  1. Could you clarify for me what you are unhappy about - the post for the car for sale being here, or the fact that (probably due to me) it drifted off that topic? :-)
  2. mine won't be moded to start with, but I'll be happy to be shown up by yours.. Or if you want to meet before then I'll bring the R34 skyline instead.. :-)
  3. Yes, there was a r34 gt-V -> both in a manual and auto. It had the "NEO straight 6 LEV", with no turbo, and qualified as a LEV vehicle. Was also gutless ie 147kw.
  4. I believe you (!) but those numbers are different to anything I've been able to find... My understanding is that there wasn't a s1 and s2 version on the 260, there was only one version of it (ie they didn't do a r34 gtr based one)
  5. it's all right to just call it a 'wagon'.. :-) I call my 4 door R34GTX Turbo a 'sedan' or 'the family car', an my extended family all thought I was getting old and slow when I got it to replace my previous 2 door sports car... I recently looked at every wagon you could buy in Aus, from the crappy old 80's technology in the current fords and GM's, through to the magna's, 307's, outbacks, etc etc... Nothing could compete with the price/performance/handleing/safety of a stagea (at least on paper!). So I was just curious to see if the reason people are selling theirs is that it ISN'T as good in reality as it is on paper.. :-) I'll find out in a month or two when mine arrives.. :-) And AlexCim, once it has, we should have a Melbourne Stagea meet.. :-)
  6. So that means you're selling the LM1 with everything you need for about $520? Yep, keep us all informed! :-)
  7. I've partly answered my own question by using the parts thread.. For the brakes - (front, then back) WGNC34 RB25DET 25.4 CL28VF 42.8×2 280×28 AD11V 38.18 266×16 WG(N)C34 RB25DET 25.4 CLZ31VA 45.0×2 290×28 AD11VB 38.18 292×16 ie the series 2 might not have gone to the good x4 ones, but did get both bigger pads on the front, and bigger disks on the front and back...
  8. ..why do lot's of people seeem to be selling their stageas? Don't they like them anymore...? Ian
  9. Yep, I realise that which why you would need external power and a bit of electronics. But you don't need screens, memory, buttons, etc etc in these days of reasonable laptops - even my old PIII laptop can dump consult figures every 10mSec using less than 5% of it's cpu.. There is no problem doing a couple of thousand samples a second through the serial interface, let alone through the USB one... Ian
  10. I thought the LSD was an option on the RS4 stageas - and it was standard on the series 2 manuals. Apart from that, does anyone know if Brad's list above for the RS4 also applies to the series 2??? I haven't been able to find out anywhere on the web, but given they have the much better Neo motor & Turbo & Intercooler, did nissan put better axles/brakes/hubs on it as well?
  11. Thanx, I knew there would be an obvious answer.. This wide band logging ones seem to be the go, although they seem to have way too much electronics in them (ie expensive). A modern laptop can keep up with something much faster, so in theory all you would require is a sensor plus a couple of components (to make a stable voltage supply, reference voltage, and rs232 link.. etc).. Time to get hunting on the net.. :-) We really should club together in each major city and buy one, as it does sound like such a useful bit of gear.. :-)
  12. just a silly qestion which I've been meaning to ask.. I know the O2 sensor in the car is narrow band (not wide), but could you use that (via the consult interface) to do the tuning required for the DFA? - and if you need some log data, you can take me for a drive with my laptop plugged in (I'm in Melb) :-) Ian

The sort of in between one ie the M-ATx (for those that don't know the r34's that well :-), there were three configurations. MT (manual), E-ATx (full auto), and M-ATx (Manual/Auto ie full auto, plus the slide over position that can be used to move up/down a gear, plus the paddles on the steering wheel :-) ie it is a 1998 GTX Turbo 4 door - http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/21632/ I can send you the bin file if you like, PM me a real email address. :-) Ian

For example - # Variable,Start-Address,X,Y,Map size,value,Map-name HIGH_FUEL,&H1400,16,16,256,1,High octane Fuel map This means - Start address is at 0x1400 It's a 16 by 16 (decimal) grid That there are 256 (decimal) values (ie 16*16) And the default value is 1 Correct?

It's the obvouos way to go, as then you can change the values you want, or put it back to stock standard... I'll ring later today, don't think you'd like me doing it at now (12.20am.. :-)

... just after I've bought the jaycar fuel controller.. :-) I've already dumped the cars binary to have a look through it :-). Yep, I wouldn't mind being the person to try it out (assuming the address map makes sense for my car - as soon as I get it I'll compare it to my binary), I'll give you a ring once I've got it and checked. (my car is a R34 GTX turbo) Ian

Yep - I'll PM an email address to you. Ian
  19. At 17 pages long, things are getting a bit hard to find in this thread :-), no wonder I missed them...
  20. this hasn't worked for quite a while now, so I assume it's all dead...
  21. It would be interesting to see what values people are using - why don't a few post them so we can see? :-) I bought the kit today, so I'll be trying it soon as well... Ian
  22. Could you (or someone!) take some photo's of where the vertical net connects on each corner? I'm still hunting around just for the vertical net (as the stagea I've bought - that hasn't arrived yet - has already got the pull back cover..). And are they the same on a series 2? Depending on the conection, I might end up making my own...:-) Ian
  23. Looks good.. If anyone wants to see the full tech, it is at http://www.velleman.be/common/product.Aspx...lan=1&id=348271 Ian
  24. A bit shabby is an understatement.. I think the view on yellow is polarized - you either love it or hate it...
