  1. i had mine tuned a couple of weeks ago and my tuner mentioned he turns off the o2 sensor when tuning too?
  2. was done by a very good tuner over here. i have had my car on this dyno over 30 times now and matches very well to other dynos around perth (dyno comps). my guess would be that it it is at the limit now, i asked him if i needed a Z32 but he said no, he can tune it with the stock one. the engine happy revs, minimal knock (everytime i look it about 10 to 20 peak) and no warning lights
  3. gunna need to get that armor oil off first with something like white spirits, then the double sided tape will stick (use good stuff)
  4. im running 260rwkw with PFC with standard AFM at 15psi
  5. 250 for one with dents and up to 400 for a clean one
  6. yeh, wouldn't put one in now without the supporting mods. i run it on stock injectors for about 5 months but now have the bigger injectors and PFC. was 307rwhp with stock injectors and now 355rwhp @15psi with skids too
  7. had the same problem with my BB high flow on my 33. tried to set it to 12 psi and wanted to go to 17 psi no matter what i did. had split dump so go a 3" single dump, still did it. took it off and opened up the waste gate from 24mm to 28 mm to get better flow, still did it. cryed myself to sleep until my tuner said that sometimes the 2j's need a reducing plate in the exhaust to control boost spikes. so tried it . put a plate just before the cat (on the flange between two gaskets)with a 2 1/2" hole in it and it worked, boost only went to 11psi at top end. i put it down to not enough back pressure and the gasses were finding it easier to go out the exhaust wheel instead of the waste gate flap. another problem can the car is running to rich, this will also cause the same problem
  8. might have to make a box to house your pod, and insulate it

  10. just done a quick serch, this is a r34 conversion but should be close. has some wiring details at end http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...nual+conversion
  11. just had a quick look in the fuse box, nothing has been disconnected. inhibit fuse is still connected, and the AT one is connected still as well. the wiring has been hidden up between the floorpan and g/box so cant see it.
  12. i bought all the stuff and they fitted it. i never bought the loom and as far as i i know they didn't fit one, not sure what they are talking about. they just terminated some wires and joined some together to close loop them, guessing it would have been the ignition cut off wires for when you try to start it out of park. i was'nt there when the workshop fitted it and maybe they done some wiring that i didn't know about. only other thing i didn't have was the little gear on the end of the speedo cable going into the gearbox as the auto and manual ones are different but they said it wasn't much of a job to fit another one. as i said, the auto speedo cluster will need to be changed to a manual one. i still have the car.
  13. i went from 215 hp to 250 hp with just the conversion and tune on a SAFC2
  14. did they change the speedo cluster to a manual one. a auto cluster will be out by about 50%(slow). if they did they may not have plugged the wiring in properly and its fallen out. auto ECU will work fine. i had mine in for a couple of years after i done my conversion

found it my guess is that it would be the 45 in 235*45*17 Aspect Ratio: When buying a rim that is larger than stock, you must change the aspect ratio of the tire, too. This will keep your speedometer reading correctly. When you “upsize” your wheel, the aspect ratio will be smaller than stock. This gives your wheels and tires a wider contact patch, improving cornering ability. Using a smaller than recommended Aspect Ratio means you have less rubber to absorb impact that can damage your rim. It also reduces the amount of contact your tires have with the road. Using a larger than recommended Aspect Ratio increases the ride height, and will make your speedometer read slower than actual speed. It can also cause rubbing in the wheel wells. It affects steering stability, and will make your car feel floaty when cornering.

so what is aspect ratio then?

even if they are 6.5, that equates to 8.1" . so my 17 by 8's are legal. always been worried about them but not anymore

so a gtst stock is 16 by 7 so we can go to 20 by 8.75 max legally. is this right?
  19. the good ol R & R, need a piggy back or aftermarket computer. the search button is your friend
  20. would'nt say workmates, more like employers as we pay there wages!
  21. just been through this and will help making a mistake. just go the nismo 555. not saying that the s15 injectors are bad but had strips torn of me by my tuner for buying them. they are a pig to tune and and will not be as good as the aftermarket injector. mine have been flowed out to 600cc. he said that they have to be tuned as a 480 at the bottom and a 600 at the top of the maps.
  22. if you only want 200rwkw. dump pipe, safc2, FMIC and tune. do that easy if you fit the FMIC and dump yourself and on 12psi
  23. no. as far as i know injectors work by percentages, 50% of stock injectors is no where near 50% of say 550cc injectors. you will run really rich if it runs at all
