why is it now out the window? yeh i considered it too. my main constraint is budget unfortunately my options are remap ($500) or SAFC ($600 approx once fitted and tuned) ive currently got a remapped ECU, and a HKS F-Con at the moment..

yeh i got a K&N, but a big roundish one.... its weird if i get a spare afternoon i may fit a roof! you think its worth it?

UPDATE speedworks cannot tune it either. so i have come to the conlcusion that this thing is useless now what should i do? my current management is; blitz rechipped ECU with HKS PFC F-Con piggy-backed im thinking, remove the HKS thingo and run an SAFC with the rechipped ECU. but then people are telling me that AFCs are only a 'toy' and shouldnt be used remap the remapped std ECU. people also say that this is not tuning in real-time and is therefore unreliable.... i cant afford a full replacement so options are 1)leave 2)afc and no hks piggy 3)no piggys or controllers, just remapped ECU thoughts? suggestions?

nah i dont. i didnt think it neccessary, theres cold air coming in from around the headlight. the disadvantage of running a pipe closer to the ground to duct cold air is moisture and excessive dirt from being closer to the road... put in the partition and see how it feels. if still no good, then maybe youll need an intake as well

yeh itll be because of the hot air i made a partition out of aluminium for my car, cost me a $10 (for sheet aluminium) and an afternoons work, pretty simple i havent noticed any difference with the pod on, but the filter is always cold so i guess its working...

if youre going to get an exhaust done, go to an exhaust place. thats what they specialise in!!! dont go to an overpriced 'performance tuner' i dont want to start arguments either, but thats what i think

UPDATE gary @ cypher said no good, best option is to pull it out and run an AFC alongside the blitz main ECU lane @ race torque has never heard of it, and is overseas until 24th october so no good there either

yeh i just went past speedworks on way home from uni, they said come back this arvo and someone will be able to help ya.. well as long as its cheaper than $500 (price of remap) then im happy!

i would have thought theyd make more of an effort to accomodate you, given how much trouble youd gone to just to get the car down there!!
