  7. how in the hell did you manage to leave donelly river off there? Great route, but the road from brigetown to donelly river is an absolute cracker IMO Other than that, I can def vouch for this route.
  8. I'm 3500kms away and I'm gonna make it
  9. But what an opportunity! The ability to "neaten" everything above and beyond factory spec means you have the chance to build a damn nice machine man. Good luck with it.
  10. No, dont do that! I want you all to call me dirty names and ridicule my dress sense! I guess I don't really need to say that I am up for this, so here is a LOL to distract you...
  11. seems a bit pricey IMO. Better off just sticking with the tried and true consult cable. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Consult-Cabl...id=p3286.c0.m14 ECU Talk is an awesome application to use, its more than you will ever need (other than a wideband o2 sensor)
  12. buy a stock S2 change ID tags profit
  13. Oh man I haven't seen that in aaaaages! That video was one of the main reasons I bought a stagea. Dont see Alex on here much anymore.
  14. But almost $17K for an S1??? Oh, and linky for anyone interested.
  15. If it is, the VL commo one can be adapted to fit pretty easily. Same for the alternator
  16. Um, first of all, Belt grip - do what it says and dont use it on ribbed or multi V belts. Belt grip is designed to work on higher face pressures than you get with these style belts, all it will do is cause your belts to wear out faster. Secondly, check your air conditioning clutch. Looking at the face of the compressor, you will see that when the air con is off, the centre of the clutch should stay stationary. If the clutch is on its way out it can drag when you start up. Fan clutch - If this is the problem they usually get more free as they deteriorate, not bind up. You should be able to feel a slight resistance when you turn it by hand (with the engine NOT running) but in my experience, like I said, when they start to let go they get easier to turn, not binded up. Maybe check and make sure there is no movement in the hub of it though - if the spigot is worn it may be letting the fan come in to contact with the shroud. Lastly, make sure that the belts haven't been over tightened, as this can cause the bronzed bush in the water pump to bind and wipe the shaft. Deflection should be as per the manufacturers recommendation.
  17. Do you have any available positions for Shafting Tail managers?
  18. too many weddings and interstate trips for me to commit to October but November would be sweet! I am up for anything, but a small cruise combined with a social get together at the end would be my preference. Obviously something at least a little kid friendly would be good, coz if I wanted to hoon about with tools then there are plenty of other options available. South would be good too - maybe dwellingup or similar? Or, if people are up for an adventure maybe even a picnic at somewhere like Logue Brook Dam.
  19. Salright Ash - join me over here in the "NA FWD pilots (ergo never will be carjacked) lounge"
  20. Oh man I lost my stagea in almost the same circumstances so I really feel for you. Mind you, I was the "idiot" on the continuing road with a WRX doing the u-turn in front of me. He lost
  21. Prevention is the best cure Hence, I drive a pulsar....
  22. The same way I deal with telemarketers, tell them to wait a minute, close the door and go and do something else. Eventually they get sick of waiting and leave.
  23. If a better ride is what you are after, maybe think about going down to 17" rims. You will get the sidewall you are after but keep in mind the trade off in handling accuracy. I have NFI about tyre clearances with the 18" rims, but I can't imagine you will have a whole lot of room left in the wheel tub. Offsets may need to be looked at for proper suspension clearances.
