  1. oh noes! sounds like the flux capacitor to me.... Srlsy, I would be pointing at the coilpack harness as well. Maybe rip it out, and if there is no obvious signs of breakage get the whole thing sprayed in urethane
  2. The link worked OK for me, and Leigh, you are on the button dude. Personally, not with a barge pole. You could import one yourself for about $10K less, and the odo reading on that HAS to be bull. You couldn't put that much interior wear on a car in less than 40 000kms. jeez, for that sort of money (and even a fair bit less) you could have an M35. If its manual you are after, buy this one, and then get the 26 dropped in - you will still see $10K change.... http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=12481 or, if its low km's AND a manual, this... http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=12580
  3. Um, no thats not quite right - the attessa system uses 4WD all the time, snow or not, so that could still be the problem. Just as long as the fluid level in the boot hasn't dissappeared all together that is....
  4. wouldn't most of those problems be more related to road speed rather than gear and RPM? Also, most would get worse as speed increased. Also, most of them (wheel balance/alignment etc) would be felt through the wheel?
  5. get under the car and check your front driveshaft uni - there should be NO movement in it (as opposed to the rear that has a little bit of play)
  6. NNNNEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh
  7. better watch those intake manifold welds there tiger...
  8. ...and some people know and understand suspension and wheel theory and how it applies to the real world conditions. While some think that doing this is a good idea. Funnily enough, the same person who argued with me about 6 months ago that increasing camber doesn't increase tyre wear, and then makes this statement recently Or, you could listen to the guy that helped bilstein develop a suspension set up specifically for the stagea, and also has a proven TRACK record in stagea's and skylines..... *leaves*
  9. the dogs breakfast that is our public transport system and the retarded down syndrome chimpazee's that run it. that is all.
  10. he was scared of the buff looking bald blek man in teh corner.. go easy on him man.
  11. well, I had no problems loading it, and most everything looks good from here. Top work dude. Makes me wish I was more HTML literate..
  12. you found the place OK then I know seet FA about photography but IMO your shots look awesome WD and keep the thread updated with all your other locations. Oh, and MattyP - That antilag shot is Teh Shizz!
  13. A LOLcat is a captioned pic of a cat (usually badly spelt) and my avatar is a photo of my own dog taking teh piss of said LOLcats. see http://icanhascheezburger.com/ for examples. And now I have a legitimate one to keep on topic. Micah - get one of those new attack kittehs from ebay
  14. the gear stick comes out of the transfer case ??????
  15. ^what leggy boy said GL with it dude.
  16. ooooh, do I detect a few issues here? LOL Lucy - try your local council for hall hire. A mate of mines parents hired an old RSL hall for their anniversary party and it was great.
  17. Oh..... Is there any difference to the transfer case though?
  18. Stake out @ Micahs place? f**king retards in this world hey?
  19. Luckily 5/8ths of f**k all - you can usually pick them up for bugger all as a LOT of stag drivelines get brought in to the country with the boxes attached and the box and transfer case get flung pretty smartly. about $200 is the going rate here in WA last time I checked.
  20. Um...maybe because the front shaft has taken out your clutch actuator When mine went, the uni had punched the bearing retainer almost al the way through, I was about 5km of driving away from what happened to you....
  21. Is that the front or rear driveshaft? And why have you lost the clutch?
  22. Are you sure there is no noise? Cause when the uni in my front drive shaft went, the clacking noise drove me nearly batshit crazy.
  23. Not good dude! It might be a uni, but in my experience if the uni is failing there is usually a tapping or knocking sound associated with the vibration due to the bearing surfaces in the uni constantly coming in and out of contact with each other. I know tailshaft balance problems are rare, but I would be looking closely at the rear tailshaft anyway to make sure there are no shiny patches where weights may have dropped off. Yours is a manual, isn't it? How was the clutch surface of your flywheel when it was installed?, but you will know if this is the problem because the clutch will start to slip. Also have a close look at your wheels (esp the front ones) to make sure there is no balancing weights that have gone south. Other than that, all I can think of is the dreaded ATESSA system problems (maybe chain drive to the transfer case?)
  24. just be aware that they will use the same amount of fuel as a V8 commonwhore or foulcoon wagon. Its the same thing every time someone comes on here. They get told to buy one coz they are awesome cars etc etc (and don't get me wrong, they are) but then they find out what the average mileage is, and a new thread gets started about wether or not it is right. 2.5 litre engines WILL use as much as a 5 litre V8. especially when they are dragging a lardarse wagon about.
