  1. I got beaten by a wrx last weekend.. now I have an RB30
  2. The 25 turbo is shitloads better than the 20 turbo. I think it has shifter full boost probably 1000rpm higher.. with the 20 turbo my car would start spooling about 2000rpm and full boost before 3000rpm, now I'm starting to spool about 3000rpm and full boost about 3500rpm (got a dyno sheet with boost reading, I'll post that up soon). I will be using this 25 turbo on the 30 to start with while I save for a bigger turbo.. will probably make boost from idle on the 30
  3. Spotted several skylines there last night.. orange 32 gtr [CR 32 WA], white 32 gtr, white 34 gtr [DE4THROW], few 33 gtsts of assorted colours. I was one of a few black 32 gtsts, one other of which was [EVLTDY] and another with S15 rims and gate Kudos to the Chosen Few guys that were on the run back up the freeway from Baldivis
  4. ^^ nice! 117,xxx known km RB20DET silvertop RB25 s1 turbo w/ RB20 actuator Xforce split dump, 3" front, "hiflo" cat, 2 3/4" back into canon GTR radiator FMIC Greddy ProfecB spec2 Some generic mesh pod filter standard untuned ecu standard injectors 044 fuel pump Made 183rwkw/246rwhp @ 12psi today on Hyperdrives dyno in Perth.. will post sheet when I've scanned it
  5. Mine makes a wooshing noise too and sometime if I'm off the gas quickly when on full boost it flutters a bit and a get a nice pop out the exhaust (likely due to the extra fuel being thrown in as a result of the flutter). 117,000km RB20DET (known km's..) RB25 s1 turbo FMIC Greddy Profec B spec2 standard untuned ecu standard injectors made 183rwkw @12psi on Hyperdrives dyno today
  6. Check the breather setup on the rocker covers.. blowing the dipstick out sounds like excess crankcase pressure..
  7. No problem at all with my C's shifter, I'm even using a 25det shifter on a 20det box
  8. My car used to do something similar, the wheel always sat about 10deg left of centre and at about 80km/h when accelerating hard, the back end would get a bit quiggly for a couple of seconds - only around 80km/h. Removed the rear steering rack yesterday and whacked in a lockbar (cheers NV_01), steering wheel now sits straight and no more squirling in the back end.. I can only assume I've been crabbing along for a while now O_o another thing I noticed was that when reversing out of my driveway the wheel would sit about 10deg to the RIGHT, then left again when moving forward. I think hicas was fubar'd!
  9. ^^ What does your pedal feel like?
  10. ^^ ouch I couldn't make it to the morning stages
  11. o0oo burn!
  12. Bah I was wondering how long it would take before the "32 is a poor mans whatever" came out.. that's exactly what I was talking about when Brad lashed me I love it, at the time I bought my 32 I could afford a 33 gtr but decided on a rwd 32 P.S. I'm thinking next car is an E46 M3
  13. all good I just hate the kids with 33s that talk shit p.s. 32 gtst is in 2nd@!
  14. I made it to a few stages on Saturday, caught the end of the first run around the Bindoon stage then headed over to Coondle West then stopped for a feed in Toodyay before heading out to watch the Toodyay stage. I should have brought some extra jocks as Jim Richards' GT3 RS made me very happy in my pants several times. And Kudos to the Holdens (new monaro, SS ute and a VH GrpA) that put it well sideways everytime they passed the spectator points Couple of nice fat Toranas but I didn't see ANY skylines.. was there any? The only Nissan I recall seeing was a pretty stock S15..
  15. Why even bother with this? it will only ignite the age-old 32 vs 33 war that pisses me off no end.
  16. Standard RB20 turbo on my RB20 ran absolutely fine at 14psi for a little over 6 months till I put a s1 RB25 turbo on there. Rb25 turbo is currently running 12psi due to lack of fuel at high rpm. New pump and remap and I'll turn it up to 14psi, I have no fears. Personally I believe the majority of failures are due to people winding the boost up without a full exhaust, the existing restriction in dump/front pipe/cat combined with the extra gasses being forced through heats up the turbine/housing a fair bit.. when my stock cat shat itself, dislodged and blocked up, my turbine housing (rb20 turbo) would glow almost transluscent red.
  17. Hey Jason, I'm in Perth and was wondering if you could keep me updated on this I have a remap kit from CEFF1E to go in for now but this Nistune stuff sounds pretty good
  18. RB limiters cut fuel (probably injectors, easier for ECU to deal with) not ignition, if they cut ignition we'd have built in bee*r limiters

    Is it too late?!
  20. I was in Claremont yesterday and spotted TWO DB9's.. one convertible and one hardtop.. rich khants! I start a sweet new job on Monday that pays a fair bit of coin but I think I'll have to wait till they start appearing on the used car market before I get a new GTR O_o
  21. Dino, badluck but if you know you're in the right - stand your ground. I got done on Tonkin Hwy coming back from Serpentine on Sunday, 129 in a 100 zone - cop was nice, I was nice (I didn't even bother trying to argue it, I was blatantly speeding, got caught and accepted the consequences) and they didn't decide to be assholes and check my car over 342Four I know that section right there, they had some impromptu traffic lights there on Sunday.
  22. fix your spike problem first!
  23. Manual FTW, only time is shits me is picking up my coffee in the morning then trying to pull out onto a busy main road I guess the new button clutch doesn't help that either
  24. Since getting my new button clutch I have found that a blip of the throttle on down shifting is MUCH nicer on the clutch. If I don't give the throttle a blip and I'm trying not to compression lockup (i.e. slip it a little) I can feel the clutch skip and it generally doesn't feel nice at all. I kinda of feel like a fool driving around giving it a rev in between each downshift but it is certainly much kinder to the clutch
