Times, I don't beer talk I have an in car timer, no hand timing or car in front telling me and car behind tells me, and I looked faster so.... blab la bla. As I said when the rubber meets it then it all stops. By the way I have not told anyone this yet but I have snuck out recently to Oran Park GP and have done lots of practice and set up changes, and on old tyres and windy day I did a 1 min 14.4. To prove this I had semi independent witnesses, my wife and kids were there and can vouch for me, even the mother in law and a mate, I might add it was in a V8 Supercar on Play Station. Hey if it rains even though zeds like lots of water I think Nathan Superlap should double the handicap for no front diff. Re catagories and rules etc who cares. Hey what, isn't that what racing is all about otherwise no goal posts it is just another trackday. Sounds like a cop out. What trophies for the car that looks the fastest and looks the go, or the most Unique Zed??? Yes will have a big time anyway and I say Beer Baron should do some research on a watering hole and run the social event afterwards?? Or has Superlap have something in mind, I don’t want to upset things.

To get an idea and put in perspective re times, see below some times of some times of Oran GP of SPorts sedans and others. The Sports Sedans times vary a lot, the quickest ones 1 min 12, and very some very serious cars, tube frame, big wheels with slicks, fibrerglass bodies and massive aero and engines sitting next to them with big power and very light. I would assume conditions were not wet with these times. Sports Sedans Production Sports Cars which are fairly modified and run slicks I believe. Hey big bones I know you can drive and was that the Silvia with 3 litre engine and positive camber in front end and three wheel studs on one of two wheels? Have a go fatz no puss that's for sure. DiRTgarage over cooked that one. It is all bla bla until the rubber meets the road, and not a straight line so takes some skill and lots more to it. Not just power but delivery of power, brakes, cooling of brakes and drive train and engine, suspension and can be lots in this to go fast and throw in aero. Anyone can go in a straight line and don't under estimate a Z. Keep an eye on your mirrors for the SLOT CAR. PS It will be good to have you out there with us. Fatz you need stronger springs on drivers side. Re the rules and things maybe there should be a Bitsa class. Maybe booked out with cars that fit into catagories no problems. Hard line in pleasing everyone I don't envy you guys running it. There certainly is lots of talk and let's see who actually does. Roy got a goal post now, start leaning up. I say bring on handicap system like Zeds for no front diff, 2 to 3 seconds. This thing is going on.

I might get the zed registered and put street tyres on it. Has full trim less back seat for roll cage, alloy fuel tank might knock me out although could not find mention of this in da rules?

benm everyone knows you are the motorsport fan of all times and will probably be the first there and last to leave, with the biggest smile on his face. This will be by far the biggest event in Australia for Jap imports of all time.

Roy good point about handing over your keys, ok for open class as I dont have a key just a button to start and button to go for the straights. I say bring on the sallary cap. With the road class big power might be a problem even for gtr's as slippery slippery, wheel spin. Bigger tyre the better for road class.

Shirts are the go to help promote the event. If made long sleave like other companies have done in the past, with signage and sponsors. Then competitors not owning or wearing race suit can have opiton of wearing the SUPERLAP shirt, made out of cotton obviously. The drifter guys had a shirt like this made up I think and I have one form a track day way back with sponsors etc. Bozzo could have a 1 to 2 second handicap, all good. Messy and only joking. He is very good though and makes me look silly.

Hey Bozman good to see you on here yappin it up with the guys. I was going to see if you were available but see you are snapped up already? I last did GP circuit a few years back and my car is much better now, and best then was 1 min 18.0 with me driving. I think 1 15 would be nice and with good conditions and more improvements to the car we have planned I would think a second or so better and if Bozzo driving another sec or two. I am sure with the calibre of cars coming and over time improve with sets ups etc who knows 1 min 10 is possible takes some dollars too. But that is flopping flying and Bozzo knows more than any of us here re this subject. See what happens when the rubber meets it. Hey Bozzo has that Lotus had many changes, as seems a lot faster in comparision to Wakey or maybe more suited to Oran? Waht is your best at Wakey as thought is was 1 min 5 something?

Hey Baron you in for this? Front row street class having a go. I just checked Oran Park site and they actually have practice days list for GP. Tuesday April 1st, not far away and earlier than I would like but no other dates although sometimes they have days not on their site. Practice Days

You OS drinking beer again? Where are you and how long? You would definitely win the RB20 class. I am confident it will be a well run professional event. It will be a relatively new event and can only get better, and it is what we all make of it and promote and get behind it.

Roy going around in circles is far from new, but this form of racing in this format and event is new. It appeals to many as not many want the big jump to go to the next level bumping guards in improved production or similar racing It also takes a lot of commitment and money, then there are Super sprints which are ok but too many cars and no trophies or prize money or spectators and the main thing is any bob with any car can enter. Then there is drifting which is not for everyone and drags and well, not much of a challenge. This event has similarities to other forms of motorsport with instant result and knock outs similar to drag and drift. It should make a great spectators sport with some serious road and track cars mainly Japanese.

Far out what a huge thread already and so much interest is great. So much competition is great also. I think I will get a front diff in my car. Is that even aloud Superlap guru Nathan?? Might do that when I get my roof mount intercooler and sick chromies. Seriously though this is going to be huge and overdue. Mark my words it will quickly become the fastest growing form of motorsport in Australia if not the world.

Yes Cerbera zeds don't rev quite as high although mine revs to 8500 compared to a built GTR prob 9500, peak power that day with mine that day and more revs was 438rwkw, although with stock rods and they bent. Cheap motor with mostly OEM stock parts apart from pistons, since used Scat rods and all good.

Very flash Ben, or rather impressivie as I know you are not a flashy guy. Awesome dyno graph also. Starting to look like a 300zx dyno graph although mine was on race fuel so not same. lol Waiting.......... Extra bit of engine capacity and stoke gives a lot more down low. Below is my Z dyno graph on the rleft compared to two RB26 GTR's with the middle one with HKS GTRS turbo's and the one far right with lag for sale is T88.

I will be heading up Group 6. Group 6 is Sydney Siders waiting for your guys for Eastern Creek. I just spoke with Jason or GTR Jason who is bringing out his monster R32 GTR so will have a good battle with him and the Slot Car. I also spoke to Jason, Editor of HPI just now, re coming out to do pics and Video of the day.

Hey Russ you certainly got my attention and it seems many many others in the Jap import car world. Now I have to spend more time and mondey to get near your times. Awesome time for Semi slicks and with good slicks you would take at least a second off that, so right up there and still no aero on the car and other things you can do. You sure that trasponder was not moved to help your times???. He he. Now go do it in Japan and fly the Aussie flag. Tough competition over there not just a zed boat to beat, some serious cars. Will be interesting.
