  1. try another tuner gav and u might be suprised with that setup and gtr-s and 28psi i'd expect more. sell the gt rs turbos and go for a single HKS Z and u will need half the boost for the same power
  2. didnt dirtgarages r32 with 2530s make like 450awkw or something???
  3. i had my brand new jun pump crack the inner gear but luckily i spotted it when the block cracked and engine was apart and i was cleaning the inside of it. $1200 down the drain the front harmonic balancer bolt had come slightly loose and obviously causing balancer to slide up and down the crank nose and the crank nose got sooo hot it welded the balancer str8 onto the nose and expanded the nose enough to crack the inner oil pump gear all this after 1200km of use. another 10 min running and it may have shot a rod through the block and damaged the jun crank etc so i was extremely grateful i found it when i did.
  4. correct cyrus, its the attessa system that makes it hold the pressure. dont matter what gearbox it wont work pulling a fuse. u gotta pull the fuse and then undo the bleeder niple on the rear of the transfer case and let the pressure out and then ya fine. or remove the front driveshaft it seriously is a 10 min job max with a jack and 2 spanners
  5. i agree with the comments that no lsd is actually way more dangerous and is unpredictable as hell. 1 in 10 times it will suddenly spin lsd and snap soo hard u dont have time to counter react as u just dont expect it. ive had a few hairy moments in my first vl turbo (no lsd) that almost ended up in disaster when i had the auto kickdown a gear in the wet and i was fish tailing across 2 lanes and ended up on a footpath about 1 metre from a brickwall. drifting a lsd car is sooo easy and u know its gonna kickout but its easy to save it and control it unlike 1 wheel spinners. lsd's ftw
  6. lovely ride mate looks awesome, is it black or dark blue?
  7. i got mine from autowholesale in perth for 18.2k almost 2 years ago with 120 000km but in immaculate cond with sunroof and series 1 (non neo), why on earth are they asking 25k these days??? more of a demand i think wait 6 months and there will be a nice rb26/gtr 5 speed and gtr diff stagea with fresh engine for sale with bilstein coilovers, and plenty of other goodies im just trying to work out what car to put the current engine into, something small and light is the criteria
  8. dp u funny bugger
  9. 1 t04z cheaper and easier than any twin setup with almost as good response as any of the low mount options twins are wayyyy over rated in my opinion for the bang for ya buck simple design, heaps of engine bay room, easy to work on, one exhuast, one manifold, and one inlet pipe. oh and a nice external gate to upset the neighbours
  10. i have done my old vl engine bay a couple of times actually. firstly i sanded back the old paint abit to make sure the new stuff would stick ok, then went absolutely stupid with cans of spray putty filling in all holes and dimples i could, and even got some polly filler to fil the big indents etc. i used about 25-30 cans on putty which wasnt cheap and sprayed it with spray cans on the closest colur match i could and did around 5-6 coats to make sure it was thick and any scratches wouldnt show through to the undercoat/putty. took it to a drift day and engine bay caught on fire and burnt it to a crisp on the firewall so i took it home and did it all again but got some acrylic paint made up to match the 2pac paint on the car and used a compressor and spray gun. i also got some clear and did plenty of coats afterwards. just dont forget to paint primer on any bare metal showing or it will rust. i cut out the battery tray, smoothed the strut towers and chassis rails and welded in metal plates to fill all the wiring loom holes through firewall and then cut a new hole directly behind the engine so u couldnt see the wiring at all. it come up a treat and heres a pic of the engine out and one with engine installed. i wouldnt attempt my stagea as the strut towers, etc are too rough and it would be a nightmare to attempt again one car was enough for me.
  11. mines upgraded to n1 and never had issues with overheating when cruisin around under 4000rpm for over 1200km or so. must admit it hasnt been 40 degree weather though so that will be a test. didnt move 1 degree on the dyno for a 4-5 hour tune session with various loads on the engine so it seems to be fine. just my 2c worth
  12. hks to4z front comp cover has a bigger inlet (2 3/4' comparet to garrett's 2.5') and looks bigger in size from memory when i seen the garrett unit. mine (hks t04z 0.81) makes fullboost under 5000rpm and pulls hard as hell to 9000rpm and made 417rwhp on 13psi boost (JUN 2.7l stroker) with 3' exhuast/stock gtr cooler and tiny 2.5' rear muffler so its definetely got more in it on the same boost even. that was a really conservative tune and afr's around low 11:1's up above 6500rpm. i can send u a dyno graph if u like but ill pm it as i dont want to post it on the forums. send me a PM if u want anymore info on it. i havent upped the boost anymore as yet because i cracked the stock block but new n1 setup is being put together at moment and will be making some interesting numbers whens the kai make fullboost on your setup? is that the ballbearing version, or is the bb one SPL? how much u want for it and how old is it? they rated to 800 or 1000hp? they use the v band flange onto manifold dont they? for 500-600hp id be tempted to try something smaller like a gt35r as the lag is abit annoying if u have any trackwork planned. maybe i just expect to much power too early in rpm range the big rpm limit makes it alright though as i have 4500rpm to play with.
