Midland are great, make an appointment and it's mucho easy. I had mine booked in at 7:30am on a Friday and I was at work in town by 8:30am.
The first time you take it over they give it a full inspection (fine toothed comb deal), I thought I was going to get a HUGE list but it was only 4 items long and those items were pretty easy.
Unfortunately my motor decided to have oil pressure problems before I could get it back over the pits so the sticker expired on Friday, Licensing said I have about a 4-5 week grace period before they do an audit and send letters out to people with expired stickers telling them to hand their plates in, apparently you then have another 15 days to get the plates in. Hopefully get the engined fixed this weekend and book it in to Midland pits for next week
