just like to say welcome to the clan so to speak, i am sure you will find all of the fellow wagoneers are very friendly and most helpful. the wealth of knowledge that has been collectively gathered is immense and pretty much everyone is willing to share and advise to the best of their ability. cheers and hope you enjoy the new ride. oxford.

finalised the tune of the power fc on the shitfighter today decided to go with a mild map that came out at 171.5KW at the rears at 4630 RPM and pretty much maintains that level till 6200 RPM then starts to drop off from there. i dont have a scanner so i cant show the curve but will try to organise it soon. mods are as follows. power fc, split dump pipe, hi-flow cat, centre resonator removed and custom rear muffler, free breathing panel filter, turbosmart E-BOOST2 set at 11.5 PSI,C's brand short shifter kit, and pivot speed meter x. havent really decided what else to do yet power wise, but see what happens down the track. as it is my daily driver and also the shopping trolley for the girlfriend i need to keep it reasonably cruisy to drive, i have my APRILIA ifn i wanna go stupid but is nice to have a car there to have some fun in too. cheers oxford

no i wont be takin my car to UAS. i am in ballarat in victoria so am taking it to a local mob i just wanted to clarify some things that i have had conflicting opinions on. EG: #1 dont hafta take shafts out but need to bleed off pressure in the atessa system, #2 do hafta take shafts out or will burn clutches out, #3 if do chose to take shafts out it will lunch the front diff because of the lash when there is no load on it etc.... thats why i thouhgt i would ask some of the guys on here and get a 15th opinion. i have since spoken to andy (EGA41T) on the phone and he has assured me that when his was done they took the shafts out and seemed to be all good so i am gonna take that info to my tuner as a good recommendation. person i am gettin to do the power fc install was just not sure as he had never seen let alone tuned a stagea before he laid eyes on mine couple weeks ago, even though he has worked plenty of skylines over in the past he just wanted to be sure so as to not damage my car.

what did you have to do when tuning on a 2wd dyno unit? as in did you just pull a fuse or was the atessa system somewhat more complicated to get around? just curious as i am getting my computer fitted mid next week in my series2 manual so would be nice to know if its safe to just yank the fuse, or do i have to do a whole lot more?

hiya all. i met with bass junky this morning for trial fitting with the series2 template. after discovering there are a few little differences in the mouldings of the front grilles of S1 and S2 we marked where the differences are and otherwise was a good fit. so hopefully it wont be long now guys and goils. i must say however the part does look to be well thought out and very neat in its construction, and when in place it should certainly look the goods. cheers oxford

hiya all. yes myself and bass are to meet tomorrow in the morning so hopefully there will be an update at some stagea tomorrow by either my self or bass as to how it fitted etc. and then hopefully all will be well and they will be all done soon as no doubt you all hope as well as i know bassjunky does. cheers oxford

Wtb Short Throw Shifter

i am a firm believer in you get what you pay for on ebay and in general everywhere else you buy gear from. i am also a great believer in having a warranty supplied with the product so you have a recourse when/if something does go wrong and your stuck on the side of the road! dont mean to be a stickler R33stagea but i would rather go with a known brand than some cheap ass chinese copy which are generally in past experiences of s*%thouse quality and dont really work too well in their application. so as a result i bought a known brand with a written guarentee/warranty from a recognised parts dealer and now that i have it installed i am comfortable that i will get a long service life from the product supplied. as it was a great fit and the instructions supplied were well laid out etc. including diagrams for those like me that cant read full japanese (i didn't look hard enough in the box of bits for the english ones) it went in a treat and works really well cheers oxford -
i filled up my series 2 for a weekend run down the coast. we did 610klms on 65litre tank using the boost 98 only thing i noticed that was bad, was there was a bit more soot in the exhaust outlet and on the rear gate for the first half of the trip, but once i washed the car it hasn't been there again so maybe it was just blowing the old carbon deposits out?. all in all it seems to be a good product and i will continue to use it, engine feels a little smoother at idle too so that cant be bad.

oxford1327 replied to familka gtr's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
what would be the reason behind getting rid of them? how rough was the ride etc, hard spring ratings? when they were installed was there anything that made the handling seem off,and what sort of adjustability do they have? -
wont have to worry bout a lock holding it open as it will hold itself open whilst draining, they are a fairly tight tolerance valve so they will stay put in the position you choose until you switch it back.

My Speedo Is Not Acurate..how Is Yours?
oxford1327 replied to bluesky4me's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
or you could buy a pivot speed meter and it will get rid of the fuel cutout at 180KPH and also is more accurate with a red digital readout. these little boxes work a treat as they also have a peak/hold function for trap speeds and 1/4 mile readouts too for strip runs if thats what you wanna look at. from memory mine was around $125 plus install approx 3/4hr labour. -
hiya all. i am chasing a rear cover for the headlight of a series2 stagea, its the bit that covers and seals the globes in. mine got "misplaced" by the local nissan dealership when their apprentice changed one of my parker light globes. of course they do not accept responsibility so i am left to get one, trouble is even in the FAST program the part number on the cover from opposite side does not come up!. so if anybody knows where i can get one or even if there is a car that would be a match can they please lemme know asap. cheers oxford.

hiya all. i am looking to replace a headlight cap for the rear of my headlight after the local nissan dealer lost it!!! and wont admit responsibility even though they were the only ones to touch that area of the car. its the 1/4 turn sealing cap that covers the rear of the globes so they dont get wet. if any one knows there is a crossover part number to another vehicle that would be great even as the nobs at nissan cant find that part number in FAST any help would be awesome guys. cheers oxford
