joel what dyno was that on?? so now with FMIC, fuel pump and more boost youre only making 12rwkw more?? does that dyno read high?! cos 200rwhp with exhaust, filter and 12psi seems a little high

im in a simliar situation T04E on HKS manifold with ex gate. FMIC, bigger pump, gtr injectors currently my management is a remapped ECU and HKS PFC F-Con. ive been considering my options with regard to management. basically YES GET IT TUNED! ive already blown the engine once hehe anywa the options are remap or run a piggyback fuel controller like a SAFC or E-Manage remap is good if you dont plan to mod further (is expensive to remap) piggy back is better if youre contiunally modding the car, however they have lmited control as they are only 'tricking' the computer. it all depends on budget. my budget is relatively small ie 6-700 if youre able to spend in the 000's then go for a full replacement ECU, but expect to spend $3000 approx for fitted and tuned.

yeh HO2 was cool, duno about the acting parts from that ketz guy. was a bit a silly... rally driving in the little civic was funny though!! the high speed trials were awesome as well. love that porsche! doesnt look like ill be getting HO3 though

blew up my internally std RB20 too much boost from the T04 and not enough fuel!! made around the 280rwhp mark i think before it blew

so heres the big question S-AFC or E-Managage?

so by paying $415 i buy a unit which will be fully wired, installed and control the same thing as the S-AFC im not bothered about the blue screen, ive got no-where to put it anyway all i want is to control the fuel map, nothing else!! how do they tune the blue box? does it hve its own interface like the SAFC or do you need software? who is the person in perth to talk to about this? (ie installing and fitting)

thats bullshit about jap exhausts being better, but if you want to spend twice as much on one, well im not going to stop you they may be VERY SLIGHTLY better constructed, but as rev said, if you can weld better than a monkey and make it out of 3" mandrel bent pipe then youre going to produce an exhaust of reasonable quality. i dont think weve done enough laps around nurburgring to start counting 1-2kw gains from using an overpriced japanese unit as opposed to a locally made exhaust.

yeh i asked about the e-manage in General Discussion area i was told that overall its too expensive... is it possible to simply buy the e-manage box (little blue thing) plug it in and pay 1-2 hours dyno time ie total cost = $415 + tuning??? i was told that buying the little blue box was useless as it had no tuning interface!

can i send away to HKS and ask for a new ROM? like tell them the specs of my car and theyll give me the stage x ROM??

haha im not that retarded! ive got a HKS SSQ one which is on an adapte plate on a return intercooler pipe the std one is currently blocked with a coke bottle lid (dodgey but successful!) can i completely remove it??

ive blocked mine off but is it possible to completely remove it and all the related hosing/piping? its just i can see it making the engine bay alot easier to work on without all that crap in there! thanks adam
