  1. anyone know were i can buy hair extensions and fake boobies? I've actually thought about joining the police force for the sole purpose of avoiding yellow stickers. Perhaps dressing up as a chick before going for a cruise would be easier.
  2. forget about racing the green light on you first night, just focus on getting a good launch away even if it's a second or 2 after the green.
  3. yeah belts i got greddy light weight pulleys and the squeal like a pig. have tried washing detergent and belt grip with not much success. Might give the WD40 a go thou.
  4. SOR Bedfordale Twisties in my neighbourhood Road surface generally poor thou Oh and Kangaroo's all over the roads too.
  5. new looms can be brought from Nissan, i replaced all of mine but they're not exactly cheap. Around 3k to do the lot. The Power FC will give you knock warning, thats reason enough to use it over the microtech. This would be even more important up in Darwin, with the high humid air temps your intake temps are gonna be higher and your intercooler less effective. Also you may be more prone to bad batches of fuel considering the distances it has to travel and perhaps a lesser turn over of supplies. If you get a bad batch of fuel the power FC will tell you soon enough with knock warning flashes on the dash and knock levels accessable through the hand controller.
  6. Rammstein - Du Hast. perfect song for GTR drivers. Translation - Do Hate. do do hate do hate me do do hate do hate me
  7. Dude you're awesome. Do you think there is potenial for Aftermarket ECU's becoming legal if used in an E85 application? Do you think a 600hp GTR could now be engineered as legal if it could pass emission tests on E85? We can't get E85 in WA yet but i'd give it a shot when we do. I've modified my car to a point where i can enjoy driving on the street for fear of being defected. I'd either have to drop the old setup back in or B class rego it. Neither i want to do. But i'd be keen to get the car engineered if i knew i could pass the emissions test, that has to be the biggest hurdle to engineering high mount turbo's etc. Congrats on the good work, well done.
  8. retainers were silver. Was an expensive mistake. Live and learn i guess. Anyway sorry for the of topic.
  9. yeah i shoulda run the Tomei buckets, i did think about it. Didn't think i'd need them with only 10.8mm of lift. How come JUN don't make suitable buckets anyway? I did run JUN Titanium retainers but don't know if they were offset of not. I brought a kit, cams, retainers and springs. One would think the retainers were suitable for the spec of the cam shafts.
  10. Guys, don't use JUN cams. I don't know if there is some secret to getting them set up properly but they destroyed my 7k head. The small base circle on JUN cams makes for tall shims and they pop out of the buckets. This happened to me with only 550rwhp, 1.2 bar, 8000rpm and 3000kms. Really did waste a beautifully ported and polished head (lifters cracked and got out of round damaging the cast). Another one on the build at the moment with Tomei cams, lifters and the rest of the fruit. Paul, once this is out of the way will be looking to get that NPC clutch for the box i brought off ya. Cheers
  11. Just ordered the Bell works quick release and locking system and the forced ignition immobiliser system. Any advice for who should install the forced Ignition in Perth? Cheers
  12. +1 for Competition and Industrial coatings in Kelmscott. Ceramic coated my piston crowns, turbo exhaust housings, Manifold and dump pipe. Also got the Moly coating on the piston skirts.
  13. Thanks John. Unquie1, 8000 is a safe limit for the moment. Not sure what Tomei rate there stroker kits for but i doubt i'll go past 8500 anyway. It is a little slow getting the boost up and you make a good point about the ex housing. When the turb came back from ceramic coating the 1.00 was fitted. It was supposed to have been changed to the 0.81 before going on the engine. I will have to check that when i get back to Perth. Only got to drive it a couple of times before i got shipped out bush again What cams are you using Brad? Pretty happy so far. the old motor with 380 at the wheels was the most powerful car i'd ever been in. Now with 540 it certainly brings a smile to face. The noise that comes out of it is insane lol. cheers Paul
  14. some more tuning has been done and the rev limit increased to 8000. Making 544 hp with 17psi and 16 degrees of timing. should get interesting with more boost and a play with the cam timing.
  15. yeap so far so good. quite surprised to see over 400 kms out of a tank of fuel with it running quite rich, 880cc injectors, big cams and no closed loop. Needs more power thou, hehe. nice work Blitzxtr, get a dyno sheet up for us to have a look at if you don't mind. Have been keen to see how your build has gone. Unique1, cheers mate. All the best with your's as well. I'll have my fingers crossed for your bottom end lol. SLY33, idle is a bit high at the moment but it does sound mean. I dread ever having to pull up along side a highway patrol vehicle. Certainly wouldn't use cams bigger than 272/11 for a street driven vehicle, even these are probably a little to big.
  16. Engine is tuned to 4000 rpm while i run in the engine. Once i get a 1000 kms up will be in for more tuning. Hopefully next week sometime, depends on work. Making around 10 psi at 4000rpm with no cam tuning so kinda looking promising. Off boost drivablity "feels" improved over the old set up and although this turbo is a later coming on boost compared to the stock turbed RB26 (380whp) i was running, the torque curves overlayed are almost identical to 4000rpm. The damn thing is loud and sounds pretty cranky too. I purchased the complete HKS T04Z kit through Greenline, awesome gear, highly recommend it on looks alone.
  17. i bet they did f**k all about your car being broken into. Wish they'd actually do some real police work and target criminals rather than car enthusiasts.
  18. Hi All, anyone on here work for Shannons insurance? I pick up my car today with lots of new mods. Would prefer to talk to someone that knows Skylines when i update my insurance. Cheers Paul
  19. Remove ABS altogether. I run my R32 with none
