  1. Hmm, that oil should be fine, as long as its an API GL-5 HYPOID gear oil. To run it in, you're supposed to do figure 8's for 30 mins, and clutch in before adding any lock. This helps bed in the new clutch packs. Maybe the skid pan was too much too soon, but I wouldn't have thought so. Hopefully an oil change fixes it.
  2. What oil did you put in the diff, and did you run it in? What you're describing, sounds exactly like what happens when you put non lsd oil in a lsd. FWIW, I would be using the recommended Nismo 80w-140 oil. And changing it after it's ran in. Good luck.
  3. I find it quite surreal that you would say that. I try to draw inspiration for my car from elsewhere, but I've never seen mine like that. I mean, I guess it could be, but I never expected this kind of overwhelming response from SAU. Thanks man, reading that has made my day.
  4. Thanks guys. Don't worry Rudi, I've been keeping a close eye on your build (^_-). After you started that Gatebil thread, I went through a backlog of all your posts...⊙_⊙ Your car has come a long way, It's becoming quite impressive and is tastefully modified to boot. I'm still undecided (I change my mind everyday) on whether to go all out on the 20 with an EFR6258 or just to go the tried true method of a 25 conversion.

  6. Any info on the 'Aerodynamic aids' that disqualified the evo?
  7. Sorry I ment in 2013. Not sure if they were there this year, as I couldn't get there myself. I just assumed they would be again?
  8. http://www.racedeal.com/index.html ^These guys were very helpful. After meeting them at WTAC, I was very happy to purchase from them. They even pay for the return postage to exchange the suit for a different size. If you can, go and check out the trade stands at this years WTAC. Pro tip: Always order a size up from the size you measure up to. By the time you sit it your race seat the suit tends to ride up a bit.
  9. 1. Yes, with a little bit of work. (Refer my post in DattoP510's original thread) 2. They come with the extinguisher, when you purchase it. GLWS.
  10. Yeah, that's the whole idea, get the suspension geometry back to standard and go from there. Have you had it aligned since?
  11. Torque for days. That will make for a fun and super responsive package. It almost looks like my graph, except yours has more power and torque...everywhere.
  12. I'm not sure exactly sure where it came from, but today I had a sudden surge of motivation. Perhaps it stemmed from seeing the results of the subframe, after it had been powder coated. Even though it will barely be visible, I knew I'd be disappointed with a second rate spray can job. The finish, looks and feels fantastic. Even the uprights came up a treat. After downing a strong coffee, I cleaned up the zinc primer where the bushes mount and pressed in the Nismo bushes. I was on such a roll that I didn't even stop to get photos of the process, sorry. I then pressed the new bushes in the knuckles. And made up a jig for the new arms. I also got this neat brace powder coated as well. It reinforces the rear toe pick up points Everything is all dummied up and ready to go. It's getting there, slowly but surely.
  13. I've never had any cooling issues with my setup, but I did add a bottle to the overflow/expansion tank before Matsuri. Maybe it was my imagination, or the Topstage bonnet, but the water temp seemed to come down quicker when gripping up. As you know, I haven't driven it much since. Seems like pretty cheap insurance to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  14. Did you just end up putting in another standard gearbox?
  15. Warning, this one's quite graphic.
  16. There are other ways to achieve wider track, such as longer LCA's.
  17. Also, a hit with a hammer to the head of the bolt will help loosen it up.
  18. No foot on brake. There was a designated 'tyre cleaning area', and it was only a couple of metres long.
  19. Is that a 1/4' ratchet? Get yourself an impact socket and a 1/2' bar.
