  1. Gonna get teh missus to head down to Maddington with a bootload tomorrow. Love ur work, champ
  2. Haaahahahahahahahahaaaaa! Phear teh net nazi's!!!!! Someone needs to email this bloke a link to this thread
  3. Just tell the missus, you can sleep in a car, but you can't race a house
  4. Brad, you could start off with a brand new set of BFG Desert Duellers on the back, and they would STILL be low profile slicks by the time you were finished... If only this was open to other cars
  5. Sweet. Well, good luck with it man, and we are all hoping to see the beast out there scaring pedestrians (and people silly enough to sit in the passenger seat) again soon
  6. Brad It obviously isn't going easily for you Anywhoo, I can't measure it for you, but the std height (according to the spec sheet) is 1495mm as found http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/nissan...a/1996_9/21865/ ^there. Hope this helps.
  7. If the fluid isn't pressurised as it is fed into the trans, you will never get it all out due to the sheer volume that the torque converter contains (that will not come uout under gravity). Either get it flushed at a trans specialist, or drain and refill it about 4 times in a week. Its about the only way I know of to get it all out, and it would be a LOT more stuffing around, and probably more expensive, than getting a specialist to do it.
  8. WD Ian!! The car looks awesome man. You must be happier than a pig in sh1t.
  9. its the wasteland dude. Don't take life so serious, no one is gonna get out alive
  10. well, as a die hard tragic SAU whore, gotta say that ANYTHING that makes this site more viable can only be due a big thumbs up. And if Prank is actually making a little money off it, as a community we should all be supporting it. Its not like he doesn't deserve to.
  11. I dunno man, last time you got sooooo close to dragging your front bar on the ground, with applied effort I reckon you could get there
  12. Wow! That is a dead set work of art! SOOOOO much work involved in a project like that. A crapload more than converting a wagon, thats for sure. It will go like a scalded cat with the M5 engine too.
  13. No, see I was going to say that you should look into getting a GTR rear cradle (coz the driveshafts need the centre to use) but its not really the axle you need to strengthen, its the CV joint. It may still be worth looking into. The problem you have, is the running gear in the S1 is the same as the R33 GT-4 and they don't have the same "meatiness" about them as the gtr, because the R33 GT-4 was only ever released with the NA RB25. To prove this, just compare a front driveshaft from a GTR to a stagea, and you will see that the stag ones step down in diameter before the diff, whereas the GTR ones don't.
  14. That looks to me like its CV joints you need, not axles...
  15. Nup - you are talking about the New One Tonner co out of Adelaide, they had to get all their vehicles engineered as ICV's, and it was done by mounting the front half of a commo on an old one tonner chassis. There is no way in hell you would get something like that rego'd here. If you want a close to home example, just look at what the Osman brothers went through to get rego for their WRX ute (and that was a domestic market car that already complied with current ADR's) As for the kombi to ute conversion, why the hell wouldn't you just buy a factory kombi ute? They came in single and crew cabs from the factory.....
  16. Many happy returns Kylie!!!
  17. Charles! Long time no hear dude. Good luck getting this together. Are you going to enter this one? Carn people, time to put your mods where it matters!
  18. best news you could hope for dude. WD on the perseverance and I am really glad it will all get sorted out for you.
  19. 2 chances none and SFA
  20. You CAN helicoil sparkplugs yourself, but without specialist gear you can't do it with the head on the engine, because all the swarf and crap from drilling the old thread out will drop into the top of your engine. Are you 100% sure it isn't just the crush washer fouling?
  21. Oh noes! The first pass didn't go well I take it? Maybe have a chat to some compliance shops and see if they have one you can borrow for a day or 2?
  22. What is it, exactly, that you need to rethread? How it is done (and wether or not you can do it yourself) kinda depends on what it is.
  23. rofl. well, if any stagea's have the balls to enter SAUWA's timed track day, I will even be able to tell you how much they get chopped by a "gutless" 4 cyl
  24. LOL alll the better to chop you in teh pulsar fury, my dear
