  1. Regarding the Lotus 2-eleven, why not just go an elfin?
  2. yeeeeeeeeeeah I got it... You might actually walk away with an award Cass... and I think you know which one Got your other one too Aggroman
  3. yeah I dunno, I used all the sata cables I had I had a feeling they would nee to be in a certain order... I need to figure out what it is though cause in order to get to the sata ports, I have to take the vid card out... then I can't test the cards without the vid card. I'm having massive problems with Borderlands too... Steam thinks it's not installed and it's a 7 gig download...
  4. It's all so I can play solitaire in the best res. I got it to work... sort of... it comes and goes. all up I have 5 HDD's, and 1 cd rom. at the moment, one of the SSDs isn't showing up and neither is the cd rom. Depending on where I plug them in on the motherboard they appear and disappear... It's not vital at the moment as I'm waiting on a 3.25 drive holder to turn up so I can mount the two SSDs... I'll sort the RAID0 out then.
  5. I think one of my SSDs is farked... BIOS doesn't label it and when setting up Windows 7, it thought the drive was 950gigs... I wish. I'm going to check it more tonight (didn't get much of a chance last night) then probably send it back and sort out the RAID0 at a later date
  6. The CF touches on that wing are fkn nice! I am impressed.
  7. Mos tlikely the seatbelt warning light... does your warning light work at all?
  8. Yeah they won't ship to Aus so I went with a local distributor. CBF with all the hassles that involves. They have good gear though, and decent stock. I don't know about the power thing exactly... I know their plugs are physically different and their voltage runs at 110 instead of 240... Most hardware has a convertor that can take either though.
  9. You guys can wait your 3 months for 5970 waterblocks but I've already got my GTX295 Co-Op installed Yes there's always better, but it always costs more. I think I have spent enough. for now...
  10. I don't see tilatech.com having ANY video cards, let alone stock of the 5970... So with the fact that it's more expensive, f**king massive, doesn't have many or any watercooling blocks, and that I can't even find one to buy, I'm going to stick to my 295 choice Which by the way, was waiting for me at work along with everything else.
  11. It comes with a box lined with felt... you totally want that shit I wonder, with the extra cars... can you just buy them from the online trader thingy?
  12. Nope Only those 3 tyres left (literally 3, not 3 types or 3 sets, 3 different tyres).
  13. SAU is very anti-hoon behaviour orientated (obviously)... This is why we spend months organising track days, motorkhanas, drag days etc etc so you have an accesible, affordable outlet for your motorsport needs. Look a the latest Texi, it's on January 31st and we've spent well over a year putting together a cost effective day for anyone to come and drive their car how they please. At $45 for the whole day (9am to 5pm runs), it's an absolute bargain. Personally, I was enjoying your posts Grk_R33, a lot of people that sign up here can barely type out the english language and normally due to the younger age (I mean younger then 20, normally around 15 - 17) are quite stupid and unable to take on any information put before them. You've done well so far. But we do not tolerate hooning or the breaking of any laws on this forum. It has been mentioned before that the police have, and do, browse these forums for whatever reason (mentioned BY the police), so saying you break the law isn't the wisest thing. Saying that you only do it when you're angry is even worse, it means you are not in total control and will make rash decisions. This actually worries me, if I were you, I would find something different to get your anger out. My advice to you is, don't buy a turbo car. Don't modify it to a non-turbo. Buy a legal car. 2 years is a damn long time! Other then that, I see a lot of myself in Toms posts. But I soon realised that a dickhead hoon in a skyline is going to be a dickhead hoon in anything. I don't want you out there speeding at all, especially not in a skyline, which is why I think this club could greatly benefit you. The ability to know and control your car could one day save your life. Buy an NA, enjoy hassle free club events where you're not going to blow a turbo or detonate the engine for two years, then when you have the skills, up the power
  14. For $1500? Not a lot... There's some watercooling gear that comes with the case, but like I said, I'm replacing most of it. I think all that will be left is the pump, even though I want to replace that too, just no stock of the swiftech pump... so really, that leaves the built in reservoir.
  15. Is Thermaltake like the Honda of the high end computing world?
  16. Where would I buy 5970 from in the states that ships internationally? And for a total cost of $700?
  17. what I mean is, $1000 on a vid card when it is probably something I may upgrade in a few years is a bit pricey... as it seems anyway, I got the best card I could... no 295s in stock anymore either...
  18. no 5970 in stock, and it costs a thousand dollars... seeing as how I said I WON'T be doing quad SLI, I don't see the need for the extra money... and yes, seriously, have a cry... sorry it's not a Lian-li filing cabinet... GPU - $700 - close enough i7 920 - $400 - close enough RAM - $270 - not close at all mobo - $350 - close PSU - $330 - close again Case - $250 - way off (this price includes most of the watercooling gear though, I'm just upgrading a lot of it) 128Gb SSD's - try again?
  19. case = thermaltake armor + PSU = 1000watt corsair CPU = i7 920 ram = 6GB Dominator 1600 2 HDD's = Falcon G Skill2 (SSD's) vid card = EVGA GTX295 Co-Op mobo = EVGA X58 water cooling gear = blocks for cpu, mobo and vid card... pump, radiator etc plenty good and plenty of room for later upgrades The only thing there that isn't basically the best of the best is the CPU (overclock ftw) and the Mobo... but I don't feel like spending $700 on 4 way SLI that I'll never use.
  20. Oh I see Ash... it's ok to dropped tens, maybe even hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars but when someone drops a small amount on a computer, it's crazy?
  21. Photoshop CS4 uses GPU acceleration. As do the other programs you mentioned, but they don't don't lean as heavily on it as games do. A faster processor will see you with more gains if you're not gaming... I also came to the realisation that I have a shitty old computer and dropped over 4k on new parts just yesterday including: case PSU CPU ram 2 HDD's vid card mobo water cooling gear It's in my room too and my current one runs hot and is bloody noisy so I went with the water cooling for peaceful sleep.
  22. erm... no I play this instead of playing with the missus and regarding the co-operative mario playing one post up, I've thrown the missus off a cliff to her doom a few times cause she pissed me off
  23. The reason you haven't heard of the R33 2500R GT-X 1 is cause it doesn't technically exist. The block was stamped and the idea was in Nissan's head but it never eventuated into anything. What you see there is the owners interpretation of what MIGHT have happened. In the end, it's just an R33 GTS-t with a stamped block. So the story goes... I still think he did a good job and having seen this car, it's very high quality and pretty damn quick! I've never seen a skyline so looked after. It's hermetically sealed for very long periods of time. The K's on it must be absolutely miniscule (I'll check at the show if you like). There's a bit of an uproar about it though as to the true story behind it. Some say the owner wasn't being very forward about what the car was. This all happened before my time though so I can't comment.