  13. n1 block time for that power dont waste $1000 on machining work and killing ya stock block, your better to sell it off and get an N1 or u will be doing another build quicker than u think
  14. support is good performance wise but sometimes money talks i know u do it legit with taxes and gst, but people want the most goods for the least money even if they have to wait. i'd pay another $100 for the quick delivery, but no more or i'd just goto greenline.jp sorry PW just saying it like it is... no offence to your prices etc as they seem very reasonable for an australian business
  15. use greenline haha, much better service from my experiences and they reply to emails within about 12 hours max when ive asked questions.
  16. im 99% sure 32 and 33 use the same ones from memory. u would need a r33 gtr one, as the 260rs's use r33 gtr running gear best to get a few opinions as im not 110% sure
  17. r32 gtr with a rebuilt engine, i wouldnt touch an original engined r32 gtr with a 10ft stick unless u like forking out for rebuilds or buy a cheaper one with a high km engine but good body/interior and rebuild it yourself. dont think paying 28k or whatever for an original one will be fine, the engines are way past there used by date in 99% of cases, especially if u wanna pull good numbers with it. the rest of the car is usually reliable (maybe transfer case needs new clutches is about all). the interior is abit 80s though, but id rather a 80s interior and good driveline/engine, than fancy new interior and rb25 and if u wanna do a skid just wire up a switch to activate 2wd best of both words. 2wd with over 350rwhp is a waste of time in my opinion (on the street anyway)
  18. thats an animal, good work mate, best r33 ive ever seen and heard as someone said what sort of 1/4 mile times and mph u running? and power ? goodluck with it
  19. thats how much i paid for a set of jun piston rings hahah, i think taillights are better value
  20. www.youtube.com register and upload it for free
  21. hahah this is a rather long list and i know it will be depressing, i added up my aftermarket parts and its all prices of the parts today of which i paid alot more for at the times i got them. it was a quick adding up but around 60k + labour, thats not the car or engine conversion, not the rb26 engine itself, not the gearbox or diff. just engine mods, susp, brakes, ecu, fuel system, clutch pretty much i know i wont ever see that money again so i doubt ill be selling the engine setup anytime soon, its gonna be following me for a while into a few other cars before even think of selling it. the only thing left to do is use it
  22. hahah, it was really cheap compared to over east, as the caryard was importing a fair few and only one to have import approval at the time i think (maybe 1 queensland shop had it to). it was advertised for 21k or something but after abit of haggling with the owner of the yard and the fact he said he wanted a few on the streets to get them more well known he let it go for cheap. he knew i was doing the 26 conversion too so he knew it would create some attention. little does he know it doesnt get much attention stashed in my garage for the best part of 2 years caryards over east still asking 25k+ for stageas today is abit pricey.
  23. the jun 272/11.35mm lift ones i got run smaller base circles and do require thicker shims to be made up. i got my shims custom made by precision shims australia shims cost $195 i think from memory for the 24 EDIT: the 272/9.7 lift have stock base circle so they are fine with stock shims.. http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/cylinder...ft-rb26.html?en the BC in the chart is the base circle
  24. bought mine on 6th october 2004 to be exact (one of the first few owners on here with sydneykid and a few other guys) and have done about 2000km in it since that day oh the joys of stuffing around with drivelines and engine combos 2 weeks into owning it i ripped the driveline and engine out to start on the conversion and god i cant beleive the amount of stuff ive learnt over the years. i bought it for daily duties and for less cop attention and the fact i had a dog and sedans were impractical with dogs. unfortunetely the ex-misses left and took the dog as well in dec 04 which made me think i could of just bought a gtr instead and saved all the dramas. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=52866&hl= thats my first post the day i bought it when i didnt know a damn thing about stageas except they were made by nissan if i knew i was gonna have this many dramas i woulda left the bugger stock back in late 04 u mention u have a stagea and people just didnt have a damn clue, today i mention it and 90% of people know about them now which is a shame, the rareness is slowly going away
  25. hey mate do u happen to have a link to the for sale post? i tried searching but come up with nuthin. goldzilla u can still get them i dont really care, im in perth so it doesnt matter, as long as a silver stagea in perth doesnt copy im happy
