  1. hiya bass please put me down for a black intake pipe to suit a series 2 stagea. will deposit coin into bank on friday and let you know details etc friday arvo. (lets just hope this buy goes a bit smoother than last one eh?) cheers oxford
  2. heya zaffa. i would be interested in one of them rubber boot mats as my girlfriends boys have started to play soccer on the weekend so would like to limit the amount of crud that enteers the car etc. also as a side note i have not heard from andrew (kudos) regarding the auto headlilght bejigger either? any ideas on price yet please? cheers oxford
  3. hey guys careful what you post on here about speeding etc. as i have had a warning previously about some stuff i said bout speeding on my aprilia and stuff so heads up k. cheers oxford
  4. if you dont have the senders you may be better off to install a DEFI din gauge set, they have a different set of readings in them but they are super high quality only down side is they aint cheap either.
  5. try e-bay never know what you will find on there? also try the for sale section of this site under business traders and there are a couple of stageas being wrecked in there somewhere. hope this helps cheers oxford
  6. all good advice guys and while i am fully aware of the incessant beeping etc coming from the car, when "she who must be obeyed" gets out of the car she must suddenly develop domestic deafness of some sort and ignores it, so short of putting a siren as loud as a cop car in the loop for the lights. i just bloody want the auto light bejigger as this would be much more "user "friendly. cheers oxford
  7. i would definitely be interested in purchasing several random bits and pieces from you if you were to bring in a half cut for sure. prefer series2 though? cheers oxford
  8. wouldnt it be cheaper to just get a new girlfriend that knows how to operate headlights? i will tell her that but i would prolly get slapped to death HAHAHAHA (no really) so no it would not really be cheaper to get a new one! unfortunate cos due to update to a new model something shortly hehehehe
  9. just to clarify for the sarcastic ones. it is not i that requires the auto light jigger for the car it is so my girlfriend does not continue to leave the bloody lights on and flatten my battery again, as she is a crumpldore driver and her car has the light jigger on it. i am quite capable of turning the lights off/on my self but she seems reticent to obtain this skill. cheers oxford
  10. hiya guys just got an email back from slidewize imports, to buy the headlight gizmo would be around $250 aus delivered so am kinda thinking it may be a very expensive gamble to see if it works plug and play??? i would really like this function but wasn't expecting it to be anywhere near that expensive, does anyone know if there would be any half cuts at a wreckers with one of these sitting in it?. if you know of anyone with a half cut could you please Pm me and lemme know details etc. cheers oxford
  11. k cool i will try and get this setup fitted to my car if i can get a hold of one from japan and as stated before with regard to the turbo timer. if it interferes with the lights not going off etc i will piss the timer off cheers oxford
  12. k cool just wasn sure if it was worthwhile pursuing one, but by the sound of it, it may be worth chasing one down. the one in the pic of first post comes as an assembly including the wiper stalk for 3000yen on yahoo so should be around 50-60 bucks aussie shipped? does that sound right? if it works and have trouble with the time side of it i will just hafta piss the timer off i spose, cos its better than having flat battery after missus drives it (she has crumpldoor) and forgets to turn off lights!!!!! cheers oxford
  13. my car already has a light sensor in the dash down close to the windscreen on the passenger side in between the heater vents, that is why i was wondering whether i could just put it in and play from there? so i take it from the post above that it is only to turn them on once it gets dark? or does it also have auto shut off once ignition is killed?, also on a side note how would this go if you have a turbo timer? as you would already be away from the car with it locked when it shut off, so would this mean that the headlights would stay on??? cheers oxford
  14. hello all i was reading thru my manual the other day and found that some stageas come with an auto headlight function, i am assuming this is similar to the commodore type switch, where in that the lights automatically switch off once the ignition is off and the door is opened? or is it the other way around?, in that going by the sensor in the dash it tells the car to turn the lilghts on when it becomes dark enough? can anybody shed some light on this so to speak hehehe? and either way i was wondering also whether these stalks could be installed and work as a plug and play arrangement or would there need to be a different loom? i have found one on the japanese yahoo site and have attached a pic of it so that you can see if yours has this and if it works etc? and which way it works too? i would like to get one of these for my car but am eager to know what is required before i ask someone to get it for me. cheers oxford
  15. best economy i have achieved out of my series2 is 585klm's from full to the light being on for 10 klm's. this was almost all highway k's with about 50 k's of town driving. mine is manual with following mod's, custom exhaust, free breathing filter panel, apexi power fc, running boost98 fuel, turbosmart E-boost 2 controller, entire driveline treated with slick 50 to reduce friction losses, and tune set at 175 kw at all four wheels. most of the trip had it ticking over at between 110 and 120 on the highway so wasn't in boost and air/fuel meter was reading around 14.6 - 14.7 which is pretty close to stoich (ideal mixture) then when driving to work and back in town with light traffic can be as low as 360klm's from full cos i am clowning with commodores etc. hehehehe cheers oxford
  16. i know i didn hafta modify anything on my series 2 just had to remove the plastic mini duct thingy that hangs over the radiator support panel so could fit deflector panel in there, it comes of real easy with only 2 of the half turn type plastic fasteners. hope this helps ya? cheers oxford
  17. it helps direct the airflow through the radiator more effectively by blocking off the opening at the top, thereby theoretically assisting the engine to stay slightly cooler. also if you were to get one with the "scoop" in it (as i did) the scoop directs cooler air from in front of the grille directly to the airbox, instead of the warmed air from around the gap between radiator and grille, thereby theoretically giving a cooler intake charge. and finally it also looks a lot neater as you don't see down the hole (also gives you somewhere to sit tools etc. while working on mods) cheers oxford
  18. i bought mine sight unseen from motorman imports in QLD and had it trucked down to VIC. had no major issues only one was that the cartage company tied the car down that hard it blew the rear shocks out!!! i was there when they unloaded it and i was horrified, i called the car yard and told them and they were straight on the blower to cartage co and made them pay for half of the suspension replacement!! and car yard also fronted with 500bucks towards it too so was mighty happy then:). guys who own motorman are father and son pair of pommie blokes and are really good to deal through good luck in your search. cheers oxford
  19. spottoed by girlfriend, (she thinks anyway) black stagea on the news being impounded under the hoon laws? wondering if was anyone on here or if anyone else saw it too?
  20. i converted my flare clips into a mag lite style torch holder and its kind of a handy spot to keep torch too cos it will usually be the passenger that is req'd to hold one anyway, only thing was that the clips are a touch small for a "MAGLITE" but some other equivalent brand torches will fit straight in them. or you could just buy the proper maglite brand clips and install them in the originals place i spose? cheers oxford
  21. have the stacker out now so will take a pic when i gewt home from work and post it up including a nice close up of the plug so can see ifn it will fit in with other systems like beastien asked. cheers oxford
  22. bloke i work with spotted a silver s1 in ballan vic. recently. reckons it stuck out like dogs nuts cos it was the only car in the town that wasn a ute with 50 aerials hangin off the bull bar hahahaha
  23. dont know for sure as have never had a stacker in a car before and am also not really an audiophile either.
  24. the white one looks schmick but not a fan of the blue/silver ones face, must be a different year model i am guessing? and they all still have thae usual subaru shoe box look, gimme the stag for sleek lines any day of the year. just my 2cents
  25. have decided that whoever wants the stacker can have it for the cost of posting it to you or can do a C.O.D arangement. otherwise its just gonna sit in a box in the corner of the shed and get dusty along with the tape deck head unit that got yanked out of the car day after it arrived. so come on ppl's its here for the taking?????? cheers oxford
