  4. Well, when my kids get their licence, laws nonwithstanding, I would like to see them spend their first 12 months behind the wheel of a 1954 Desoto repowered with a 120Y engine and gearbox...
  5. payment sent, and I my missus reckons I am worse than the kids 2 weeks out from xmas
  6. If you HAVE to do it, look at your fuse box for the interior light circuit and take the power off there. Its about the only legal way to do it. You will be taking a risk drawing cuurrent from the cig lighter if you don't fuse it.
  7. I have a few mates into 4WDing and they all had this same issue. 3 of them went to "high flow" air filters and they were fine in the city, but caused problems letting crap into the wrong side of the inlet due to the bigger flow rate (coarser mesh) in the pods. Keep the airbox and use a K&N or equivalent panel filter, and ckeep an eye on the "clean" side of your airbox on long runs. You may be very suprised at what they actually let through (especially on the albany and great southern hwys)
  8. Next thursday - that way you will avoid all the wallet racers and tosspots
  9. Like maybe a light green S1 with a nismo kit on it? just sayin.....

  11. Ministry Of Sound 2008 Annual 2 reasons, a) coz it is awesome b) because it is helping to purge some of the rampant boganism Bard seems to be spreading about the place
  12. LOL you KNOW it was a stupid idea when they have to employ dudes to control the traffic in and out of our car park every morning and afternoon peak hour. Heres an obscure one - (Ash will know what I am on about) The roundabout on Armadale road and Twelfth Ave - especially when you are turning. For some reason people on Armadale road going straight through disregard anyone already ON the roundabout. I personally know 4 people that have been in accidents (2 were write off's) in the last 12 months.
  13. SFHC is also recognisable by the text "SFHC" on the rear window underneath the rear wiper pivot
  14. a) Nissan only had one colour red at that time (hence the pulsar being exactly the same colour) b) Its listed under the sticky "Buyers Guide" here Oh, and be aware that the red colour is one of the MOST prone to fading so you may want to go to a proper automotive paint place and ask if they can use the code as a base, and maybe add a splash of straight white tinter to match the rest of the car otherwise your skirt will look a lot deeper red than the rest of the car. I dunno if there is any near you, but my local guy will match it and put it in an aerosol can for you. If you get stuck, drop me an email and I will pass on his details (he is in Kenwick) Oh, and for all the non belivers, try this site for checking http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/new-color-on....php?language=1
  15. Morning my little Siberian muskrat The colour for your fine machine is officially known as Nissan Active Red The colour code is AR-2 Kthnx *edit - I might point out at this stage, that the paint code for this colour is exactly the same code for the australian delivered N15 Pulsar - known as "flame" red in the brochure.
  16. Don't do it - not for commuting anyway. There is a reason that motorcyclists are called "temporary Australians" and it has nothing to do with you or your level of skill. Get a road trail, keep off the road as much as possible, and then upgrade to something you will only ride out of the city. Srsly man, if you are married (and have kids?) then every time you leave your driveway you will be putting your life in the hands of complete strangers with little to no skill behind the wheel. Think of every near miss you have ever had in a car, remove all protection, throw in a lot less opportunity to get out of trouble and then mulitply by 10 (to allow for the barrage of "sorry, I just didn't see you")
  17. can someone with FAST put up the power steering circuit? It sounds to me like the pressure relief bypass may be sticking....
  18. Dan - apparently it happens quite frequently, but you have to watch the weather really carefully, because its a fairly specific set of conditions that cause it. Oh, and we were told that that much snow is quite rare. Even the lady at the caravan park tried to warn us that we may end up only seeing enough for a single snowball. Brad - Yep, it was, but you need to take a LOT of warm clothes, which are a drag carrying up there, but when you get there you appreciate them, also, it is a LONG and very steep climb. The track is awesome, its pretty impossible to lose it but it is damn hard work getting up there (but soooo worth it)
  19. Eric - Lisa Cary was her name (she married a farmer down there and her married name escapes me ATM but she had a voice like a bloke Anywhoo, back on topic, I just got back from the road trip, and to all youse doubters I can only say Har Tee Har Har Har! We got snowed on twice on the way up Bluff Knoll, and pretty much constantly for about one third of the return. There was snow everywhere, and at the best spots it got to about 30mm thick. We all enjoyed a snowball fight, and a guy from channel 7 news caught the action on film. If you have ever even thought about doing this, I can't be emphatic enough, just do it!!! It was the experience of a lifetime, and my kids have told me they are gonna remeber it for the rest of their lives (and so will I) Pics (and yes, I am crap with a camera) yeah LICK IT BIATCH!!!! This looked like the edge of the world! The first snow storm to hit us This is taken from a little under half way up looking at the road to the car park - awesome drive too!!
  20. Dude, I don't claim to be an expert, but its my understanding that the R32 ATESSA system and the stagea ATESSA system (based on the R33) are poles apart - you can't just pull a fuse to run in RWD like you can in a 32 (and there are people on here who have the destroyed clutch packs from the transfer case to prove it) When you say "everything" works, I assume you are talking about the body? (doors, windows etc) Wouldn't you be better off with an aftermarket system?
  21. Jeez man, thats a HUGE job - what are you going to do about the ECU? Feel free to share some build in progress pics
  22. far ken oath it is - one of the guys i am sharing an office with atm, is the brother of my old english teacher at high school!

  24. LOL It snowed when I was living there too - out near Ewington apparently, but we went rushing out there to see a big heap of mud and that was it
  25. So, has anyone here been down to Bluff Knoll to see the snow? I am thinking of heading down south for a look, and was looking for any pics, hints or tips. Neither me, my wife or either of my daughters have ever seen snow before, (and I get a road trip out of it too! ) So - your snow hunting tips, give them to me.
