  1. ....... I return on the reciept of terrible news :wavey:
  2. The first I heard of this was from office colleagues. I brushed it off and didn't really think about it. The second and third time were from reporters from SMH and Daily Telegraph, who informed me of the situation and the rego plate of the car... Ripped in half in a 50 zone. Jesus H. Christ.
  3. Why am I getting emails about these now???? :uhh: ALL SOLD (nearly 2 years ago).
  4. I thought we blew this theory out of the water after we moved a dinner to Carlingford and no-one extra came to the dinners? Anyway, I'm in for whatever.
  5. I'm in!!!! Might need a lift though :bahaha:
  6. Yah, was great to finally meet you today Justin! :bahaha:
  7. Well... Some casualties of war today... Green R32 GTR "GDZILR" (or something like that) forgot to turn at Turn 1 and ran into a wall at high speeds... From what I saw as I drove past the car, it has some major front end remodelling... Purple People Eater R33 GTR was going great guns for about 6 laps, holding 110-120 degrees oil temps, then half way around lap 7, it developed a very funny noise, and I quickly got off the throttle. The car immediately stalled even though the clutch was disengaged, and I couldn't get it restarted on the fly, so I pulled over to the side of the track. There I noticed oil temps had risen to 140 degrees (in half a lap!!!) and something was boiling under the hood (probably water) Initial tests conclude that the engine still has 150-160 compression across the board, so it's not a cracked ringland or any valve issues. It struggles to idle unless coaxed with some throttle input. There's a knocking noise eminating from the engine somewhere, undiagnosed at this stage. Engine oil has been dumped and is sans metal particles, so doubtful that it's a spun bearing. Spark plugs look clean and in good shape. Fuel pump is definitely an issue, as it has always been since the rebuild. It doesn't prime when the key is turned to ON, as proved by hooking up a fuel pressure gauge. It also doesn't hold proper pressure when the engine is turned off, fuel flows back through the pump back into the tank immediately. Fuel pressure jumps from 50-55psi at idle instead of holding steady at 40 psi like it should be. Engine is being removed and torn down this weekend. Stay tuned
  8. B-Man: Boost starts to build IMMEDIATELY as soon as you hit the throttle from 2000rpm onwards... As for when boost hits and peaks, I'll have to get back to you on that after the boost controller issues have been sorted out
  9. The SBC-ID III in my white car was absolutely perfect. But I thought I'd give Aussie innovation a run and see if they can truely come up with a world-class boost controller............ Things aren't looking up for them, but I'm willing to give Turbosmart a chance to sort it out Roy: I'm happy I guess. It's what I expected, so there weren't any big surprises with the power level... They're only tiny little turbos, so I knew they'd produce power somewhere between 300-320awkw... As I said, it's what I expected. I should be able to extract around about 330awkw out of them once all boost controller issues are sorted out. More than enough for track work IMHO. Now it's time to attack the car with weight reduction
  10. At least a bleed valve would hold boost steady I'm using a Turbosmart eBoost, in case anyone can offer any solutions or suggestions...
  11. Well, I might just hop in on this thread and post that I got my car tuned today... 11psi - 230awkw 16psi - 260awkw 20psi - 304awkw 22psi - 316awkw We could have turned it up more... Probably till about 24-25psi maximum before they completely run out of puff... But I'm having boost controller issues. At 11psi, it holds boost fine, but it starts to fall over at 16psi, and by 22psi, it's fluctuating 2psi from 20 to 22psi... Once we get the boost controller sorted, it should make a teeny bit more power... But for the moment, 316.3awkw @ 20/22psi
  12. I recieved: Oil Cap, Thermostat, GT Titanium Knob last Friday, 2 MONTHS after I sent payment... Although Dave's trustworthyness and honesty was never in question as far as I was concerned, I will hesitate to do business with Dave again due to the frustrating lack of communication. Thanks for the goods!
  13. There was no swing from friendly rivalry to hostility in this case, like I was commenting on in the other instances. It was a simple case of you beating your own chest without any prompting.... Your credibility wasn't questioned, you just created your own chance to blow your own horn, and I'm sorry............ but it sounded ridiculous. Hostility from me to you ends here
  14. What in the flying fcuk does this drivel have ANYTHING to do with the thread? You did the same c0ck-beating stunt when you interjected into the GTR sump baffles thread, and I questioned your sources, as you didn't own a GTR yourself, or have any experience with GTRs. I'm not sure what it is that makes you feel the need to beat your own chest like this so blatantly and COMPLETELY ridiculously to strangers on the internet, but I sure hope that it provided you with some penile extension, because all it did was make me :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: "highest level of army rugby"??? "national cycling"???? "combat exposure in hot environments"???? Are you for real? Cos you sure gave me a great laugh!
  15. What, you don't agree that the lines over the tail lights stand out too much? And isn't that the idea of this forum? Well *** me dead and call me Sally for giving a shit
  16. I have a penis.
  17. What was up with the Buffy sticker and t-shirt anyway dude? Are you some kind of SMG stalker? cos you're gonna have to get in line
  18. Funny thing is, that we're calling the same things about your dyno figures... Works both ways doesn't it? Again, in case you missed it in the other thread, lets check the attitudes at the door.
  19. What's all that mess that's been laid over semi-transparently on the banner? It looks a bit, weird but okay... My only complaint is the blue lines going over the R34 ass, in particular the tail lights, but I think the entire R34 should be left untainted...
  20. Sounds great to me!
  21. I have to say.... SAU has gotten very hostile lately... There is no more friendly rivalry, its taken a turn for the worse Lets check the attitudes at the door eh?
  22. Is anyone else concerned that this mysterious "First shipment" that was sent out 2.5 weeks ago had no recipients?
