  2. thanks for the replies so far guys... meshmesh, did you run a constant 12V straight from the battery to the pump, or did you use the original wiring which has a voltage stepper? I've got mine wired in with the standard wiring, as I was told that unless there's a problem with the standard wiring, it's best to use it as the voltage stepper helps prolong the life of the pump and adds reliability :confused: I'm using an Optima Yellow Top, so there's no problem with the battery... The other thing is, I can't hear the pump priming when I turn it to IGN... This is meant to be a very loud pump right? I can't hear it zzzzzzzzzz'ing whilst it primes itself like the HKS pump did in my old car... Oh, and the report of the GT-SS is coming after it's been fully run-in and tuned So far, they're spooling at about 3500rpm but that's with the camshafts not dialed in at all... Cam gears are still on 0 setting. Should be able to bring boost on a little earlier

  4. I'm having troubles starting my car. I've been told that because the Bosch 044 doesn't have a fuel return catch valve, fuel drains from the fuel rail back into the tank, and that's why I have to crank my car over 2-3 times before it'll start... It's been suggested to me that I turn ignition on for 5 seconds, let the pump prime, then turn the car off again, then on again for another 5 seconds, and then crank it. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to help the situation. Does your car do this? How do you get around the problem?
  5. Is there someone who can do airbrushing repairs? I removed those "weather strips" above my door, and over the years it has rubbed off a bit of paint, and it's annoying me.. I'd like it airbrushed and restored I remember reading about some dent repairer or scratch repairer that would airbrush the car to cover scratches and stuff... Anyone got any info on that?

  8. Well there's a tiny straight section between turn 11 and 12 at EC, not so at turn 8 at Wakefield I never said that you can't have two turns going in the same direction in a row, I just said that a double apex turn is one corner But yeah, it's whatever the circuit manager deems it to be

  18. It's really nothing (I hope)... The oil pressure light is coming on, but I'm seeing 2-3 bar at idle and 5-6 bar at about 5000rpm... I think it's a faulty oil pressure warning switch or it's been fux0red when re-installed, but I'd like to make sure before going to the track...

  20. Star Performance in Roselle has been the cheapest I've found... Around $90 for a full refill (they charge based on weight, so you only pay for what you get)... Other workshops charge $110 flat rate, even if you only need 3/4 fillup.

So if only the 20 or so cefiro/stagea owners look at them, why list it on the main page and clutter it un-necessarily for the other 8000 active registered users? :confused: I don't need it listed there, and neither do 98% of people browsing SAU. You can't really say something like that, and then make two new forums for non-skylines :Oops: :Oops:... A bit contradictory I couldn't care less whether S2000 threads are in with the skylines threads... They're all General Automotive threads anyway, like "I found this red thing in my car" or "man hondas are torque-less!"... That's what the forum is for!! What Skylines threads that would go in the consolidated GAD forum would be of such importance that you would want people to be able to find it so easily? As far as I can see, any Skyline related threads that go in there are just people going "blah blah blah" anyway So it was working fine? No-one complained about having to wade through a few lamborghini and S2000 threads did they? "If it ain't broke, STEP THE FCUK OFF BIATCH!!!" (edited for futurism and accessibility for today's generation)
  22. I think the main thing to remember is that most people will only read 3 or 4 forums... They don't have time to click on all the forums, or they just don't have the inclination to do so. You should be looking to consolidate the forums into 3 or 4 main ones that people will read: General Automotive Discussion Forced Induction/NA Performance (depending on what you drive) Your State Forum For Sale Forum
