  1. welcome back and thanks for your job Eug, the kids are playing fine, haven't had to get the big stick out yet
  2. sorry, didnt notice a fmic on it and had a stock air box. usually modded first
  3. dont tell me you paid that much for a stock series 1 ($16990)
  4. my high flow whistles like a bitch. has even got my tuner worried but boost fine, doesn't blow smoke, and goes like a cat on fire
  5. im gunna try a Xr6 intercooler. twice the size of stock and will fit under reo with no cutting, with over 300 rwhp
  6. um, what has any of the last 10 posts got to do with fitting a XR6 intercooler to my car. keep it on topic or go somewhere else please. mods, please clean
  7. hes gone on a holiday for a week thanks for letting me know guys.
  8. the way i looked at it is that im not always on the go peddle and i don't do skids. i like my power for a bit of strip work and the ability to have a bit of power when i need it (overtaking).
  9. just found out that the test is done on a dyno that is sitting in a workshop (literally) with cars highly modded car getting moved around and stuff being painted near the the dyno. high chance of contamination whilst test is being done . the dyno should be in its own room with positive air pressure from outside to stop this and give a proper reading.
  10. he actually asked the guy who done the testing and he said that the cats were no good ( brand new bullet type cats) and to put the stock ones back on and get them as close to the headers as possible to get them to heat up (so cold cats dont work properly). also get a retune on his computer as he had the same tune setup for a bigger cam. he had run outta time on his extension so he needs a permit to drive it down there every time now.
  11. Hey guys, have picked up a standard BF XR6 turbo intercooler from my mate to fit in the front of my skyline. I have a 600*300*75 in there at the moment but have had to cut the reo to fit it in. Due to the Po Po having a bit of a blitz on IMO240 emmission tests over here in WA at the moment im trying to dull down the visuals of my car and have decided to fit the smaller cooler in the front and weld the cut out section of my reo back in to get it back to legal(ish). has anyone tried to fit one and results/pic of piping if possible. My mate run 400rwhp at 14 psi through the cooler so i dont think it will be a problem running 350rwhp at 15 psi through it in my car.
  12. mate went through test today, cost him $750 with a fail, he talked to some guy today or yesterday in DPI about getting a permit to move his car and said he was very helpful. could have been stormtrooper?
  13. this workshop is not doing the emissions test, it was a workshop he took it to to get the sticker off
  14. got a bit off bad news today. have a mate trying to get outta a emissions test and had a phone call from the workshop doing it for him. he was told that he will have to do it and the testing will be carried out for another 6 months until this bill goes to parliament to get sorted out . im not 100% on this as it is third hand but pretty sure of it. anyone else heard anything
  15. i thought the series 1 come out with a rear wiper and S 1.5 and 2 had none, dunno?.
  16. i done the same. used factory holes and done a 180 degree turn at outlet of cooler back into factory piping. used 2 1/2 " 304 stainless piping. just about to rip out he cooler and try fit a factory XR6 turbo intercooler to see if that fits without cutting any reo.
  17. ran one four 3 years, no problemo's
  18. This is starting to get a bit common, never seen so many ' i got a sticker' posts in such a short time. for height , you have to get under your car and measure how far your exhaust is from the ground, gunna have to ba around 120mm minimum to pass
  19. trying to get the car ready, see what happens
  20. Hey guys/Gals, Got wind of this from one of my mates in the Locost Car Club of WA Members. It is open to anyone as long as there are spots left so get in quick if interested. I have attached PDF files of the circuits they are doing and a registry form .Sorry about the short notice Eric Hi this email is a invition to enter a event the MG Car Club of WA is running at the Kwinana Motoplex on the 4th of October 2009 . It comprises of a Autokhana through the Pit Area of the Motoplex. The area has good bitumin roads with good grass run off areas. This stage is set out so that it's long and flowing and great for older cars ( not to taxing ) you will then enter the Drag Strip and be lined up against a equal car ( eg MGB against a MGB / Alfa against Afla ) if possible. When you have done your drag, at the end of the strip you will again line up to do a short sprint circuit. Again good roads wth a good flowing circuit. You will do these 3 stages 3 times over the morning/day. This will give you 9 events over the day. The cost for MG Car Club of WA members is $110.00 for Members of other Clubs the entry fee is $120.00. I must stress this event is just a fun event and to see what your old or new car can do the 1/4 mile Drag strip in, with a couple of other events inclued. If you have any friends in your club that may wish to enter they are welcome. But we do have limited numbers so it would pay to enter as early as possible. If you have any questions ring me on 94579179 Regards Ron Fabry. One Great MG Owner.
