  1. LOL I was gonna make some smart arse reply about the way the price of crude shot up recently too......
  2. So, here we are again, just you, me and the moonlight.....

  3. I was sharing ur pain there dude.
  4. ROFL!!! Behind the rocker cover up against the firewall I must have spent about 3 hours staring at the engine bay, and my missus (the biggest mechanical n00b in the history of n00bness) was the one that finally found it. Keep looking, it is there.
  5. Changing the belt is really easy. We recently had a BBQ here in WA and 3 of us got it changed no problems. Follow the step by step guides you will find on here (especially the one by SydneyKid) and you can't go wrong Have a look at the classifieds - There are quite a few that sell the originals as well as after market ones such as Gates belt kits etc. The only problem I could see with the Gates kits is they don't include fan belt, alternator belt etc etc but they do include stuff like front crank seals (that you can't use because you need to pull the sump off to fit them and to do that you need to get the engine out) Oh, and the trans fluid level is checked on the dipstick, the same as any other auto.
  6. right about the time he took off and handed the duties to me
  7. Photo's... If anyone wants hi res versions drop me a line. (sorry I didn't get everyone, a man's gotta have SOME socialising time ) (gotta get Teh Fury in there somewhere) Also, HUGE thanks to Brad for organizing a top day. And also for taking my wife for a "quick lesson in sideways" in Paul's car. She had a ball.
  8. well, I hope he is being gentle
  9. rofl BTW, welcome to teh forum, make sure you drop by the chat thread and introduce yourself to the regular forum whorez
  10. Not at all (sif take anything serious on here anyway) Just that I would feel a little silly trying to blend in with all the lumbering monstrosities
  11. Well, as much as I would love to come and dish teh chop on all the land barges , I think me and Teh Pulsar Fury are going to gracefully retract from the cruising scene from here on. Have fun everyone.
  12. Most dealer warranties only cover "breakages" as well, which means if their mechanic says it wore out rather than broke, you won't get diddly squat. Besides, the dealer I last bought a car off (one of the MOST upfront people I have ever dealt with) showed me how the warranty only costs them about $5-600 and they RRP at about $1800 and he STILL told me that even the dealers think its a bit of a scam.
  13. but its not going to happen Besides, teh Pulsar Fury will pwn joo ALL!!!! (sorry, its like a drug and I am addicted )
  14. You entering that in your stagea? I think you need to introduce yourself, and show us your wagon.
  15. ^^ What he said It would be really good if all the WA'ers came down and said g'day, even if they aren't driving. I for one, would like to try and get a photo of the most stagea's ever assembled in one place in Australia.
  16. What about teh canary sam?
  17. If bullshit was music, you pair of yanks would rate as a 63 piece fcuking orchestra. You are currently in a country that has the most imbecillic attitude towards automotive safety than any other, you originate from the nation that has without a doubt the biggest reputation for the most badly designed, evil handling pieces of crap ever to grace tarmac, and yet you come on to an AUSTRALIAN forum to tell us what is appropriate for our cars and our roads? Hubris much? You make a down syndrome epileptic with severe autism look intelligent you complete and utter assclown
  18. Mine had the core replaced just before I bought it, and if you go and ask Regan nicely, he may show you the photo's But, at the end of the day, I have heard a lot about people saying it can be done with half the dash removed, but I have never seen it done. Just suck it up and rip the dash out Morgan. There is nothing technical about it, but it is a fairly long and arduous task
  19. Good luck finding them dude, but if I were you, I wouldn't be holding my breath... Is this just the std rust under the mirrors? You should be able to get the stuffed section cut out and a rolled-to-fit section flush welded in? Maybe you need to talk to some body repair people that specialise in hot rod and custom work? I know that someone repairing a 49 Desoto isn't going to be able to just buy a new door skin, and they manage to get body repairs done.
  20. Yet more proof that cops are people too IMO. There are some real arseholes out there, but there are also some pretty decent blokes that will TRY and do the right thing.
  21. Have you driven a Foooooord...lately?
  22. And last but not least, feel free to ignore everything said by those ^ 2 tools
  23. Can be "tetchy" if not stroked lovingly on stomach during afterglow

  24. I have a manual for teh stagea, but its only really any use if you read japanese
