  1. tuning and fitting cost $150, the SAFC cost $150 (the older series one) power went from 226 to 271 so 45rwhp. off boost its no different raly, the fuel curve is fine but on boost its been leaned out a little so goes alot harder there. the problem is ive got a blitz ECU, HKS PFC which cannot be unplugged because no-one nows the wiring and its running off a MAP sensor which may screw things up. on top of that ive got an SAFC, so 3 computers:P
  2. ive got a daiken 5 button. i dont think ill change it, its not the best for launching but through the gears etc it doesnt slip at all, its bloody heavy!
  3. can someone quickly post the details of the whiteline kit? its Kxxxx isnt it? and where i can get it. $1xx from memory? thanks! (not hijacking )
  4. yeh i think ill go down this wednesday (30th) if not then in the near future. with 110rwhp more i think i can better the 14.6 of last time :burnout: yeh adjustable cam gears i think will be the next. anyone one which injectors will fit the std fuel rail? im currently running a bleeder, would an EBC be worthwhile for holding boost above 1bar? (im running a HKS external gate)
  5. nah bolt ons. im a uni student!! i aint pulling the engine apart im thinking injectors, but what sort? cams yes, but with my management i cant run anything too extreme
  6. just had an SAFC installed and tuned on my R32, made 271.6hp my question is... what next? are there any bolt ons available to give me more power or have i reached the end of the road? so far; t04e turbo front mount bosch 910 fuel pump all the other crap like exhaust, filter blitz ECU + SAFC thanks everyone! adam
  7. it all depends on fuelling and tuning. an engine can be fried at 200rwhp exactly the same way as 400rwhp with a lack of fuel/too much boost i personally dont think you can say at xxxxrwhp you will need forged pistons, it can vary greatly steve, who told you that?
  8. it is a way of calculating, however it makes many assumptions ie driver ability, weather conditions, suspension, track etc etc. that calculation suggests the best possible time so is usually wrong. as i said earlier the only numbers you can quote are those you can prove, not ones youve 'calculated'
  9. rob... but your in the same situation though arent ya ben? altho wider tyres will help... dinesh also had a whiteline diff kit, so with that, an AFC, and a bit of luck you should be able to pull a 13second
  10. good luck, if you do stuggle then id recommend a S-AFC/E-Manage. dinesh managed a 13.8 with exhaust, 10psi and an SAFC...
  11. yeah i agree terminal speeds can indicate the ET in a perfect world. BUT we all know skylines arent the easiest cars to get off the line, then yoiu also have to take into account the driver/weather conditions. in the end an ET is what you can stand by
  12. in the end a terminal speed means dick and until you can get a 13.7 dont be one of those people which whinge, but my xxx wasnt working. or i havent had xxxx tuned yet. the time you got yesterday is how fast your car is (whether you like it or not) and regardless of what you plan to do next. youve asked questions here and people have tried to answer you, but for some reason you believe that youre capable of a 13.7 with 10psi and an exhaust. there is alot of skyline experience on these forums, and believe it or not you are wrong
  13. they can afford to replace compressor wheels also those cars arent run like that every day. maybe once or twice down a drag strip
  14. everyone knows skylines have traction issues, in reality i think the time you got may be a little slow but not far off the mark i dont think youll get into the 13s with those mods. maybe with an SAFC or some kind of management, then some suspension work. but at the moment id be happy with a low-mid 14
  15. it shits me how people are too lazy to work and so steal from those who have worked hard to earn what they have. throw away the key i say
  16. ive been down at city beach trying to kill myself bodysurfing theyve been huge there!
  17. when actually youd blown your turbo!! the louder the induction noise=more air-flow. which normally means less filtration of the shit which destroys your turbo ie sand. if you want to make a stupid wank-sounding intake then get a HKS filter. but as we call them here ("cold gravel intakes"( they will not be doing wonders for your turbo.
  18. its all been said. big, stable board is easier to stand up on/balance and better for learners. the better you get the lighter/shorter boards are used for tricks and more mobility speaking of waves has anyone been down in the last couple days?? daaaamn!!:uh-huh:
  19. with yellow paint and a paintbrush
  20. yeh, itd be good if you could send it ASAP. thanks!! adam
  21. can i buy the centre console surround. its the piece of plastic/leather which covers from the gearknob up and around the A/C controls let me know if its possible thanks! adam
  22. haha jimi youve asked every single question almost:P nah they wont fit. ive got 235s and thats the widest you can go without modifying the guards. you see the GTS4 come thru on geoff risbeys email list, RB26DETT and single high mount HKS turbo!! for $20,000. niiice
  23. coilovers obvious advantage it their height adjustable. so you can set them to any height... more often that not the height you want isnt legal, so it helps when trying to get it over the pits, just wind it back up again!! it also depends on what shocks uve got now? are they overly hard? alot of cars come over with very stiff shocks like GABs or KYBs, in which case this would be a perfect opportunity to replace them with konis or bilsteins
  24. havent u heard? riced out bodykits add at least 50rwhp
  25. i sold my NA R33 for $17,000 about 6 months ago. i had it for 2-3 months and just got sick of it. its a nice-ish car, but not fast at all youve got to think, if you want a GTSt, whats going to be the quickest and cheapest way there? if its by first owning a N/A and convincing your parents that skylines arent death machines then go for it. although the resale thing isnt too great. personally i would just wait, i know skylines are great but i dont think that by first owning a N/A then a turbo is the best way around. you will lose alot of money and get very frustrated with having to tell people its a non-turbo, especially after commodore drivers beat you
