  1. looking at about $250 to $300 to fit (at $90/hr). about $120 to buy the belt. get them to look at your water pump to, if a bit iffy then get it replaced to. had mine done about 2 months ago. cost me $550 including fitting a fuel pump and dyno'ing the safc2. gates belts can be a bit noisey by the way
  2. Sorry that was Judged (Dannys car) , also a good read
  3. should be getting 400 / tank. dont forget to reset computer (pull battery lead of and put foot on brake peddle, reconnect lead) after fitting 02 sensor

  12. had a average night, couldnt get the tyres warm and kept spinning out first gear giving me 2.3 60' times. only managed a average of 14.1 all night. good to meet ryan (that car was running really good times considering what it had done to it), had a couple of runs against him and got one win each (missed 4 gear on one which would have given me a high 13, ya get that. maybe next time? p.s. anyone have any old 16" semi slicks laying around they want to donate to my mid thirteen fund would be greaty appreciated
  13. if you take all the plugs out there is no compression, only on the one u are taking the reading from, make sure u do it dry first and then wet(squeeze a bit of oil in the bore), this will tell you if the are gone or valves or head gasket (if compression reading increases then the rings, if reading stays same then possibly head or valve leakage(only if bad reading obtained first). you can usually sit the engine on a old tyre and it will stay reasonably stable.

  20. i have read on these forums that the gates timing belt is a little bit whiney (not very loud) until in beds in. where the ones u put in the standard belts or performance belts steve?
  21. he did not fit the safc , only tune .did not change oil. only coolant and fuel filter. i took in a new gates timing belt, fuel pump, alt belt, power steering belt and aircon belt, all from repco, cost about 170 bux for all the belts and ebay fuel pump. hes not keen on pfc's (haltec man) but give him a ring.
  22. just letting you guys know about In Tune Performance. just had the timing belt done (fitted gates performance belt), walbro 550hp fuel pump fitted, all front belts , coolant and fuel filter replaced and safc2 dyno tuned. cost 350 to fit everything (had all the parts) and 160 to dyno the safc. went in with 256rwhp and come out with 271rwhp (could be cause of different dynos). car definately sounds happier(exept for a bit of noise from the new timing belt (was expected)). recommend him for work south of river. located at unit 3/28 salpietro st, bibra lake. ph 94346608,Aaron Gregory. p.s. he has no eftpos so cash only
