  1. That's definately interesting! What does the intake side look like? Do you still run an intercooler?
  2. That's some pretty epic twin turbonation!
  3. Definately a great thread... I wish people would stop replying in it My question about the compression test is probably still my favourite bit... if there were truly only 2 combustion chambers, then you would only have to turn the E shaft 360 degrees to do a complete compression test on the engine... "If you were to do a compression test on a rotary, how many degrees would you turn the E shaft? If it's only got 2 ignition chambers it should only need 360 degrees yeah? That's 1 cycle yeah?? Cause a compression test only requires one cycle of the engine, any more and you're repeating yourself... and we all hate that right? " but whatever, I'm not arguing this anymore, both views are right, and motorsport plots them at about 2.6 which is fair. I can only imagine the discussion they had about this... I class them as a 3.9L wankel cycle, nothing more, nothing less...
  4. Yes you can, but that means you won't be paying the members entry price I suggest you pay for entry and membership NOW and pay for the license on the day... this frees up a bit of time for us and you to get sign on in the morning done quickly...
  5. Yes people share cars all the time. He has to pay another entry fee though, and just put your car down as the vehicle. The car will be marked with 2 numbers and will do twice as many runs as other cars there... alot of people do it actually!
  6. Yeah... Auto Salon is only like 50% rice these days... It's not everyday you get to see cars to back to back 1000rwkw runs...
  7. There was a speed boat with a 2JZ and a big single on it at Auto Salon Final Battle last year... it looked a wee bit safer then that...
  8. If you've taken out the top din (there are 3 din pockets) I don't think that has any standard mounting as that SHOULD be where the aircon sits... The lower two din pockets have the supports you need... as for depth, I've got a slide out motorized 7 inch screen fitted to mine, it's heaps long and fit with very little troubles... there are a lot of cables at the back and I had to keep them tidy to make it easy to get in and out... fits fine. That's in the middle slot. There
  9. Well they all have the ability to build any car they want, and probably have the funding to not only back it up, but race it as well... You have such a boner for JEM
  10. My missus asked me to get one up for her today as well but I was all cbf...
  11. I have to admit, it IS NYE (actually, it's aft (for us nautical inspired peeps)) but the R35 has been playing on my mind for some time... While I am happy to admit that I do not earn the coin that sums up to an R35, my very sly self can admit that there is only a few years between what I'm earning now and what will enable me to live a most prosperous life... To say I have my life sorted is probably an understatment (but we all know how that can change VERY quickly) So I HAVE been thinking about a supercar of some sort for myself... this of course comes after the house and probably 2.2 children or whatever I have to cut them into... my first choice, for many MANY years, far before the R35 was even gracing sci-fi pages with its artwork, was a Lotus... it started with the Elise, but was soon destroyed by the Supercharged Exige... but getting into that damn thing was fking annoying! It's a great sports car, but unless I'm driving to the track, my fat ass would never forgive me! I would more then likely find excuses to NOT drive the vehicle then the opposite... I'm not really sure I'm a fan of GTRs exactly, I've never owned one and to be honest, I don't plan on it. They aren't great for drifting or motorkhanas, which are, to me, the most fun you can have in a vehicle... While I've been toying with a new R32 GTR daily lately, I'm really not sure where it would end... the missus is (as we're all WAY too familiar with) the last word on all our decisions... a 33 drift car, 32 daily and 35 weekender... IF I could afford such a life, it STILL sounds like I should be admitted to some kind of hospital Whatever the new year holds, if it happend to hold an R35 then I certainly wouldn't be frowning In the end, I AM a fan of super cars, and if I could afford even the cheapest one, I probably wouldn't have a problem with it!
  12. I was having glitches too, every ten mins or so, like clockwork! It seems to be better now and yeah, that is an old series... saw it like 3 houses ago I think I even made a thread about it! I wish there were shows like that in this country Time attack: Godzilla Motorsport vs Croydon vs JEM
  13. I thought you were off the sauce paul?
  14. sounds like assface on standard turbo... only goodness is with external gate!
  15. Lookin good slimothy! I know where that photo was taken! Even though I haven't been there for ages
  16. It might be worth it to get some 33 GTR rims... that would cover any problems with law and still be pretty decent rims
  17. Yeah I thought it was most pecurliar that they went back to where they were... I've never seen that either. I'm assuming the settings and preferances were still there on the computer, but were over-ridden by a windows 7 update or some crap... It's just nice that they icon placement is a preferance!
  18. Finished Borderlands, not much to do now except restart with a different character... Got Dragon Age:Warriors... is ok, not really my kind of game but I'm getting more into it every time I play it
  19. Your car is made by ATI? That explains why it's shit Well I just looked for an update, and it was the same file I downloaded when I first built the computer, so I just re-installed it and now it works... Not too happy with Windows 7 taking the initiative there... Setup was easy though, once the drivers were re-installed, everything went back to normall, even the placement of the icons on the desktop!
  20. I nearly used my 6Gb once... when I was gaming/photoshopping/producing/internet exploring/firefoxing all at the same time...
  21. 7 decided to bin my video card drivers and boot up in 800x600 this morning Kind of shit when you're normally in 1920x1080 with a second screen I now have to setup all over again... My cpu that normally idles at 1 or 2 percent is beaing raped by all the aero shit it's being made to do... It's fluxuating anywhere between 50 and 80% on all 4 cores!
  22. I only had a few small problems but pretty sure that was me not getting video drivers right and trying to get the second screen going... it kept making the second screen the primary one every time I plugged it in... was easy sorted. Other then that, Ram hasn't really gone past 60% no matter what I'm doing... There are some wicked gadgets on my desktop helping me to keep an eye on everything I'm probably more impressed at my new hardware then the OS though
  23. yeah I would have guessed that... I've had the battery terminals drop off the batery a few times (the negative) and nothing went wrong, besides a quick drop in voltage whenever I turned the lights on... But my alternator is in pretty good nick, I have no plans of needing to change it anytime soon... The positive terminal hasn't come off since I put the new battery in there about 2 years ago...
  24. well unless he has wired the wideband backwards or some crap, it's definately going lean... It is a tough one! Maybe there's a small block in one of the injectors? Or the pump isn't getting enough voltage or something? Other then that... I was thinking a stuck throttle body but that wouldn't lean it out...
  25. dat video be private...
