  1. I have noticed that, maybe its my time of month No doubt the bridges are not quite as low as they say and no doubt the truck is also not quite as high either (especially if it is a rental, they probably say its higher to account for the idiot factor) but for the odd occasion that the two are right i would rather spend the 5 minutes going the long way round.
  2. Very true, mine f**ked up and i had to go back to my old nc fairlane for a month, was awesome getting back into the skyline.
  3. I will assume that you are saying that you should have checked vic roads first and your not having a go at me.
  4. Untill you get use to it and the power bug bites.
  5. im guessing it has been disconnected for a reason, best off taking to a gas place and getting them to sort it out. If your in vic and around the dandy area i can put you in contact with a guy that knows as much as there is to know about a turbo rb30 on lpg.
  6. NO 3.3 means that the bridge is 3.3 metres at its lowest point. BUT i have taken a 4.0 truck under a 4.0 bridge, its at your own risk and if it all goes wrong then it REALLY REALLY goes wrong.
  7. What exhaust housing are you using, if its still the standard housing then that would be limiting you, you will get more with the op6 rear.
  8. there is something wrong there, you are getting 274 rwkw from the standard injectors and afm??? I have 210rwkw with the injectors frequently hitting 100% duty according to the pfc hand controller and the afm is tuned to 110% and still maxing out.
  9. if you willing to post to vic i'll take it.
  10. The clip went for 64 seconds and he commented on the traffic for the last 17 seconds, i guess you must have watched a different clip. This is the second time i know of this happening in almost the same location, last time an axle broke on a truck, the tyre and axel bounced off the sound barrier and hit a sub contractor mowing the grass.
  11. Links dont work, how much for burnout paradise?
  12. Dont bother with a S2 wheel, your wheel is non airbag and the S2 has an airbag.
  13. Sold and paid for, i should have just put it on ebay to start with.
  14. Looks a lot cleaner without the territory rims. Good to see its on the road.
  15. Now on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=140354036213
  16. No If you had i would pissed of and having a go at people and making reference to them have sex with there siblings but i have not. What do you mean?
  17. couple of points on that article, did you know that the police were investigating that story?? it turns out that the producers car was also in the tunnel and between the two of them they were manipulating the flow of traffic to get the story they wanted, also if you have a look on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNTSSvOYiB0 the merc does what i see a lot of these days, he puts his indicator on to change lanes then turns it off then changes lanes (watch his wing mirror indicator). Basically the only real blind spot for a truck is on the passenger side next to the front door and a car length or so back from the front door, easy way to tell if your in there blind spot is to look in there mirrors, if you can see then they can see you, from where that merc is i dont think he saw him because he was 2 lanes across. Without some sort of workable solution truck drivers are going to be hindered by cars and cars are going to be hindered by trucks, unfortunately our government has a habit of sitting in there office and making a decision that a pen pusher that has never been a truck see's as a good solution from a car drivers point of view and is not workable for us so it wont be followed, just like the law that is in place that on a highway of more than 2 lanes trucks are not allowed to use the right hand lane, if one of the other lanes was doing 100 i would be happy to use it and often do but when you 4 lanes of traffic doing 90 becuase everyone wants there own lane im not going to sit behind them and wait. I think we all knew that would happen, even if it didnt i think you would have to piss a cop off for them to book ou for it.
  18. If you go back and read my comments you would see that its more about people making judgments or putting forward a solution on a matter of which they have very limited knowledge, the general stereo typing of truck drivers and what people think of them does not really bother me as most of the time they come from people who are ignorant dip shits who have no clue, and yes i did make another generalization.
  19. So your on the side of the government, it is your right to defend them as it is my right to defend my self, i dont think you will get many people following your support of the government. Great idea, this is where i normally sit on the monash as it avoids slower people getting on and off the freeway and still leaves the right lane open for faster traffic. So your saying get trucks off the bridge and make them take surface roads and congest those instead of holding you up for another 1 minute max on the bridge??
  20. there is one on here atm for $470 i think, with the data logit you also need a laptop to monitor anything, if your not going to tune it your self then you would be better off getting the hand contoller, will tell you what you need to know with out needing a lap top.
  21. This is the victorian government your talking about, doing things properly is not part of there agenda, besides doing it this way leaves the door open for a bit of revenue raising from people who are not aware of the changes.
  22. changed your view have you, not so long ago you were saying that making trucks use the left hand lane is the "proper solution"... I believe the start is better driver trainging in general which im sure most people would agree, the requirements to get a lisence has never been tough enough, but of course this will never happen so the car Vs truck debate will go on forever between car drivers who have never been in a truck and truck drivers who have to avoid those same people. As for bombtracks comment about this being a touchy subject, these sort of generalized comments to me is the equivalant of the TT or ACA reports labeling all import drivers as drifting hoons that endanger every one every time they get in there car. And for the record i believe that about 85% of truck drivers get a bum rap, i also would trust my life to most truck drivers and very few car drivers, if you spent as much time on the road as i do i believe you would agree, nismoid might even agreee....... maybe.....
  23. You got in one word nismoid "ignorant", which also sums up you initial comment and your view on truck drivers in general. In other countries drivers are also more courteous and educated about driving around trucks, in australia the only aim is to get in front of the truck no matter what, maybe if drivers were a little more considerate and educated, better driver training all round, then the euro model would work but since we have to spend 80% of our time driving defensively to avoid ignorant retards then its never going to happen.
