  1. Hey Guys, got a bit of a problem with the car as stated. I done a service last week (oil and plugs) and after that i picked up a slight misfire under light load (cruising) was ok under heavy acceleration. I changed the plugs again thinking it was a bad plug but still done it. went to cotteslow yesterday and has gotten alot worse now with it actually dropping a cylinder now and again and staying like that for a few minutes and then instantly coming good for a little while. seems to happen when just coming off boost. I have read maybe i have a bad earth and the obvious coil pack gone (getting tested on Tuesday). Anyone had this problem? I have used the search and alot of stuff rambles on about maybe fixing it but never seems to get to the problem. Eric
  2. hey guys, sorry to open a old thread but having this problem at the moment. done a service (plugs and oil) on my r33 gtst with PFC and now having this intermittent miss. thinking i had a bung plug i changed all the plugs but it is still there. ok under power but has little misses at about 80km/hr under light load. did other guys sort out there missing problems or is it still common. im about to rip out the coil packs and get them tested but i dont think its them as the car run ok before the service and is fine under load at high rpm. im going to have a look at the earthing of the igniter module as well. any other ideas. cars got following mods pfc high flow turbo 550cc injectors
  3. i had a big problem with boost creep when running a split dump on my high flow. i the end i put a 2 1/2 inch restrictior plate in the exhaust to hold the boost down to 12 psi until i got injectors in and then let it go to 15 psi. i also put a bell mouth on and still boost creeped. i also think the tune had a bit to it as a rich tune will put more fuel in and cause more exhaust gasses.
  4. if you have not bled the air out of the system there will be no coolant in the top half of your motor. there is a small bolt (on vertical bit of pipe) near the fuel pressure regulator and above no 1 injector, it stair you in the face when you open your bonnet. you need to undo that and fill your coolant up. start the motor and let it come up to temp, when the coolant starts to get hot put the bolt back in loosely and let the car get to operating temp. when all the air bubbles stop and cooling is only coming out then it is all good. do the bolt up and you are on you way . your overflow bottle should only be filled half way too. attached pic of bolt. borrowed you motor pic Joe, hope you don't mind. green arrow point to it. my temp was about 83 degrees yesterday to hope this helps
  5. ive got a set but im in rockingham if desperate
  6. is there a line from the front of the turbo to the catch can or am i seeing it right (pic 3) your still going from the turbo to the top of the rocker cover. i may be wrong but all i can see is two lines from the rocker cover to the catch can. The line going to rocker cover from the turbo needs to be plumbed into the catch can as well to get a vacuum in the catch can to pull the gasses from the rocker covers.
  7. for a good series 1 with light mods i recon about 11,000 and S2 about 13,000

  11. I have notice a few threads on here as to removing a turbo from your R33 so you are able to drive it as a P plater. This poor guy has learnt the hard way. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pu...bo-t300900.html Eric Your friendly Mod

  18. like DSTURBD, im running toyo teo's 235*45*17on the back of mine. very grippy in all weather. i got around the 300 to 330hp mark, i can put it flat in first and wont spin, cost about 220 a tyre so wont break the bank either. haven't got on the drag strip with them yet but will soon (what pressure to run in them DSTURBED for drags???)
  19. thread cleaned, please refrain from bumping otherwise thread will be closed!
  20. i sticker flexed, taped and drilled a new hole in the back end as far underneath as i could. looks like it was always there, they were the easiest, the side skirts were much harder to do
