  1. I could hear sirens non stop about 20 mins ago but it seems to have subsided. Also earlier today i spotted a 180 on fire outbound on the Monash just before stud road.
  2. I was kicking back at home around 3ish when i got thick smell of smoke wafting through the house. Stepped outside only to see a shitload of smoke. I went for a drive 5 mins up the road and came across 'Elvis' filling up. The amount of water that thing sucks up is unbelievable. I could literally see the water level drop every singe time.
  3. I'm in. A set for an Rb26. Thanks
  4. All this information is contained in a book that hthe TMU carry around with them. It's like a 'beginners guide to imports' and lists all the things to look for. I remember seeing it when i was pulled over and the first thing i saw in big bold writing was 'Turbo Skylines all have a 5 stud wheel pattern' or something along those lines.
  5. This just happened to me. The thread on the sump is damaged and as a result the sump plug does not tighten. Can anyone please give me some advice on where i can find a mobile thread repair man in south east Melbourne?
  6. Yeah i only give a wave to lines with sau stickers although i don't have mine on yet.
  7. I drove past an undercover VT wagon on the monash last night near Heatherton Rd. It was sitting in the emergency lane with its lights flashing checking out some old ford wagon sitting on bricks.
  8. Personally i don't think it's the right time to be importing a car with the 1AUD only netting you 65Yen. The prices on parts from Japan have skyrocketed, i can't imagine what the purchase price of a car would be especially a 34 gtr.
  9. http://www.ryda.com.au/Clarion-SRV313-Acti...er-p/srv313.htm
  10. I know Clarion make one but i can't remember the model number.
  11. Apparently this is now a very common problem for all 32 gtr's due to their age. I would personally change the o-rings first before purchasing new injectors.
  12. Thanks for all your replies guys. Unfortunately i don't have access to an oxy torch so looks like i'll have to go the c02 in a can route and purchase a breaker bar. Any suggestions on what length bar to get taking into consideration that i don't have deep pockets like alot of other gtr owners? Also as you have suggested the square drive doesn't fit perfectly so do you know the exact size of the socket that's needed to get the plug loosened?
  13. If i eventually have to get it towed, is it ok for the car to roll around with no g'box fluid?
  14. Can anyone else please confirm if i can fill it through the shifter on a 32 gtr as i'm getting conflicting opinions. Initially i thought it was only 33's where you could do this.
  15. This f***n plug won't move no matter what i do. I don't know what to do now.
  16. I had a feeling it was loctite. I'll heat it up and see what happens.
  17. Wd40 didn't work. Any other suggestions?
  18. Thanks for your reply Deano, i'll try some wd40. I also forgot to mention that there is redish silicone type sealant around the plug.
  19. I've used RHD before and i have nothing but praise for their quality of service and prices.
  20. I have encountered a dilemma while changing the gearbox oil in my 32 gtr. Now I've loosened the drainage plug and dropped the oil but now i can't get the filler plug off (lesson learnt). I've tried using a torque wrench but it still doesn't budge. Can anyone give suggestions on what to do? I've heard that you can fill the gearbox via the interior but i am unsure on how to do this. Can someone please enlighten me? Thanks
  21. and don't forget the best part "no seat belt" Seeing the in car and side street launch of that Garage Active Gtr was and still is my favourite clip from all the hpi dvd's. I could watch that sh it all day.
