This is correct. However a good thing to check is that the infrigement you receive in the post has the correct details on it, Car, time, location of offence etc. Sometimes when batch writing these offences the cops makes mistakes, these mistakes can get you off if you take it to court.

Firstly - to the guy with the S2 33 - nice car.. ... I think the reason why skyline or other import drivers stay away is the sheer stupidity of the v8 meathead crowd. The other reason I think it's not worth entering is that cruising is a joke. If anyone else here has been an entrant you'll know exactly how much of a joke cruising is and how stupid saying that in their tv add was. For those that havent - heres a rundown you go flat out down the straight to the first corner, slow to 5 k's cos the traffic is banked up infront of you, crawl through the next few corners to the nack straight, flat out for 10 secs then back to a crawl. A lap at "cruising" speeds takes 8-10 minutes. You could probably get around faster on a pushbike... although the officials would still tell ya off if you popped a mono down the back straight... Burnouts, well watching them it's easy to spot the guys that go to shows and do a lot of burnouts and the ones that just practise in the kmart carpark. And finally, if you have ever had to deal with Jon Davison and getting "different" cars entered, scutineered, you'll know he knows as much about his own event as britney spears does about singing. but thats just my 2c...

A r33 gtr strut brace doesnt fit on a r33 gtst. It hits the cross pipe and the top of the inlet manifold. To make it fit you would have to put on a forward facing plenum gtr style.

The other thing to consider is your amp and its control at different ohm loadings. Most Amps are made for 4 ohm loads, by loading them up to 2 ohm or more the amp effectively works harder and produces more power. But, that power is less controlled and the sound quality can suffer. If you want two subs, you'd be better off getting 1 amp per sub. Just remember the basics when buying an amp. What RMS is the SUB? Your amp should at least be this + 20% What impedence (ohm) is the sub Your amp should be able to hold this load and not suffer increased distortion.

The other thing to consider is that remote start alarms jsut make the car easier to steal . Thief finds remote start module, triggers it and car starts.. No need for hot wiring. It would be like having a guard dog with no teeth.

lol.. if your going to get a good quality alarm, dont get it put in on the cheap, pay extra and get it done properly. An alarm is only as good as the installer that fits it.

I have a 1996 r33 series 2. Until today it has driven no probs. Tonight whilst driving the factory tacho in the cluster started to jump around. At a constand 100k's on the freeway i the tacho would show anywhere from 3000 to 9000 rpm. The actual engine revs did not change. Car has Stock ecu, injectors etc Boost controller 3.5" exhaust r34 gtt smic so it is a mild car. All mods have been on for a while and no work has been done lately on the car to cause this. So, any idea's? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

firstly, i dont think it's worth 10k at all. in my other post i stated these used to retail brand new for arounf $2500. $10000 is ridiculous for this amp. The main reason why people would have bought this amp is that is massively under rated. at 4 ohm it is 25rms x 4. At 1 ohm lets say 125rms x 4. Back in the old days people used to buy amps with a small power rating that would load up, this was done for SQ competitions where you had to fit into a power class. Power classes were determined on the rated rms power at 4 ohms. But if you could have an amp where if you wired it up a certain way you got more power then you had the advantage. At one stage soundstream produced an amp that was 2 x .5wrms. Yep half a watt per channel at 4 ohm. But, load it to 1/4 ohm and it would run about 600 rms. Sure the amps got hot, sure it shortened their life. But it also made some tech head wankers able to say there car was less than 3 watts rms and could produce 150 db+. Buy todays standards of D-class amps this is out dated. If anyone was to buy it they would only get it because it is old skool soundstream, not the new stuff that is crap.

These used to retail at about $2500. It is one of the old soundstream amps, made in the usa. These are the s**t. Not like the new chineese soundstream ones that are totally crap.

Correct Wrong. the modification must be legal. If the remote start is found to be the cause of a claim you will not have insurance. Yes, we prefer to have cars that are not easy to steal. You still got ripped. Gary is the business mind, Rod the technical one. Obviously you are not in the industry and dont know the people. Correct again. It is up to us to have cars with correctly installed security devices rather than have something that will be easy to steal.

Remote start is illegal and not able to be covered by insurance. Plus it makes the car heaps easier for the thieves to take. ie - find the remote start relays, trigger them, car startes, no hotwiring, it's already done. As for Gary's Keilor. They are the same as the other gary's - CRAP. Ever since Gary's brother Rod left and took gary's best installers they have been struggling. As for mates rates, at $650.00 they made about $450.00 profit off that sale. you got ripped.

Years ago i worked for a place that sold audio. We got in these amps from china. Not the exact same ones as this ebay listing, but very similar. Took the back off one and it had a small circuit approx 10cm x 10cm mounted in the centre of the amp, LEAD weights either side of it and cable running from the circuit board to the connectors on each end of the amp. The amp was about 60cm long, chrome, blue leds and a VU meter in it. They were total crap. This amp is total crap. Unfortunately it is product like this that is killing off the real audio industry. I wonder if this amp would actually run a pair of the craptactular 1000w 6x9's for $3.78 also from ebay...
