  1. I thought RB30E/T were top feed with hosetails?
  2. It was a tad laggy in the wagon but on the 3L it feels pretty awesome! I was trying to tune it myself but my consult cable died on the weekend I have also come to the realisation that I know enough to be dangerous and that my best course of action will be to pay someone who knows what they're doing to tune it and then go through the maps to try and learn something.
  3. Well it came with my wagon, got Grant to rebuild it for a VERY good price before I put it in the 32 (also going from a 2.5L to a 3L was very interesting with this turbo). RB20 NIStune (R32 RB25DE head) Can't wait to get it tuned, feels like it's going to be an absolute ball tearer!

  5. How do you lose your license when your GTR doesn't drive??
  6. The one I put in the wagon is still going strong and I give it a VERY hard time. Pretty good solution for my daily but is a world apart from the 2-way in my Skyline.
  7. I Tee'd both front and rear to the same source off the plenum.. seems to be alright It did baffle me a little bit because my old original RB20 rail only had the reg but I figured they would both require teh same reference signal.
  8. Like a tank?
  9. lol no, you won't. You should notice the big clouds of blue smoke out the back though
  10. Was mainly for gotRICE but she'll be right It won't ever become a pressure bomb, the worst it could do it pump a heap of oil out the exhaust either via the valve stem seals or the turbo.
  11. There are passages in the sides of the block that are for blowby gasses to equalise with the head. The PCV valve is designed to draw these gasses out when the pressure in there is higher than in the intake manifold (i.e. under vacuum). I'm at work and trying to focus on things completely not car related so my brain is struggling IN the R32 Engine manual there is schematic of the blowby gas system, might help explain it a little
  12. Yes, only an issue when there is a device metering the incoming air. Do you have a breather from your crank case to the catch can? IMO this one is pretty critical if blocking the PCV valve and running at atmo system. The approach I take is to equalise the pressure between the crankcase and the cam covers to prevent any build up of pressure and to ensure the returning oil has a clear path (not fighting gasses moving back up the drains). So I run each cam cover to the catch can and the dipstick to the catch can so that the blowby gasses have a nice easy path.
  13. You will be forcing the blowby gasses to find alternate paths instead of being drawn straight up the intake side of the block and into the intake manifold. What you are doing, while not technically correct, isn't BAD. It's when people run atmo systems and DON'T block the PCV valve that you get really bad issues.
  14. I was concerned about stuff melting either under the dash or in the headlights so the way I did it could be easily reversed in a few minutes!
  15. [email protected] He's in Perth but I know he has heaps of Stagea engines and it probably wouldn't be too hard to get him to chuck one on a pallet.
  16. Would just like to report that my high-beam mod is working wonderfully. I used short lengths of wire to do the bridging incase I needed to easily reverse it.
  17. You were talking about removing the PCV valve.. you CAN'T do that if you have a plumbed back breather system. If you look in one of the engine manuals, you will find a schematic of how the breather system is supposed to work.
  18. I bought my Nismo 2-way from nengun.com, other options are Justjap, Greenline, RHDJapan or a few of the traders on here sell them.
  19. Realistically, probably about $10k as is. If I had a spare $10k I'd buy it off ya Might be worth starting with a cheaper/easier to maintain Skyline.. something like a 32gtst
  20. I can get NIStune boards but you need to source the correct Z32 ECU. There is a lot of discussion in the Hypergear thread regarding NIStuning RB25s1's and it seems the general consensus is it's probably better to use an RB20 ECU and an rpm window switch (MSD or an eboost ebc which has a window switch).
  21. No, you can't do that. If you want to run a closed loop system (plumback, recirculating, whatever you want to call it) then you use an oil/air separator (baffled catch can) and plumb it inline between the cam breathers and the intake pipe. If you want to block the PCV you HAVE to run an atmo system or you will pressurise the hell out of your crankcase and start spewing oil out places. When I bought my car the guy thought the turbo was fkd, it would blow HUGE clouds of oil smoke when it hit boost.. he had the breathers set up incorrectly. I fixed the breathers and the turbo was still going strong when I upgraded it. My current setup is atmo: PCV valve blocked, cam covers vented to an atmo breathing catch can and a vent from the dipstick to the catch (NOT a drain).
  22. wut? A pod filter "kit" should come with an ADAPTER to bolt to a standard afm, not a whole standard afm.
  23. You can't block the PCV valve and run a closed loop breather system.
  24. It won't ALWAYS be like a locker though, it will wear in to be like it was when it was new from the factory. If you want it to be like a locker either weld it, or save up for a 2-way
