  1. Why aren't you bitches confirming attendance in the calendar?
  2. Because Wakefield is a dirt track 2 hours south of Sydney, and Eastern Creek is an international racing complex with a lot more running and maintenance costs... Hence it costs more to hire the track, and those costs are passed onto us
  3. Moderators couldn't do anything anyway. They're just like you or me, unless they happen to live next to dave and can give him a kick up the ass, they're powerless.
  4. The correct links are: http://www.powerplayimports.com/ and http://www.fulllock.com
  5. Thanks Grant, Glad to hear you recieved it okay Thanks for the feedback!
  6. Due to such a controvertial decision in choosing last month's dinner venue, it is only fair to host this month's pig-out at Xic-Lo Vietnamese Restaurant. Xic-Lo Vietnamese 17 Spring St, Chatswood. Date for the dummies: Thursday 26th August 2004 (It's always last thursday of every month) Tel: 02 9412 4919 Link to Calendar Entry: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/ca...75&day=2004-8-9
  7. Organised by Motoconcepts. Full drive day - $200 http://www.motoconcepts.com.au/index.php?o...vents&Itemid=33 Who's in?
  8. I would have thought Golgo had enough stickers as it is to enter any racing event without need for supplementation
  9. THIS GROUP BUY HAS FINISHED.
  10. The lack of communication is a bit annoying
  11. Such a big man... Calling up 11 mates to come and fight 2 guys... Did you feel big and strong after making that call? I bet your pen1s grew about 4 inches after doing that. You claim that 2v1 wasn't a fair fight, so you tried to make it 2vs12... HOW THE HELL IS THAT FAIR??? :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: I hate it when people can't fight their own fights and have to call their cousins, friends and relatives to come fight their fights for them. It's quite honestly pathetic. Your story was looking good until you lowered yourself to the gutter with that phone call.
  12. Take it to a mechanic... You're not going to get any definitive answers over the internet.
  13. I had all the parts necessary to carry out my engine buildup.. I accumulated them over the course of a year (I was in no rush) and by the time came to strip the engine down and build it up again with stronger parts, it only took 3 weeks from dropping the car off, to towing it to get tuned. Where engine builds get lengthy, is when you are forced to sit and wait for parts that you ordered DURING the build and are at the mercy of the parts supplier. The actual labour itself can be completed in 2 weeks. As for what's better, rebuild it or buy another second hand engine, your engine is probably the newest you'll find on the second hand market for a decent price. Most of them are from R32 GTRs or older R33 GTRs. I would stick to yours, diagnose what went wrong, price out a rebuild and then make a decision from there. A replacement RB26 can cost you anywhere from $5000 - $8000, and upto 16,000 for a new one.
  14. Goddammit DoughBoy, you weren't meant to tell everyone that! RB80 > RB30 with RB26 Head  And MrCharms, I only resort to smart-ass comments when I have to repeat myself 4 times, only to be ignored blindly and be replied to with completely wrong information over and over again. There's only so many times I can try to tell you what's really going on with your engine (based on information you've supplied to me), before I give up and try to take the piss In any case, refer to my volumetric measurements on the first page, you're making just over 2650cc, which bumps you up to 2.7 Litres P.S. If you sat down for a minute before replying and visualised what goes on in a piston engine, you'd quickly realise that crankshaft design is the ONLY thing that will effect stroke length. It's pretty simple when you think about it
  15. Correct. It's the crankshaft in the stroker kit that = 75.7mm stroke You're running standard crank, so you've got a 73.7mm stroke (standard)
  16. I've already tried telling him that, but it doesn't seem to be getting through
  17. But you just linked me to the GREX stroker kit, and that's not what you have... It's the crank in the GREX stroker kit that gives it the extra 2mm stroke, not the pistons or rods And yes, I was pretty proud of myself that I remembered how to calculate volume of a cylinder without looking it up
  18. 5000km run-in??? That would take most people 6 months to complete. You really think that's a feasible run-in time? What engine parts could POSSIBLY need 5000kms bedding in time??? :uhh: No comment on the full-synthetic running in oil use... People have different ideas on that one, but the vast majority believe that mineral oil for the first 1000kms or so is still the best way to go.
  19. How exactly do you increase stroke by 2mm with a piston upgrade on standard crank? And I don't need a web calculator, I remember my Year 7 volumetric formulas  Probably the first time I've used them since high school
  20. No... He's right. GTRs need the same width wheels and tyres front and rear.
  21. Ahhh okay... Std bore & stroke (86x73.7) = 2568cc (juuuuuust enough to claim 2.6 Litres ) 87.5mm bore & std stroke = 2659cc (also juuuuuuuuuuust enough to claim 2.7 Litres ) Did you do these internal upgrades by themselves? Could you really tell the effects of extra 100cc capacity? Or did you do other things like camshafts, cam gears, etc etc at the same time?
  22. How do you get the extra stroke necessary for 2.7L from a standard crank and 86.5mm pistons?
