  1. Bit of a laugh with the conditions changing so much. Wanting to get out again, can't wait for the 6 day weeks to finish and head to the nationals.
  2. Talking of delays, currently working 6 days a weeks, so with work, family, household chores etc only just got around to reviewing footage. Anyhow thought I'd fill in the gap between events with this clip, so what is this about Haunted Hills being a track for a decent driver in a well sorted chassis
  3. Hopefully they'll put up the original session times as well as the wrx club class results.
  4. Looking like a goog day, shame I couldn't make it.
  5. Yes interesting day, good for a laugh, no sunburn, windburn maybe! Really appreciate those standing out in the elements so I could drive around dry and warm in a car. BTW, where will results be posted? gippslandcarclub seem to have lost their domain.
  6. Hadn't seen this thread before. So Northcote, wasn't Vauxhall road was it?
  7. Would have loved your driveway as a kid for skateboarding, ours was gravel.
  8. Unfortunately I'm working Melbourne Cup
  9. suppose it saves $50 for a skeleton housing but goodbye waterproof.
  10. Be especially careful in the morning, HH seems to really suffer from a lack of grip early in the day. I seem to notice it more there than elsewhere, why?
  11. Yes I do have an arsehole. Stops me being full of shit :-)
  12. I'll throw my bit in as a cyclist - who gives a shit for traffic laws, lol. After 35+ plus years of cycling on roads, I'm not interested in being in the right and dead, in interested in being alive at the end of the ride, I'll be thoughtful/courteous to other road users but not if it puts me in danger. If you want me to bore you silly, ask me about it at the next meet
  13. Have you looked in prior years of natsoft for recurring events whose date location may be suitable?
  14. Is it me.... err what's the entry fee? ENTRY FEES Timed Sprints …………………………..$95 incl. GST Driver Training & Club Members........$105 incl. GST
  15. Agree, no point taking chances with traffic chasing lap times. Tried a few things but PIARC were sending cars out with 1s gaps and cars behind didn't play game of letting the one in front go a bit. Best was to sit in pit lane for 30s or so but the EXE guys in 350zees had the same idea as well , they were good lads, nice cars too.
  16. Yep it's a quiet period of the year and drives me up the wall - http://tamperedmotorsport.com may give you other Winton dates to look at if he's around that long.
  17. Brakes, not surprised, I thought they were toast at Sandown so what's up with Windscreen? That roast looked gorgeous BTW.
  18. What a gorgeous day, http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?02/09/2012.PHIL.S24.Y Re the Zed – I was informed it was one of those common final turn incidents. I was talking to one of the PIARC guys, Gary scrutineering – some of the old guys have had very interesting lives and well worth a chat. Anyhow, even though numbers were low, I always seemed to get involved in traffic at some point in my laps. Even had stripped out cars wanting door to door action. Funny enough fastest lap of the day was the last lap of the day – PIARC had even stopped the timing, very few were still there and even less bothered to go out due to oil through turn 3.
  19. What a gorgeous day, looking forward to tomorrow. Where are you planning to park up, if early, close to cafe or at far end of garages near the garage used as the entrance to pit lane?
  20. Um, nothing up on Natsoft yet, delayed start?
  21. If you have a CAMS membership already, otherwise it could could cost all of $55 I'm not in town but just spotted this Rob Roy hillclimb http://www.mgcc.com.au/robroy/ 30th Sept, its not long but then again, entry fee isn't a lot and it's in town. Clintons Road, Christmas Hills (Melway Map Ref 265 B9) Anyone done this?
  22. Shame I'm not going to be there, looks like being a good day but I really need to sort out my handling at a track I've been to more times recently. Can't wait to read the lunchtime food review
  23. I don't run a motorsport company, just have my personal experience to go from but maybe you'll want to add Taiwanese to your Chinese pillow ball crap list. Get clunks from left side of the car, so when I got my alignment done I asked them to give the suspension the once over - result, all connections tight, clunk is coming from pillow ball slop. The suspension has been in for 1yr, 12 driven to track days and <10,000km. Is that f**king ages? John, just looking at improving my rear setup, front already has coilover struts with camber tops and adjustable castor rods.
  24. I tend to leave from Northcote at 5:45am, though I don't stop on the way. Note I don't go through Cranbourne either - I head towards Pakenham on the Freeway and cut down Koo Wee Rup Road. Went down to Chasers to have the engine checked out, don't know if the other garage's instrument read low last time but compression was again even but up at around 160 per cylinder, leak down test was also very good. Looks like I can continue to target my money at the rear suspension and possibly Paul Ruzic EM Pro to provide engine monitoring to keep it so - currently just have standard dash.
  25. I linked the photo's from the browser on my phone - not sure how I was meant to post so the image showed, instead of the link.
