  1. Just saw this article saying that Nissan, Nismo and Autech are going to be ramping up production of parts as a heritage product program. Am hoping this will continue to be rolled out to other models in future
  2. had a manual years ago and loved it once i had a short shifter in it, but i'm old and lazy now, so i'll suffice with the auto and use the tiptronic when i wanna feel all racey hahahaha. and i have a manual in my dual cab for when i need to tow heavy crap, id just like to tickle the auto up a touch in this one so it doesnt slip so bloody much on changes, and i also don't think it's ever been properly serviced other than oil changed, so she needs a thorough going over
  3. okey dokey cheers kiwi, wasnt sure if there was any further advancements.
  4. I know its an old thread but I would like to know if there is still anyone dong shift kits for S2 stags in Victoria? other than the fact i don"t think mine was ever properly serviced other than an oil dump/change, i'd like to get it tightened up on the shift as well as ready to cope with some more ponies very soon.
  5. Thanks gents, gives me a clearer picture of what i need to do, and less trial and error to allow figures to be achieved comfortably
  6. can you please provide a breakdown of mods done to achieve what you've got there? I have a series 2 auto and am looking to get around the same numbers, so would be interested to see what is required to get in that ball park.
  7. I'll take it, please pm me bank details to the following number. 0417151262
  8. OK thanks I'll have a measure up and get back to you, can you also let me know the part number on box?
  9. can you please run a tape measure or ruler across the end of the tips and tell the width of the tips together, as well as the width of the body of muffler.?? i have a Takeros kit on a stagea and am looking to get rid of the milo tin cannon but need to know measurements so can see if will fit in opening
  10. Okey dokey, cheers. I wasn't sure if it needed to be sent to them prior as didn't say anywhere on nistune site how long it took to install /mod ecu, so thought might be a send away jobbie, then take car to have fitted once mods complete. Apologies for my noob level of knowledge, it's been almost 10years since I've had any experience fiddling with cars and am learning all over again
  11. How do I obtain a copy of FAST nowadays?, when I sold my last stag my copy of fast and translated workshop manual went with it. On the nistune page it has the 0V811. And 0V812 as being both for auto series 2 but wondered what the difference is?
  12. My next question is if an ecu with the number ending in 0V812 is compatible with the unit I have that ends in 0V811? If not, what key differences are of concern?
  13. I was more thinking about the turn around time for the modding of the ecu and then having to trailer it to be installed and tuned, especially seeing as it would be about 2-3hours drive either direction for me to tow car to tuners without an ecu, where as if i had a donor ecu that was the same format i could send it off to be modded and then drive the car to tuners for install etc. as well as have a standard unit in case there is a fault in future or i choose to sell the car and put it back to stock for some ungodly reason. that would be my reasoning behind having a spare ecu is all
  14. is the ECU still available, if so what part number is it? I am chasing one with the part number 23740-0V811
  15. what number ECU is in the car please and how much ? I am after one with the following numbers: 23740-0V811
  16. as opposed to the Z32? or the standard unit? what difference is there between the standard unit, the Z32, and the R35? is it a level of flow reading or more fine tuning scope or something?
  17. Now I need to find and obtain the following Ecu to use as a donor if anyone can assist. Part no: 23740-0V811. That's what is already in the car.
  18. awesome, thanks for the tip . I will try and find him when the funds allow, at the moment I am just getting the roadworthy side of things sorted, am hoping as of today it is all completed, and ready for vicroads to extort their pounds of flesh from me next week. then after christmas it will be more likely to start tickling the car a bit, and getting a tow bar made and fitted.
  19. so at the end of the day it sounds a lot like a Nistune will be the winner here, now who here can tell me where I may purchase this mythical creature and who is a well known and reliable tuner in victoria?
  20. hmmm it seems the old Nistune is still getting more mention than anything else, so may need to suss out more info on this avenue, any leads or tips from you guys would be most beneficial..... so that i may discuss further with my local tuner in the hope that he knows a thing or 5 about this angle of approach. any loopholes or issues that may be exploited or avoided would be awesome from those with previous experience would be massively appreciated with regard to the Nistune option,l or should I still consider the Power-FC as my old tuner knows them well........??????
  21. okey dokey, nistune is getting the votes so far, what about Link ecu's in case of further "needed" mods in the future, as far as I can tell haltech's only work with manual boxes thoughts?
  22. I have recently returned to the stagea ownership family, and this time round i got an auto in a series2 , it is a 4wd but doesn't have Hicas, i was wondering what upgrade ECU's are available nowadays? my old stag was a RS4S manual so it had a Power FC, which at the time was a great thing and pretty much the only thing around that worked with them, I was hoping someone on here might be able to shed some light on what modern systems are around that can be used for the auto tiptronic version, and also what known issues there are to get them to work properly etc. etc. I am unsure whether the previous owner of my new toy was a member on here, but the car had an engine rebuild about 18months ago, and is now nicely run in and running 160kw at all wheels on factory boost 9psi, so i would like to give it a bit of a tickle up and at this stage i am not chasing big numbers, but would like to see around 190-200kw so that its is still a comfy daily , and also give the young blokes in their commonwhores a bit of a fright. any input would be much appreciated and look forward to the educated opinions as well as the others this will inevitably bring forth. cheers, Oxford
  23. will you do $90 posted to Ballarat Victoria 3356 for the stagea airbox? as long as it is unmolested and has all the clips and no cracks etc?
  24. chasing a heater core and radiator fan shroud if any bits are still available?
