when i got my stag it was qld rego all i had to do take papers in to the vic-roads office and they changed it over to vic rego didnt have to get a roadworthy done or anything all they did was checked the vin plate to see if it matched and i drove away with vic reg and plates, only other thing i had to do was send the qld rego label back with a changeover form that i got from vicroads office and i was sent a cheque for the balance of the qld rego bout 2 weeks later.

the carbon bonnets are "illegal" as they do not provide any crumple zone support in victoria at least so i would assume that fibreglass would be the same? just my 2 cents

just a wild suggestion here, and feel free to bash the crap out of it all of you. why not put the car on dedicated LPG such as an injected system like the new falcon system they are doing in adelaide? would this not get around the emissions problem??? just a thought is all cheers oxford

maybe the car has a remote located filter???? if there are some hoses and an aluminium plate with fittings in it on the side of the drivers side of the engine block (located directly above the main crossmember) have a look where the hoses go an follow them till you find the filter.

Gb: Gts-t / Gtt Silicone Inlet Pipe From Airbox To Turbo
oxford1327 replied to Bass Junky's topic in Group Buys
large diameter of pipe req'd a trim up of around 5mm from the turbo end and around 8-10mm from the afm end to fit nicely otherwise the pipe was starting to kink a bit when airbox was bein put back on, and would have been easier for it to close over as the rubber one is purported to do under load. the smaller of the two take off pipes needed about 10-15mm taken off it as well for ease of fitting but all in all its is better to have too much on there and have to trim it than to be too short eh? cheeers oxford -
Gb: Gts-t / Gtt Silicone Inlet Pipe From Airbox To Turbo
oxford1327 replied to Bass Junky's topic in Group Buys
heya all. i fitted my inlet pipe on my S2 stagea yesterday, took a little bit of fiddling and trimming to length but as it was the first time i have actually had the pipework and all the associated bits off it prolly took me longer than all of the experienced tinkerers on here. from start to finish, including a test run etc. it took me just on 3hours, but i also take my time when doin stuff like that and am also probably over cautious too making sure of clearances and tolerances etc. cos i am a maintainence fitter and turner, so i like stuff to be spot on even when you can't see it. woulda taken pics but forgot my camera and was also doing it at work so had to do it between breakdown calls in the factory, only tips for others would be to not pay any attention to the shape of the std unit as it is half squashed when installed anyway, and that you should make sure you can get to any/all the clamps when you install new one.(more than half an hour of the removal of original unit was getting to the bloody clamps!!!) anyway its on and all good so good luck to all others in fitting theirs cheers oxford -
Average Age Of Stagea Owner?
oxford1327 replied to yokotas13's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
same as our tongues and a zebra's stripes they are individual to each creature, and soon in the states they are thinking of taking tongue prints as well as finger prints and iris scans of big time bad asses in the jails etc. as there have been a few cases where the crims have rendered the dental records and finger prints records defunct by mutilating themselves, and to the point of one guy that scalpelled his finger pads off, chopped them up and stuck em all back on in a jumble. there are certainly some determined people out there that don wanna be found -

S1 260rs Diff/trany Binding Issues
oxford1327 replied to MyStag260's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
just a thought guys but do you think it may have an aftermarket 2way lsd/locked centre diff in it? as this would most probably show the same symptoms you are describing just my 2 cents. cheers oxford -
still get a little bit of wind noise when in a heavy wind or have turned the wick up a bit on the back roads etc but all in all they are a good investment as they give a lot of other benefits too cheers oxford

to get rid of the fuel cut you could buy a little magic box called a PIVOT SPEEDMETER to suit an r33 gtr and this does a few things. 1) it gets rid of the 180klm cutout. 2)it will give you a more accurate readout in a digital display. 3) it will record highest speed reached and hold it until the ignition is switched off. 4)it will record 100metre 200metre 300metre and 400 metre times 5) it will record the average speed of the trip. and i think it does a bit of other stuff too and they are around $100 aussie dollars delivered, link below. i have one and it works a treat http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Geniune-PIV...sspagenameZWDVW

i can attest to the workability of the "secret squirrel tweak" as i have it installed on my car and it is easy to fit and allows you to tune the power fc as you would in any other car. cheers oxford
