  1. Erno. The O2 sensor is only utilised for closed loop operation at idle and light cruise. Bigger injectors absolutely require a retune.
  2. Series 1 has a steel compressor wheel whereas the series 2 has a nylon compressor wheel. The nylon wheels really don't like being leant on.
  3. R32 GTR should fit, I think they're a little bigger and made of plastic?
  4. Ploise exploin! I will be doing a lot of big smokey burnouts in my 32 and as such, these are the precautions I have ready to go on or have lined up: - oil restrictors in head - oil return from head to sump - High Energy Pro-circuit sump - oil cooler w/ thermo fan - retain engine fan - 2x11" thermos on front of radiator (removing aircon condenser etc) Anything else I should be thinking of? should I be spraying coolers/radiator aswell?
  5. Starting an apprenticeship at any age over 16-17 is shiet, the pay just isn't worth it. P.S. do a tafe course and become a drafty lol
  6. They don't stop spinning at high rpm, the clutch is there so that the fan isn't spinning at full engine speed at high rpm. As for oiling, there are products out there that retain oil pressure in a container so that the instant you flick the key, it squirts the pressurised oil through the system immediately prior to startup.
  7. 33 turbo for cheap horsepower (get a series 1 item, mine has been going hard on my RB20 and now RB30). ~250rwhp out of an untuned RB20, just make sure you have a new fuel pump as the old stocker probably won't keep up. VG30 turbo is the same size as an RB25 Neo turbo. I have a neo hiflow on my Stag, it's stupidly large, takes ages to spool but makes 320awhp @ 12psi.
  8.
  9. Danny at JPC in ozzy park does halfcuts too, top bloke
  10. +11ty A remapped 32 ecu? or a stock ecu? You're looking about $800 to get your stock 32 ecu remapped, I have one running my RB30 w/ z32 afm and 550cc injectors, very good solution and if you *must* have readouts like with a PFC hand controller then get a carPC and datascan
  11. </feigns surprise> Nice one! Looks nice and straight dude, should be a whole lot of fun
  12. That's pretty hot dude.. highest I've ever seen on my 30 is 104deg and that was after a couple of big smokey burnouts on a 40deg day! FYI boiling point is around 110-115deg.
  13. lol yeah, got so much interest I had to queue people up
  14. How different is the offset? I'm running 17x7.5 +40 with 235/45 tyres and no rubbing on the back, 225/45 on the front no rubbing either. I have been contemplating getting some 33gtr rims but if I can't run at least 235 tyres then I won't bother..
  15. Guys, if you *might* be interested in a group buy, shoot me a PM with whether you'd want it in pieces/assembled/with screen and I'll start looking into prices/shipping/etc. Installing them is pretty easy if you can install a car stereo, all you need is an earth point, a relay, a 12v feed and a switched ignition source. I went about mine in a rather epic way as I was consolidating power to pc, stereo, screen and gauges.
  16. Mate if you puncture a co2 canister, that 800odd psi or pressure is going to do a little more than piss some cold air. HIGH PRESSURE IS DANGEROUS PEOPLE. Not quite as dangerous as the 4500psi air tanks we now use for paintball but 800psi can still be lethal. Just for those that don't know, co2 is a liquid under pressure and as such self regulates to ~800psi.
  17. ^^ What he said If they fit in my neo rail/manifold I take them for a nominal price Nath
  18. Might not necessarily be the coilpacks themselves, while it is common there can also be issues with the wiring associated with the coilpacks. I spent a few months troubleshooting a misfire and it turned out my 19yo coilpacks were fine but the plugs on the harness that connects to the coilpacks were falling apart.. everytime I took a plug off the insides would disintegrate more My stock coilpacks were so fine in fact, that I ended up selling the splitfires I got when I was troubleshooting.
  19. All good mate, knew you weren't having a dig but I was just clarifying anyway
  20. Further to the aftermarket thing, if you are buying brand new then get some with the right impedence. I got my Denso 550s from Powerflow Injection I think they're called, they're over east and I just went through the catalogue, found the appropriate injectors (size, style, impedence) and they supplied them along with the appropriate plugs. Oh, and this was the stupidest comment I've ever heard..
  21. What drop in replacement injectors are there for the Neo engines? Will GTR injectors fit? Injectors in my stag are pretty close to maxing at 320awhp and a mate has some 550cc gtr style injectors I could get for cheap cheap..
  22. I wasn't advocated buying a heavily modded car, that is more than likely someone elses headache. Nothing wrong with basic mods (exhaust, cooler, suspension) if they've been done properly.
  23. No probs. I still think it's a spark issue (breaking down) as opposed afm or oil in cooler like that other guy reckons. When you have 20yo wiring/plugs, you would want to look at replacing them just for the hell of it (especially mission critical wiring).
  24. That's why fill stations at paintball fields exhaust the leftover co2 in the lines away from frequented areas (usually run the hose a few meters up a tree or something).
  25. +1 to buying a car with basic mods When I bought my 32 is came with coilovers, fmic, catback, gtr bonnet/grill. That's stuff I didn't have to spend money on which left more cash for RB30DET, RB25t gearbox, 2-way diff, big brakes etc etc. Also did the same with the Stag I just got, the guy had blown heaps of money getting C-Red to put in coilovers, fmic, full exhaust, haltech, hiflow turbo etc. Edit: just saw this line.. So you're going to pay someone to install all the shit you want? hope you have a large bank balance as chqbook racing is $_$. If that's the way you want to go about it (i.e. NOT doing the work yourself), then do the smart thing and save yourself some money by getting an already mildly modded car. Labour is a killer.
