  1. What does it matter? you're just going to end up putting a 25 box in it anyway
  2. I believe there are synchros on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th but not on 1st and reverse.. someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
  3. Even MORE drafties! Welcome aboard foo's What model 911 did you have?
  4. Damn I was hoping for rain.. I went to the same track in the same karts a couple of weeks ago in the rain.. was mucho fun
  5. Yeah most likely, or one bad one. I didn't test, I just got pissed off and put my stockers back in and all was good.
  6. Without the backing plate and without hacking the bonnet support, I think the timing belt would be dangerously close to the bonnet.. even more so if I removed the 10mm spacers!
  7. Double clutch it. There is no synchro on first gear.
  8. Yes that is where the ABS sensors are, my Nismo diff came with new output shafts/flanges and they had the ABS sensors on them (my car doesn't have ABS).
  9. You'll be like LOL WUT? WE LOST?
  10. LOL!
  11. I took my splitfires out because they had a miss at idle and constant throttle that my stockers didn't have. They also made my engine feel doughy and unresponsive.. maybe I got a bad batch?
  12. I don't really want to hack into my GTR ally bonnet and I'm not game enough to take the timing belt cover AND backing plate off as I'm scared I would shred my timing belt. Can't run my strut brace at the moment but will attempt to put it back on once I go forward facing plenum and high mount turbo.. if I can't then I'll probably get a custom made brace back to the firewall. 10mm spacers is fine, that's what I have in mine and it doesn't look too bad (black car though, might look stupid on a diff coloured car). Oh and R32 TT, saw your car on Sunday at the Autotest.. it's a fkn beast man
  13. funky, I've got one of those PSU's lying around not being used as my box came with an M2-ATX, let me know if you want it Oh and if you're going for a 10" standalone screen and grafting it into your dash.. I saw some 10.4" screens that use Samsung panels! for US$200!! If I didn't want/need in-dash hidaway capabilities I would have got one of those!
  14. Make sure there's no sultanas in that pie OK? Sultanas are just wrong.
  15. Jaycar Linky
  16. Here is the pic off the jaycar site, it's currently installed in my car so I can't take a pic of the back (won't be pulling it out until my new screen arrives) but I'll take pics of it installed when I get home Edit: blah won't let me attach images and I can't link to the jaycar site as dynamic image pages are not allowed
  17. Yeah I got mine from Jaycar too, $150 delivered? Those 3x that I mentioned in the above post are all single din, the 700IDT is a good 50mm longer than the GL701 and M70MN. The thing that leaned me away from the Lilliput GL701 is the fact that it's motorised, as far as I'm concerned it's just more sh!t to fk up
  18. Did you get a wooden spoon?
  19. If your laptop has TV out then there are many options, if you want in-dash with VGA input, then your options are limited to like the Lilliput GL701, Xenarc 700IDT and the Porares M70MN that I'm looking at. I have a non-touchscreen indash 7" LCD here you can have for $200, my setup doesn't have TV-out so that's why I'm getting one with VGA input.
  20. They quoted me $462 + $29 delivered anywhere in oz. What are you going to use it for? there are cheaper options if you're not going to use it for a PC..
  21. I went with the VoomPC2 from mini-box, whacked a stick of ram, 120gb 2.5" HDD and a slim DVD burner, total cost including shipping and the items I bought locally (just to finish the box off, doesn't include monitor and peripherals) was AU$554. Pretty damn fair price for a fully thought out solution, you couldn't put something together here for that price using the same components and it is so tremendously smaller than what I came up with using old desktop components! Had a closer look at that M70MN from Porares and the lcd specs appear to be indentical to the Lilliput screen with out the motorisation. It is also smaller than the Xenarc 700IDT which is a big plus. Am going to give the Porares screen a go
  22. Excellent Anyone that is interested and can drop a decent skid, PM me
  23. My cam cover doesn't hit, it's the backing plate for the cam gear cover that hits..
  24. EPIC BURN! lol
  25. OK, so I finally got my pc and installed it on the weekend. Everything is working great EXCEPT! the cheapass screen I bought doesn't have VGA in. Wondering what in-dash screens people have used? I am leaning towards the Xenarc 700IDT.. it's going to cost $600 to get it here though so I want to make sure it's the right choice! I'm just a little worried about the depth of the unit.. anyone got one in a skyline?? Edit: these don't look too bad either but don't know how the quality is compared to the Xenarc.. it's a good 50mm shorter though.. Porares M70MN 7" manual in-dash Might be a little better, the Xenarc 700IDT doesn't have adjustable veritcal tilt and with the slope of my 32 console it might be pointing a little too much towards the roof
