  1. dezz, I think u were next in line - want to pop round to my place?
  2. No you couldn't Michael - I was out this evening. Pat, you have a PM.
  3. I have a 4-day general admission pass to the Grand Prix. First in, best dressed. (If you want it for tomorrow, then you will need to come out west to Werribee. Otherwise, you can meet me at the GP Saturday morning.)
  4. Lack of power can be attributed to the cams being "off" (generally retarded). "Check engine" suggests maybe a collapsed / collapsing catalytic converter.
  5. You have probably flooded the engine. Remove the spark plugs and dry them (they are probably soaked in raw petrol). Also, the problem with swapping out the CAS is that you need the engine running to set it correctly. Try adjusting the CAS as you crank the engine. Also, try starting the engine with WOT - lets in lots of air to mix with the flooding fuel.
  6. That's not a McPherson strut, it's a double wishbone, same as all the later Skylines.
  7. And who forgot to fit the lower shock absorber mount and fit the retaining bolt?
  8. The only timing you need to be concerned about is base timing at idle. In general, the ECU expects the engine to idle with timing around 15BTDC. It assumes that this is set correctly, and all other timing is based on base idle timing being correct. As for the dodgy fuel, if you filled up shortly after they received a delivery, then you might have got some crap that was stirred up during the tanker filling the underground tank.
  9. Does the PFC have "post-start enrichment"?
  10. If the temp gauge goes straight to max, then it's likely you have a dead short to earth on that circuit. I suspect the engine won't fire because the 750cc injectors are flooding the engine. You need to give the Microtech a basic map first. In the meantime, try starting the engine with WOT.
  11. 32s don't have spark leads. Do a search, as the subject of suitable spark plugs has been done to death. Or you could simply remove one of your plugs and look at the markings on it.
  12. The engine was a C34, I believe (I did the conversion in 2004). I was told - after the fact - that I could have used a GT-R PnP from Wolf ECU.
  13. When I fitted a Stagea engine to my R32 GTS4, I also added a Wolf ECU (wired in, not PnP). Then, when the engine fired up - "Houston, we have a problem" - no AWD. The ATTESSA ECU gets a TPS signal via the ECU. Solution was a "black box" add-on from Wolf. I suspect if you get a PnP ECU, then you shouldn't have problems with ATTESSA.
  14. "clamp does NOT seem to fit" ??????? I think you need to get new bushes to suit the bar. The bar is easiest to fit when both sides suspension are the same, namely loaded or unloaded. It is really difficult if you jack one side only.
  15. Bilstein and Koni are the best. KYB is next. Pedders and Munroe are pretty much a waste of time. You can get Bilsteins locally, probably a lot cheaper than above. They come with a couple of grooves and circlips so you can set the ride height. Any decent suspension place should be able to get any of the Bilstein / Koni / KYB units for you.
  16. Yes, R33 had a AWD variant, although the engine is only N/A. The other box you might want to consider is from a Stagea, which has the RB25DET engine.
  17. When I said: I meant it could be the ABS actually working. Generally, most other "problems" mentioned in previous posts cause a vibration up through the steering column. ABS generates a pulsation through the brake pedal as the unit continuously applies / releases the brake pressure.
  18. Sorry Tony, but you are wrong. The club may be governed by its constitution, but that constitution is governed by the Incorporations Act, which has recently been amended. As an executive committee member, this is something you need to be aware of. The Incorporations Act contains what are termed "model rules", and it is these that are generally used to form the constitution of incorporated bodies, like SAU-Vic. If you have already had an AGM, then that is the time you should have elected a new committee. Because the Incorporations Act 2012 has changed the "model rules", many incorporated bodies are calling Extraordinary General meetings to pass a resolution to the effect that their constitution be changed in line with the revised model rules. As an executive member of the committee, I suggest you familiarise yourself with the rules that govern the operation of incorporated bodies. The club's constitution doesn't need re-writing, it just needs to be adhered to. Unfortunately, I can't stand for committee, as I am not a financial member of SAU-Vic. (FWIW, I have some 20 years experience in serving on the committees of various incorporated bodies)
  19. Other way round - rears are the same as GT-R. It appears that all models have the same style fronts. I found if you ask for GT-R suspension components, you get the right stuff for the GTS4 (at least in R32s).
  20. "The Annual General meeting (AGM) is an important event for every organisation. It gives its members, the general public and the committee a broad overview of the organisation's current directions and financial health and confirms its purpose. It is also the time to revitalise the organisation through the official engagement of members into key elected positions." An Extraordinary General Meeting is called at times other than an AGM, usually in response to a crisis occurring in the running of the organisation. Feb 20 is surely the AGM, as dictated by the rules of incorporation.
  21. So when exactly is / was this? And isn't it the AGM (Annual General Meeting)? An EGM is an Extraordinary General Meeting.
  22. 1. Had a reducing pipe joiner manufactured. 2. Didn't have a problem. 3. No 4. Depends which ECU you are using.
  23. Have you checked power steering fluid?
  24. Standard heat range is 6. You would want at least a 7, maybe even an 8.
