. Will fit and see if these weep also.
  12. Chipping away, 1st arm is done now, second arm was measured and carefully cut, better cut than the first one. Need to stop being so lazy and careless with the welder and get my positioning setup better as the gun wanders all over the place and I'm just not being focused enough. Thinking I rough them up and give a fresh coat of paint and maybe new bushes. Would also like some new boots for the ball joints. Do people go spherical for the LCA inners? Went for a ride on the new cranks, surprised to say I could actually notice a small difference in the weight of the rotating mass. Been 2mths since the last ride, fitness and skill was not there, had a minor off, no damage, but did find an amazing bit of track which I'll be back to hit again when weather permits.
  13. Wasn't me and yes car rims, nothing too fancy but brand new only my second new set ever lol
  14. Well you guys were useless so I didn't buy those rods, going to keep my spare block and crank as just that, spares in case. I still want to do an engine build of some sort at some stage. Conteplating a sub say 8k track car so I have something to drive while I keep building Silvia, any track only 86s out there? MX5 seem popular too? Last model Celica and corolla Sportivo any good? (Both 140+kw engine). Last ride out my cranks came off due despite me having bolt checked them before, bike shop said they had seem some issues with these so gave me $$ to spend on better ones at their expense which just turned up. 2 steps up from what I had so that's nice. No ride yet, haven't had time. Oh yeah, guess who just ordered some new rims? This guy! No spoilers plz.
  15. 8 buttons don't go far... You got dem billet oil pump gears ready for abuse?
  16. Interesting. Would wanna be big brushes for my door.
  17. They climb the roller door?! what kinda indiana jones animals you got out there?! Tell me more about these brush seals, I have a 5mw x 3.2m high door so when it's closed there's a generous gap between the remaining door on the roller and the lintel.
  18. Yes that's from inside, from outside there's a hump in the sheet metal the the outlet is hidden away from debris. When I put my shed in I spent an extra i dunno few hundred bucks, and put verma-seal in all around the sheet metal at the rebate, no mice/rats so far. They have a retro fit product also, if you have issues with vermin. Keeps snakes out too.
  19. I went and had a look at mine, it was difficult to photograph it but this ebay listing shows it much better. 1989 Nissan 240sx Rear RH Cabin Air Vent | eBay This listing doesn't show what I could feel which is a thin rubber flap that feels like it's under spring tension, push it in, it springs back, might just be the wait of the flap, but it felt suspiciously "springy". You can see it in the bottom of my poor photo, this is the passenger side boot well down low in the guard.
  20. Just thinking, does the S13 have a similar vent? I can check mine if that helps?
  21. Hmm, 1-2mm thick rubber sheet from somewhere like Clark rubber? Sika flex in, cut vent slots in it. It's internal pressure that supposed to allow air out and not in, or if you're only worried about pests, stainless mesh, sikeflex it in.
