  1. done another one
  2. you should hear some of the ideas that our engineers at the power station come up with. we had a pipe hanger brace that need a torque figure needed to do it up. they came up with some stupid figure like 16000 nm, we asked if they were sure and they said yes. as we were doing it up all the brackets started to deform so we went back to them and told them what was happening, they cam back and said ' well just do it up hand tight then' !!!!!!! WTF
  3. Just in case this guy doesn't know, a NA will not boost only vacuum. You do not need a boost gauge. Thread closed
  4. post it up in the queenland section, someone may know him or live near by to give him a visit
  5. thats good to hear. dunno why the lights fitted as i had a 600*300*76 on there

  6. SAU does not condone street racing. can any comments about this be kept to yourself or thread will be closed. please
  7. have been flowed out to 600cc fit RB25 have not been flow tested by me need a couple of pintle covers replaced as fell off when removed $450
  8. Had a look at it today and from what ive seen its hooked up ok exept the vacuum point, also he's running a pod and FMIC. I told him that these things will increase boost and 10 psi is possibly going to be the lowest he's gunna get. I may be wrong? i think he' going to try change the vacuum point to see if that helps to
  9. i would have thought that to Adrian but it doesn't seem to be happening.
  10. '94' R33 GTST Pal 13.466 @ 108.04, 60ft 2.372, baldish nexxen 3000 235*45*17, Perth Motorplex need some good tyres and should get into the 12's (hopefully)
  11. Hey all, I done a conversion on my r33 a few years ago and have taken my power level up to about 330rwhp on a highflowed turbo) the only thing left that is auto is the diff. went to the drags a couple of weeks ago and managed a poultry 13.466 at 108mph with a sad 2.372 60ft. my nephew who has 270wrhp ran the same 60ft ran a faster mph as mine and got a 12.91 (on stock turbo) . would the auto diff be causing the problem? these cars have been set up on the same dyno so power levels are comparable. Eric
  12. its already high flowed. he only wants it freshened up with new seals and a balance!
  13. i had the seals changed, new compressor wheel fitted and balanced and another rear housing machined (old one had big cracks in it) on my highflow and it cost me about 800 bux. to change the seals would only be a couple of hundred bux but i would get it balance again. worth doing if you want to keep the highflow. i got about 250rwkw out of the highflow at 15psi, yes it is worth it
  14. well done, hopefully it will be on the road tomorrow
  15. only way you are going to get that out is what trident said and drill it out slowly and use a dremel to finish it off them tap it back out, doesnt matter if you slightly touch the thread with the dremel as there will be enough meat for the new bolt. a ezy out will bight into the original thread and you will snap it. heating it up is risky as it can harden the leftover bolt and when it does'nt work, will be a prick to drill. being a mechanical fitter of some 21 years i have seen my fair share of snapped bolts and that is the best way to do it.
  16. need to get that cat on and wheels will be too big. fmic will need a permit but if the reo bar is cut that will not pass either.
  17. gave sikpack a ring today, they were suprised that people knew about there dyno so quickly as its not set up fully yet. gunna be in full swing in about 2 weeks. mate rung tim and he said he new nothing of a dyno (must be keeping a secret) and said to go north of the river. the guy i talked to was very helpful and sound like some good prices are gunna happen
  18. will have to go to that dyno comp too me thinks
  19. chopped out the number plate section when I opened up my front bar. have since welded it back in, and made legal again.
  20. might take a cruise down on thursday afternoon and check them out. only twenty minutes from my house. no problem with tuning the PFC?
  21. rare as rocking horse shite, i had to weld mine back togeather. goodluck
  22. hey Dave, as long as it is a 3" i dont think it will make much difference. i think i paid $80 on ebay for mine and have had no problems with it. just check the flatness of the face that bolts up to the turbo and square up if out. dont think it will make much difference on the power side but definitely stabilizes boost.
