  1. SOLD
  2. Im after two for an rb25det out of an r33
  3. If you end up getting a respray a nice midnight purple pearl would look good, a lot of the time the midnight purple color looks like a pearl anyway.
  4. A mate had an r31 skyline that had dose, in the two years he had it he had to rebuild the turbo once because the thrust bearing wore out (in and out shaft play) was on its way out when he got rid of it as well.
  5. its a bit sad that jjr have not posted some help in here, there are plenty of people that have posted the same problems with the same product, reminds me of a similar thread on there return piping intercooler kit, every one left to find there own solutions.
  6. The turbo i now have was having this problem, was coming onto boost way to quick, my turbo was back cut so the boost would come on later and stop this happening, here is a link the thread which has all the r&d in it and some usefull info for you http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/35...-9b-t22706.html easiest way to fix it is to either back cut your exhaust wheel or get a good boost controller that you can set up so boost is limited at certain rpm's, mine hits 14psi at about 4300rpm.
  7. It only takes one, and those granny scooters dont have to slow down for the speed humps around my area lol
  8. Within a few streets of me i have a primary school and a church, i think i would get lynched if i put pedo bear on my car.
  9. That worked, once i knew about the other screen and F5 i did it the old way again to see if it worked the same (just put in R33 at the start) and found 2 different part numbers that matched what i wanted, the second one was also for an rb20de, i wonder if its the same part.
  10. Can someone tell me if the bit in blue is the part number, if not how do i get the part number from that?
  11. you will probably have to pull the comp cover off and measure the front wheel, will give you a bit more info. Can definately say its not an rb25 turbo as rb25 turbo's have an extra bolt on piece for the exit, also there is no wastegate feed from the comp cover as it comes off the intake pipe, also the exhaust wheel and wastegate has a divider between them.
  12. Thats all i want, something small and simple that shows other forumers that you are on here.
  13. try here http://www.mobileelectronics.com.au/forums/index.php? purely audio forums, once you sign up you will see the vic section.
  14. I dont know if an rb25det in an r33 and an rb20det in an r32 is the same but i found it a lot easier to do lines and some other stuff if you jack up that corner, take the wheel off and do it from underneath. I have a vg30 core and exhaust housing with a hi flow rb25 front on my rb25det and it was a direct bolt on.
  15. They did my car before i bought it (probably 5+ yrs ago) there wiring behind the dash was horrible, instead of cutting off the factory plug and hard wiring the new head unit in they just modified a spade connector so it was skinnier and shoved it into the factory plug so it was just sitting there (and the ones that were hard wired were not even soldered), also instead of going to the trouble of running new speaker wires through the doors (i know its a pain in skylines but its something i would expect from someone who does quality work) they run the speaker wires all the way to the back of the head unit (didn't even bother running new speaker wires to where they enter the doors) and connected them to the factory wires, and ever since my mate first bought the car there has been a buzzing through the speakers, i have changed the head unit and the amp and the noise is still there which suggests that power wires have been run with the speaker wires or rca's, also up untill recently when the power antenna shit its self the radio had heaps of static, once i got the aerial to go down i cut the wire which was hooked upped to the remote wire and now i get a lot better reception........ If there doing summer nats quality jobs i hope they have improved since they did mine, im just a hack that does my own work but it makes me fell a lot better about the quality of my work when i see a so called "professional" job done like this.
  16. If you decide to split it (you already have ppl interested in most of it) im interested in the wastegate.
  17. My turbo also uses the vg30 core and shaft, apparently the shaft is thicker than a rb25 turbo and is safe at 15psi as opposed to the 12 of an rb25.
  18. Can some one please give me the part number for the gearbox speedo sensor from a S1 1994 r33 gtst 5 speed. Thanks.
  19. Dont be so cynical, dont you remember the first time you removed a gearbox whilst under the car and thought" it shouldnt be too heavy i'll just lye under it and let it down easy" i will never forget how quickly my lungs emptied when it fell on my chest
  20. Do you have the little 1/4 window ones?
  21. Standard ecu Standard afm Standard injectors Standard fuel pump Standard air box with k&n filter 3" exhaust with x-force hi flow cat blitz return piping fmic vg30 exhaust housing and center with rb25 comp cover bored out to fit a to4b v-trim comp wheel THREAD ON THE R&D FOR THIS TURBO 223 rwkw @14PSI
  22. Dont be scared of a locker, they are not as nasty as people make them out to be, my diff stuffed up in my old rx7 and a mate locked it, i was too scared to drive it at first (it was raining the day we welded it) because of everything they were saying about a locked diff, but once i drove it i realised its not as bad as people make them out to be, only really notice it on tight round abouts u turns and parking, even then there very manageable, and one your having fun they are very predictable, will always do the same thing at the same point. Dont know what a spool is worth but if its only $50 then its worth getting one to try it, if you dont like it put it in the for sale thread and get your money back.
  23. no will only work with an lsd, if your talking about a skyline though, i believe all are lsd in which case shimming should work. in the off chance you do have a non lsd then your cheapest option is a mini spool, or welding.
  24. I dont see any point of looking at it like that, no matter how fast you are there will always be some one faster than you, an i also forgot the first beat i had in the 33, a blown vx r8, absolutely blitzed me, but i also know that when it comes down to money spent, i have a lot to spend to catch up.
