  1. yeh ive got the skinny plates for intercooler purposes theyre not really custom though, no-one ever remembers my plate...
  2. id advertise for 19-20,000 but take offers above 17500-18000
  3. thanks for the advice on remap vs AFC im going for a remap with a power figure hopefully around 280rwhp...
  4. yeh thats true! next time its dynoed might get them to hook it up to the master guage.... seems alright though, AFs are fine:P and RB20 is only $1000:D
  5. are you serious the +7 is supposed to be 13.5psi?!?!?! cos ive got a bleeder set to 13psi and its always maxing out the std guage but reading 0.9bar on the HKS one..... however one thing ive learnt is not to rely on std guages so ill stick to reading the mechanical one i think...
  6. i woudlnt be running those sorts of pressures even with your FMIC (ie pressure at plenum=close to pressure at compressor wheel) but as you said, why not? if it blows just upgrade:P
  7. i had this for a while on my 32 drivers window... someone kindly opened their door into me at uni, leaving a nice dent but somehow fixed the window! mayve just needs a bang? or take it apart and check the joins....
  8. id say youd struggle to find a good R32 for less than 15,000. you could get one but as theyre getting older now youve got to watch out for lemons
  9. yeh people only think skylines are common bcos they are a very noticeable car. if you start playing 'spot the commodore' then youll realise the skyline isnt actually a very common car plus i dont think the fact that its common should sway your decisions, buy a car on your merits not bcos its rare or too common.... either way youll love driving a skyline and will never look back!! good luck!
  10. are you thinking of selling? haha a 12.5 sec car for less than $2000 on mods, i wouldnt be selling it in a hurry!
  11. nah i never considered personalised number plates, i dont think its a good thing to be remembered on the road... also attracts unneccessary attention. or if someone sees you drive past with the stereo loud for whatever reason they can remember the numberplate, tell their dodgey mates and theyll kindly steal your stereo... (happened to a mate of mine) so yeh i dont think theyre a good idea
  12. whos hosting your car? i mean what stand is it under eg cypher, speedworks, rollaboyz etc
  13. apparently not.... might go see barry!
  14. haha
  15. ive just fitted a new fuel pump and need to tune the fuel curves as theyre rich as hell and all over the place what would be a better option, the SAFC or a remap? given i will be modding the car a bit in the future.... im running a bosch 910 pump and a garrett T04E with ex gate + all other normal mods (zorst, pod etc) thanks! adam
  16. there are so many skylines in perth!! i fitted 235's all round to mine as i encoutered the same problem as you. if youre after a 255 at the back maybe try some jap import/complaiance yards for 2nd hand wheel packages
  17. yeh 100mm allround, are the tyres right up under the guards??? the other measurement they can get you on is middle of wheel to wheel arch. last time i checked it was 360mm i THINK, this was the measurement they pinned me on when i was trying to register my car. i had to source 4 new struts as this height is only 30mm below stock. if youre after a legal height (ground and wheel arch clearance) its very high. just adjust it to a height that you like cos the advantage of having adjustables is that if you do get puilled up its easily over the pits
  18. ive got one on mine, came with it and computer was already remapped. im about to find out how useful it is as the cars needs a tune badly after the fuel pump addition
  19. hahaha yeh thats my mate:P he went down to the drags when we all went down (2-3 weeks ago) and pulled a 14.223 which is a damn good time for a COMPLETELY STANDARD 300ZX..... this was one of the cars that i was basing my theory on - that a lightly modded 300 couldnt pull a 12.5 but obviously i was wrong!
  20. ok i beleive you know! and am very impressed!! ive seen some z's not get the power to the ground well at all.... so more specifically how did YOU get traction?
  21. that map was a work of art!! big thanks to you 25GTT was an awesome cruise! not much you could do about the incident at the end but at least its getting sorted out. but well done, was the best SDU/SAU cruise ive been on so far!
  22. i cant do 30 september.....
  23. sounds good mack, id be intersted! can i make the map?
  24. can you post a timeslip? cos i still find it hard to believe, no doubt its a good time but i have never seen any car like yours run close to a 12.5.....
  25. yeh but ill be having more fun with my lack of traction:D you should be able to pull it off, will cost some $$$ though...
