For Sale Stagea Cd Stacker
oxford1327 posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hi all i have decided to remove the std nissan (rebadged pioneer?) stacker from the rear of the wagon so if anybody has a need for one just lemme know? it is however missing the cartridge/cassette that holds the discs. when i purchased the car it was already missing from when it was imported. i am removing it once i work out how to so i can install my new first aid travel kit in the rear quarter without losing any of the rest of the storage space in the quarters. wouldn have a clue what they are worth so chuck me an offer and if it sounds reasonable i will send it to ya cheers oxford -
k sorry bud i got no suggestions at all then, this is the first jap car i ever had, all previous cars were either old shitfighters or auto's, only real manual i had any dramas with was an SS LX hatchback with a small block chev in it and after stuffing around with clutch blow ups i converted it to a powerglide with a trans-brake so was like a manual anyway. so the stagea is the first manual car i have had in years. cheers oxford

sorry meant to also suggest removing the caliper/s from the mounts and getting them as high as possible too while pumping the pedal with a block between the pads so your pistons don't overtravel and come out, as there may be a spot that is holding air in the caliper? if you work on an airbase there should be a nice steep load ramp or somethin you maybe able to use so that the front of the car is at the highest point then chock wheels securely, and remove calipers from mount and get them as high as you can and forward of the master cylinder if possible up ramp, pump fluid through manually until you have some thing like pedal feel, then start car and continue process, as the brakes are vacuum assisted they sometimes won't bleed properly until there is vacuum in the system. good luck cheers oxford

i believe there was someone doing a group buy of different colour led's on the GB thread so maybe do a search and see if he has them yet? they were gonna be in white (std) blue amber and i think green? had a few pics of them installed in gtr dashes adn looked the goods, so might be worth sussing out? cheers oxford

i would suggest that you have an air bubble in the top of the system somewhere when it is installed and no matter how much fluid you pump through there it will not escape unless you can find a way to get it so that the bleed nipple is the highest point of the system. i have had the same problem with several of my italian bikes in the past and it seems to be the only way we could get the rear brakes to work on them at all, and we had to do this by removing the brake caliper from the swing arm and tipping it upside down so the nipple was above the centre line of the master cylinder. hope this helps in some way? cheers oxford

i think when you take the wing off you will find that there are two dips in the top of the tailgate where the wing attaches, and also some holes you will hafta fill where the wiring goes through for your led tail light and of course the bolts that attach it. if you could send me some pics of the pillar covers would be awesome or even better if you could find a part number on em?so i can see if i can get some from slidewize imports. also wondering if yours came with a cargo net? if so and you don want it i will be only too glad to purchase that from you as well? hahahaha cheers oxford
-
welcome to the club. i am certain you will be pleased overall with your purchase. ifn ya don't want the rear wing i will buy it off ya as saves me painting another one!, or could do you a swap for an original one? also could you tell me what breed the rear pillar covers are as i am looking to do the same to mine, either that or i was just gonna paint my original ones black so it looked like the windows continued right to the rear of the car. that is unless you wanna sell/trade me them too???? hahaha either way car looks fookin sweet, but have fun keepin the european wasps away from it, reckon they must think it is a big brother or somethin' cos doesn seem to matter where i go they seem to gather on it, little blighters in their stripey jumpers give me the sh#*s! cheers oxford

i too was looking at a haltech interceptor unit but then i found that i could use an A'Pexi power FC as mine is a manual series2, A) it was cheaper than the haltech B)it was easy to install and tune(once i got the secret squirrel tweak) C) it has more data points for tuning so very flexible for all levels of tuning and finally D) i had a lot of trouble with supply of the haltech unit from my local distributor as he was very vague about how he would tune the car on a 2 wheel dyno. as the stagea is not like some other cars where you can just yank a fuse out and its all good. doesn't work that easy and the end result could be horrendously expensive too!!!!!! just my 2 cents

Removing The Rear Spoiler To Repaint/repair
oxford1327 replied to oxford1327's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i believe from what the yard i bought it from tells me anyway. my car has a small repair in the left rear quarter, and from what i can tell there is evidence supporting that but it doesn't look as though it was anything major, my painter has since told me that he sees the paint clearcoat peeling all the time on many imports whether they are nissan or other. he also said that the SFHC is a load of shit too as it doesn't really achieve anything other than make the car harder to prepare if any repairs are req'd at any time in the future. i have seen the mounting bolts on the side of the wing inside the rear gate but it appears that it is only a locator pin in the centre as i could not feel any thread on it so i a was wondering whether its held on with either urethane or double sided tape etc.????? was also wondering what would look like without it too and just bog up the holes maybe? anyone seen one like that???? or buy a RICER wing for it and make it look like a daewoo hahahahaha -
hello all i am looking at getting my rear spoiler removed so it can be repaired and repainted due to the clear coat having sunburn, and it is all falling off and generally looks like shit. i have a quote to re-do the entire rear gate and spoiler as well as the eyelids i have at around 250-300 bucks. painter also spottoed a run in the rear bar that he said would rub out no worries and then be cut up to look all brand new too. so if i can get any tips on removing the spoiler without smashing/scratching any thing else around it? also i would like to get the little plastic covers at the rear of the side windows removfed and painted black so it looks as if the windows go all the way back to the tailgate, so any tips on the removal of these would be greatly appreciated too. cheers oxford

i get the same questions almost daily. 1) what the hell is that thing? 2) is it a volvo? 3) is it a hybrid AUDI? (cos of the RS4 badge on grille) 4) where'd ya get it, how much etc...? as mine is the only one for a fair radius that i know of it kinda sticks out(also prolly would'n help that its bright yellow) its fun to see all the young fellas pull up and try and nut it out, even had a copper pull me over just to ask all of the above questions at once, even asked if he could have a sit in it. hahahaha he reckons he had seen it all over the town and had been buggin him for weeks and none of the others coppers knew what he was on about so he took some pics on his digital to show em all, then about 3 weeks later got pulled over by another copper to have a look at the car they were all talking about, he asked for a sit then had the balls to ask for a drive!! so i asked him if i could hold his gun while he drove i would consider it! needless to say he declined

pics would be good chief????? -
i seriously thought about installing a motec ems in my stag but then i was convinced an A'pexi PFC would be a cheaper and just as capable setup, of course it would need the patent pending "secret squirrel mod" but i am stoked with the difference mine has at a fraction of the cost of a motec. this in turn leaves more coinage to apply further mods elsewhere. only thing may be if yours is auto the pfc is no good to ya i don think.
