Found An Oil Pot In The Boot Area...
CruiseLiner replied to IMPORTD's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
doesnt have to be running from what it says in the skyline gtr manual only ignition turned ON. it uses auto tranny fluid in the attessa canister in the boot which is totally seperate to the transfer case fluid. the transfer case level is to be checked under the car which has its own filler plug on rear of TFC. fluid should be level with the filler plug and the TFC also uses auto tranny fluid. i got some castrol transmax synthetic for mine and its like $60 for 4 litres, its actually a green colour rather than the normal auto fluid being red cheers -
just remember every single car from japan seems to have the mystery 70 000km on the clock and thats r32's and all, so id say more like 150k for them ones, and so one with 135 000km would be alot more i'd imagine unless this is actually genuine km's which i wouldnt put money on no im not having a go at jspec or anything im just warning people the km's mean bugger all as u cant trust them anyway. my stagea had 120 000km on it when i bought it and its absolutely spotless while ive seen r32's that a absolute shitheaps with 60 000km. just the risk u gotta take i suppose personally i wouldnt touch a rb26 with a 10 foot pole unless it was a fresh one as alex has said. dont expect to run 450hp and it last for years like some people want u to beleive. 9 out of 10 die going by people on these forums, they are high revving engines and bearings/rings/ringlands etc dont last when high revving all day like in a rb25 with lower rpm limit. plus im sure almost all rb26s have been flogged around as people wouldnt buy them otherwise. thats my useless 2c worth

Heat Wraps On The Exhaust Systems
CruiseLiner replied to stasis's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i always wrap the dump pipe/s and front pipe down to the area where it starts running parralel to the ground to keep engine bay temps down, it costs like $25 to wrap it all and u can touch exhaust where tape is str8 after a dyno run and its not even burning hot so its definately worthwhile, and also protects the paintwork on the firewall area too -
hey guys sorry for the delay in reply ive had no computer for past week, but my car should be ready by 8 weeks but i dont wanna bet on it knowing my luck i might have another car to enter by then anyway if the stagea aint going only time will tell... if i cant make it ill come watch cheers Brad

Woohoo Turbo N Zorst Fitted Tomorrow!
CruiseLiner replied to STAGE-A's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
dont need a manifold lee, waste of time, and dont bother with the china rubbish either. a good trust one or something is over $1500 for the manifold plus fitting (for a highmount anyway), so i'd imagine low mount is same price roughly as its still the same amount of runners and flanges. save the cash and stocky will be fine -
Autech Rs 260 How Many Were Made ?
CruiseLiner replied to RSVFOURUK's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i wonder whats different in the autechs between series 1 and 2 considering they both use r33 gtr running gear. maybe interior changes and front grille, any ideas what else? oh also rear taillights. -
hey ken (RBNT) good luck with the run in and make sure to let us know how the final tune goes then get it down the drags and run some good numbers go the mighty stageas. have u put yours on a weight bridge by any chance to see how much the autech weighs compared to the rs4? my rs four as it is, is 1690kg without a driver and half tank of fuel.

Autech Rs 260 How Many Were Made ?
CruiseLiner replied to RSVFOURUK's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
121 sounds abit low to me, ive seen plenty of different ones at jap auction sites for the past 12 months and theres atleast 10 or so in oz so surely 90% cant be for sale or in oz already? oh and browsing SWAT japan sites there seems to be plenty of them in the club as well. -
nissan would sell them but i couldnt imagine the stupid price they would want for one, i'd be guessing over $200 easy, so as ska as said best bet is an aftermarket one from whiteline (ask sydneykid im sure he could organise u one), or one from another company, im 95% sure they would be identical to r34 gt-t's but thats only guessing so dont take my word for it hope it helps Brad

R33 Gtr Gearbox Into A R34 Gtt
CruiseLiner replied to skyhye's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
how did they manage fitting the transfer case under the body when theres no room for it? did they smash the trans tunnel in or change the rear of box to a rb25 2wd? -
my old user names u mean? stagezilla pretty obvious stagea and godzilla in one and rb26vl cause i had the rb26 in a vl calais before or u mean something else?
-
mines pretty simple, people call the stagea a boat so cruiseliner, and its for cruisin and its a skyline double meaning i suppose i thought 3 in the back is how many chicks u can fit in the back at once
-
hey guys awesome work, thanks alot:) i havent got the tps hooked up (because im running autronics aftermarket ecu) thats why its coming up as an error i just wanted to make doubly sure it wasnt something else. cheers again Brad
-
alex your suspension kit wont fit the 260rs u know, well the fronts will but the backs wont just to let u know. or do u mean thats the stuff u got to sell ?
-
the rs4 rb26 silver one does 11.7 i think and is Safts dads old car. he used to post on here regulary but doesnt much anymore. thats the NZ one anyway
-
quinny i take my comment back now they look mad in silver and suit the car soo well love your photochop skills too, it looks real to me
-
mate they look tough as fr's have gotta be dark centres and polished outer to look the best i reckon, im not a fan of shiny silver/chrome rims.
-
hey guys ive got an error code coming up on my attessa ecu and i got the stagea workshop but its all in japanese i got error code number 75 which is in the screen shot below, can someone please tell me what it says for that number? number 75 i need (no others) thanks heaps
-
different turbos on r34 model (steel wheels) and different cams (or drivetrain) i think, going by aftermarket cams which specify r34 as being different. different CAS as well to suit 34 cams
-
neo rb26 dont exist sorry to disapoint
-
as drifter said why on earth is a rb26 more pricey to build than a rb25 or rb20?????? they all got 6 pistons and rods, bearings, rings so wheres the extra cost? its a big myth i reckon because people always go serious builds with 26's and end up spending 7-8k where as rb25s usually rebuild stock for alot less. an rb25 with same specs as a rb26 is gonna be identical in costs. how couldnt it be?
-
i dont have to take it out because its already out its totally disassembled and waiting for machining and ati balancer from usa then its all back together and in the stagea for a while
-
plenty of things to do as usual got a few plans but just unsure which way to go at the moment
