  1. Sorry to hear that Clive, going from BOM, I'll be shivering this weekend, just hoping not wet/damp all day. I'm grp 2
  2. Doh, I was already there with Clive: gaffer tape with 1970s casio calculator font - straight lines for you young ones!
  3. Not been with AROCA yet, what's the deal with numbers for PI. Must supply your own stick on numbers, does this just mean no A4 sheet of paper on the inside of window but presume A4 sheet with clear contact on outside is okay? ---- Display 230mm high numbers(s), both sides of your car. You need to use stick-on numbers so that your number is clearly visible. ----
  4. WRX club are at PI, 21 July. John mentioned Martin will put up the link shortly - you could also look on their website. AROCA will be at Broadford on 22 July Not really seen Broadford mentioned much, is it very rare for a car club to get a day there?
  5. As the family daily is back on the road, thought I best get working on the Nissan tractor for PI – thought the noise was from a leaking turbo gasket as per norm but this time it’s was different. The one piece dump/front pipe has cracked near at the turbo flange. Currently seeing if it can be welded otherwise left with the task of determining what no name replacement will line up with my cat - some shops are like, buy it, assume it will fit, we don't offer refunds. One thing is certain, this time a flex pipe section will be going in!
  6. I'd chill. I sent mine in Thursday with a question, got a no worries response but still to receive an official confirmation.
  7. No worries of the juice going off, is there!
  8. At last, thought you'd only listed regs but alpha forum link had both - can't wait.
  9. Don't have the edit option: I was pushing on the sides with tabs - I needed to rotate piers 90deg and squeeze ring, which pushes out the tabs (locking mechanism is behind these).
  10. So the family car's (audi a4) fuel pump went, I’ve replaced the filter and currently trying to get the in tank pump out – need to disconnect the fuel return line to get enough clearance to reach in and loosen the pump. Anyone know how to undo this type of clip – squish with pliers, seems a bit stubborn? thanks JP
  11. He has nothing to prove. Even if does retire from motogp, he'll have the opportunity to participate in other forms of Motorsport if he wants the odd kick.
  12. Ah, was wondering why there was no post about Karts - Garage Cafe it is then.
  13. Concur about a great day, thought it was going to be damp, ended up knocking 1.5s of the PB and Martin, correct again, really is a 1:26 there. Racechrono showed a .8s gain just through sweeper section (later braking, higher cnr speed). Braking with the Brembos was a bit on/off with me, couple of times was too sharp and didn't get the front fully weighted so skidded on, other times too conservative. Only problem, so long till the next track day - bring on the karts.
  14. John I've got V:1.2.8 and it does render 1080p?
  15. ha, I push my luck to enter two events a month, let alone a weekend. If only it was my birthday, though I've already had too many of those for my liking!
  16. it's the actual pipe that has fractured (just after the spherical end peice) Nissan have them in country and from research so far I'll probably go OEM. as for the lap, didn't get many clean runs down the back straight to slowly increase speed, but I've got to nail it through that chicane.
  17. Dam coolant leak is from back of the turbo, trying to research whether to get OEM steel lines or teflon braided lines to add flexability which are rated to around 210C?
  18. Seems it was youtube playing up: As for brakes I moved up from std s14 caliper/rotor with club racer pads to r33 gtr setup, again with club racer pads. This seems to have cured my pad life issue!
  19. I've put up my Winton times still to hear back on other tracks being added. As for Calder, with it being my first time, wasn't aware of the bumps or spinning the rears going over the hillock Got the hurry up to leave the pits when I came in from the last session - managed to take the Dorian home with me, posted back Monday. Brakes held up but will now have to look at temp gauges as the old girl got hot, coolant boiled off + leak developed. Failed to load youtube footage from dashware , will need to read up on upload rules/recommendations now.
  20. Will check fully when I have some time at the weekend, fuse blows under higher loads, therefore replacing fuel filter, check wiring etc
  21. 3rd Winton with issues for myself, least easily rectified once identified. So big thanks to Martin, Dan & acquaintances for your mechanical assistance. John thanks for the tips, shame fuel pump fuse blew again.
  22. I’ve only ever been on the Calder Raceway as part of thedrag strip return and you get warned for taking turn 1 too fast. So if anyone else hasn’t been here before, any better clips out there?
  23. Social re-adjustment meant I could put an entry in, Adam accepted my entry Friday night, group E first up. Do you meant at Wallan, time? Just in case I'm organised.
  24. I'm entered, hope the day is dry as I really want to try out the new front brakes.
  25. Not fast but enjoyed myself. Where's the sun, so cold now, it's like summer ended, lol. Thanks to everyone who makes this happen, sponsors, organisers, volunteers etc. Specials thanks to Martin for the footage as I’m still trying to find the mount for my gopro.
