Hi Gav, i have a set of 4 BBS race rims in 18 x 9 or 18 x 8 i think. (They used to be on Ken's Black GTR that i now own) Bridgestone 255 all around just setting in the back of the 4x4 at the moment if your interested. i figure you are going to want to fit semi's but feel free to use the tires on it if you want. 2 are ok, 2 are nearly semi slick anyway. These will become my track day wheels once my car is finished. Unfortunately i'm in Africa at the moment but if your interested get back to me and i'll tee something up with a mate to organise. email me on [email protected] for fastest response. Cheers Paul

Kinetic Suspension Technology
Public Enemy replied to scathing's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i seen these guys at a 4wd show about 15 years ago. suspension they had for 4wd's was awesome. from memory that was running on air. -
+1 for O2 sensor. my gtr has a problem were both O2 sensors are reading 0.00. Car stalls and runs like crap. think mine has a problem in the wiring harness somewhere as both senors go down at the same time and it comes and goes.

forgot to mention child support kills ya. if your married or have GF forget FIFO or work away for extended periods. i been FIFO for about 10 years. I got kids to 2 women and child support kills me as i no longer live with either of them. 35 years old and i live with mum and dad. thats the main reason i still work overseas, they drive me nucking futs as i'm sure i do them. but at least i got somewhere to leave my 2 cars and 2 motor bikes lol.

experience, qualifications don't mean dik. tell them your a kiwi and fake an accent. (say sex instead of 6 allot) and you're in. sux to be aussie in australia, thats why i left. did you know Kalgoorlie is the capital of NZ? btw the reason they pay 100k a year is because rent is 50k a year. come work in Ghana on a mine, i'm here 3 months at a time, home for 1 month. i pay for cigs and booze. rest is free. i pay bugger all tax. basically all the money i earn here goes to nengun and greenline.

i for one am a bit tried of the busted ass, worn out excuse that it's the governments fault there are hoons. (not that i'm a fan of the government mind you). how does not having free performance driving courses or not having a legal place to hoon, have anything to do with people hooning on public roads? if anything if would only incourage it. "i've done a high performance course so now i know everything so i'm going hoon on the streets" or " i've had plenty of practice hooning on the skid pan so now i know everything so i'm going to hoon on the streets." Whether the police wanna admit it or not, hooning has been around since the days of the Model T ford, probably even the horse and cart it's nothing new, and i'm just as many ppl got done for this type of behaviour 10 years ago as this year. The media is just making a big this about cause ppl are bored with hearing about home many ppl die in Irag every day. Some people for a rush do drugs, jump out of planes, bungee jump, whatever. Some people hoon. Not saying it's right or that i do it, but it's just part of being a human being. Even animals do sh1t they shouldn't do to get a rush. Blaming it on not having somewhere to hoon or lack of training is a lame excuse. It's all about personal attitude. We all have a choice whether to hoon or not. It has nothing to do what sort of car we drive, how well we are trained or lack of facilities. It's in the damn DNA. Am I supposed to believe the best drivers in Australia have never hooned public roads? Brock, Skaife, Richards, Lowdnes are the best, and they get to hoon legally every weekend. They don't hoon on the roads? I know for a fact one of them has before. we need to stop blaming everyone else and start taking responsibility for our own actions. If i ever get caught hooning and have my car taken away i got no to blame but my self. I do agreed a skid pan or the like would be worth while, but it would have to be open and manned / supervised 24/7. This might have some effect on reducing hooning.

How do you think this would perform? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RB26DETT-Ex...119156446QQrdZ1

A better excuse would have been "I just watched Tokyo Drift and thought police cars where factory tuned to 180kph, so if your doing more than that the cops don't even bother chasing you" What a the sphincter of the universe

i got a HKS 6 speed dog box. unfortuately i havent fitted yet so i can't give you any personal experience but the guy a brought it of gave me a few pointers. 1. you will have to be aggressive and forceful with it. 2. it is noisy and crunches 3. rev / speed matching helps alot. he spent alot of time watching the tach and speedo when changing 4. if you miss getting a gear you will most likely have to come to a complete stop and start again from first. (not sure why that would be the case) 5. reverse is very fragile. ensure the car is not rolling forward when selecting. If you rolling forward it will go into reverse and even if your just moving forward when you pop the clutch it will break reverse. I would suggest if you have to park on a slop you park so that you can drive out rather than back out. On another subject, does anyone know if you can flat change a dog box? I'm going to be running a Bee R style rev limiter for drags which is supposed to enable flat shifting, is this still possible with a dog box. cheers

nice car dude, colour and wheels are real nice. did you say carbon boot lid? where were you able to source that?

mate, hire a hit man to bump the olds off. inherit the house and refinance to buy GTR and pay for hitman. easy. then you can have your cake and eat it. if your not squeamish you could even do it yourself and save a few bucks. Of course if you do this then yes, you are definately crazy. if they own the house, borrow against it to buy the car. banks can't give away enough money at the moment. but the smart thing to do would be to work hard and save for at least half of it. just remember the purchase price of a GTR is just the beginning. do date i could have brought another 2 GTR's with what i've spent on modding my 1 GTR

good poll mate. good to see a most ppl are using there car. i work with alot of people from other parts of the world (won't single anyone out) but they're a bunch of pansies if you ask me. We are Aussies, we should be able to ride around our great country bare back on a horse. No AC, no cup holders and no heated seats. If you can't put up with an uncomfortable seat, hard ride, loud exhaust and fumes then harden up, move to the USA or buy a caprice. Geez even my 60 year old dad loves coming crusing. i work overseas for 3 to 5 months at a time, during which i rarely drive. I miss my GTR. When i get home i do at least 4 or 5, 12 hour days and at least 2 hours every other day just driving around with no destination in mind. just driving around cause it's fun. i've clocked up 5000kms in the month i get off the last too times i've been home. My comany car if a POS hilux. Hmm hilux or GTR which one would i prefer. so to answer your question, yes i'd drive my GTR anywhere provided they was a good fuel supply along the way.
