  1. BTW as it is a WRX event are SAU using it as a drive to get people in to track days?
  2. Late start trundle out around 10ish, get 30 mins back when crossing the border. Speaking of which, fuel cheaper in SA or Vic side?
  3. um, not sure what RRG would say about being front of shop for http://www.racedeal.com
  4. looking at the entry list, would have loved to have been another Silvia entry - ah work
  5. Strange that everyone running at PI since resurface has mentionef how abrasive it is. They will have known, perhaps discussed and agreed to run risk instead of bespoke RnD for one round only.
  6. I'm down for work on both 2nd and 9th though as I'm doing a mate a favour covering the 2nd, maybe I'll push him to return the favour for the 9th now I've realised both dates are impacted. Will be at the Nats though.
  7. Appreciate Robert has purchased his but if anyone is still interested, this was the articleBlowing_the_Lid_Off.pdf
  8. I still use external GPS and free Racechrono phone software - just moved to the modern Android version which now exports all data to the csv files (not just laps as per nokia version). Therefore makes it a easy to sync data to video at takeoff.
  9. My lanyard/sticker arrived today thanks
  10. Surprised you've still got it, was expecting someone to have grabbed it prior - PM sent. Now just to work out piston removal without an air gun
  11. okay so I'm used to having to maintain the pins on a sliding caliper to avoid uneven inner/outer pad wear. I'm now up for changing pads for the first time on R33 GTR Brembo calipers and I've noticed the outer pads are around 2mm while the inners are 5mm, otherwise radial/longitudinal wear is even. Is this something very common due caliper/toe alignment settings, seen advice that toe puts different loads on inner/outer pads within fixed caliper braking systems or is it something that will probably be cured by rebuild part#41120-12U25 Then as I don't have air gun, any top tips on piston removal without a compressor?
  12. If it's a quick purchase, pop down to your local bike shop(s) and try them on for fit. Note some ebay imports don't come with aussie standards stickers though apparently you can purchase those stickers online too? Personally run plain colour full face with visor removed (no ventilation issues in closed cockpit) with sunnies. Iirc $300-500. This is old and you can ignore their recommendation but it explains the testing process and international standards that get pushed. Google "blowing the lid off"
  13. Don't you love the rawness of early in car footage. Modern sophistication, go pro et al sanitises the experience.
  14. I'm working through a mad implementation so no go for tonight - really need to get a down one of these nights so I can get a rough compare against runs made prior to mods
  15. Is calder regularly updating its website at the minute as it seems ANDRA street meet "off street drags" are starting again from 27th Sept
  16. Here is my best, my 2nd session in the day, not quite a 1:02 but fun all the same. Only reviewed footage from the one session so if I've captured anything interesting in Grp5 footage will let you know.
  17. Yes waiting to go out in grp5 3or4th session and red evo driver initiated a chat with v8 m3, cut version=you take interesting lines; what do you mean?; I was overtaking and you moved into me sending me on to the grass:-) Before it got worse he walked away. All in all good day, got to see some new faces was expecting rain in the arvo and it didn't arrive, result. Personally can't wait to shred the 2nd hand tyres and get some new ad08s or rtypes.

  23. Looking forward to seeing the results, I'm starting to search for an 1.5LSD. And Ben, see you there.
