jimih you can follow my progress cos thats my aim! a 12.9:P ive got a T04E and bosch 910 fuel pump so far (along with all the other crap like exhaust and filter) am planning injectors and a remap/new ECU but i think thatll only be a low 13sec car.... the RWD is the killer!

yeh i understand, thats why i cant believe it! when geoffs car has an engine putting out 50% more power and only managed 0.3 slower...?

geoff has rebuilt the engine again since it arrived.... but still managed a 12.7-8..... how did u get so low with such minimal mods? slicks?

RE:cam's car yeh how does that work??? im aiming for a similar sort of power figure as him (200rwkw) but am slightly disheartened by the fact i wont run less than a 13.5

but hold on theres other guys here in perth with skylines making over 300rwhp and they cant break 13.5...... how the hell did a 315rwhp 1500kg rwd car run a 12.5????

well i guess i have to believe you if hes got time slips... i should get my 3 300zx mates into contact with him though cos there doing something seriously wrong if this guy can bust a 12.5 with a fairly std zed

his runs a heavily modified auto box he ran it on bridgestone s02s so traction off the line was a bit of an issue but yeh that was his best time, may have bin 12.7 but defiantely in the high 12s....

another mate of mine has full exhaust, twin pods, boost and made 280rwhp and 13.9 in perth... why is it then that these 3 cars come no-where near this other car yet have been modded the same if not further....? and for reference someone else i know ran a 14.22 in a dead stock zed

the mod list for his car is huge... and for perth people yes thats geoff risbey's 300zx he previously owned a zed with filter exhaust and boost, SAFC and ran a best of 13.6.

i dont believe that a mate of mine puts out 470rwhp in a zed with twin TD06 turbos, full rebuild custom fuel system and power fc. he ran a best time of 12.8

a 2nd hand engine isnt a bad option as alot of them do come with km's travelled and you can run compression/leak down tests to check the condition f the internals and alot of wreckers offer a warranty on replaced engines....

its definately possible jimi! but i would be questioning the cars driveability on the street

yeh ive got to rebuild my 32 box soonish, its on the way out and im just gunah buy a 'new' one from wreckers/jap import parts place

im full time student at UWA doing arts/commerce and work part time as a "Desktop Services Assistant" at Bunnings IT Dept and work at RPH doing secretary type crap, and i still cant afford my car!

well if its not covered under warranty and the head has been pulled off and the piston/s are fried then i guess its rebuild time get some quotes from kosteckis or chris mills or theres another enginecentre around.... good luck!

tell them to define a cooked engine and prove that its stuffed before payin 7000 for a vg30. even if it is stuffed sounds like the car dealer should be fixing it regardless id be checking the warranty he got given!!

mines around 800rpm which i think is a little high...

yeh i understand the guages are screwed, you can add mine to the list! i just wasnt aware the pressure should get that high....

the t04e on my car holds 0.9bar perfectly

yeh just hand it out on the night i guess ive got a map from that cruise which it rained and everyone piked on! was a good map but we never got to finish it....
