  1. Hehe I meant 108C before the needle movies from center
  2. Interesting facts there. What I wish is if Dyno Dynamics actually state the correction being applied on the printout. I know that other dynos such as DynoJet state say the correction is eg 10% so we can see just if figures are kinda fudged.
  3. The rear end of the coupe reminds me of a Porsche somewhat. Not a fan at all.
  4. Nice progress man! What are your aims with the project? 10 sec RB25?
  5. 108C is pretty damn high before the needle moves! I believe the boiling of 33% coolant + a 1 bar cap is about 125C?
  6. Meh well if the mentality is that only force fed RBs are invited then I think thats a smidgen unfair! I mean people are entitled to run their car on the dyno even if its not really highly modded or not an RB yes? Its all fun in the end and thats what counts! OK well I have to admit if we had 10 Excels lined up I'd be rasing my eyebrow but we all know this doesnt happen on an SAU dyno day.
  7. You snobbing off lightly modded cars Cubes?
  8. Tangles you should be OK if you have history of previous use eg >2 weeks etc. Its only cautionary if you drive with any potentially sleep inducing drugs. You are not allowed to drive *if* the doctor said you cannot.
  9. ^^ Nah he just wishes he was one.
  10. Roger that.
  11. ^^ Couldn't it be any more obvious? hehe. If I'm IN town, I'll drop by n throw the car on the dyno but I reckon I'll cry afterwards lol.
  12. Well I assumed that if you can use the 5 bolt T3 housing, and then use this wastegate setup; http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant...tegory_Code=WGT Then you got an internally gated turbo. Of course the housing is not the best. I know you guys are waiting for the true GT housing (only the non wastegate ones that you see eg 3" 4 bolt and the V-Band). Apparently the GT housings are worlds better than the 4 or 5 bolt T3 non GT housings so I bet its worth the wait for sure.
  13. You can already buy these with internal gates and have been around for quite a while now. EDIT - I didnt see a few posts above someone had found an example.
  14. Yeah but do the same mods on an EVO and you'll get spanked. Its apples and oranges. The EVO IX is a superior car stock for stock (and even when both have the 'usual' mods).
  15. Note the only reason why people throw ATF into gearboxes that are not spec'd for it is because it improves the shifting quality of a f**ked up gearbox (due to ATF being very thin). Obviously ATF's additive pack is not suitable for gear/hypoid action and thus the box wears out even quicker. This reflects in Cube's testimonial. Sorry to hear u guys got shafted. ATF is a quick and nasty fix.
  16. Damn I wouldn't be paying. I'd be demanding money more like it. Not a real fan of the colour scheme though..
  17. ^^ Just shutup and take your Nazi shit elsewhere OK cos noone gives a shit. Now back on topic, I believe your result is about right.. they're not that fast on a rolling start unless theyre modded.
  18. Earl's FTW.
  19. Hmmm you could try it but I reckon it may not crank it fast enough?
  20. Theres no such thing as 'ash free'. You can see this from the UOAs. Ash freemeans there are no metallic type additives in the formulation which is clearly not true. IMO Royal Purple's street oils are OK (no evidence to suggest they are better than Mobil1 in real world testing), but their racing oils such as RP21 are quite good.
  21. I need to change insurance companies but noone likes to hear about my driving history. I guess its my fault cos Im no angel. And Just Cars suck for 3 reasons; -Excesses are excessive ($3k for me which is bordering ridiculous) -The agreed amount of insurance is ~ redbook (they dont seem to understand that mods are expensive stuff eg rims) -No monthly or bi monthly installments (just great with the insurance premiums suck to begin with). Ah well, I haven't had trouble with them for the past 4 years though. Anyone should I bother calling you guys reckon?
  22. I prefer Nulon's Concentrate because you know you are getting the right ratio going in. Ie 2.5L for a 7L car. The problem with premixed stuff is that you'd worry about water left in the block which causes dilution. You'd be suprised how much water stays in the block if you dont drain it out.. like a few litres! I agree, Nulon's Green Concentrate at 20 bux for 2.5L is by far the best bang for your buck. 5 year protection too. Sweet.
  23. Yes Lezzare is correct. The mechanic will tell you the same thing. They hook it up to a machine where it pulls the dirty fluid out and replaces it with fresh ATF via the tranny oil lines. But theres no way around it, you still need to pay for 10+ litres of ATF. (The 40% thing refers to only draining the pan once) Sorry mate, but if you wanna do it right, you gotta pay up! But once its done its good for at least 60,000km with Transmax Z so its not so bad in the long run. Even if they magically can remove it all, the trans holds over 7 Liters so you'll still be up for at least 2 bottles. But it doesnt work like that hehe.
  24. There are various types of Shootout modes, being Shoot4, 6 and 8. I believe the ramp rates are different. I'll try dig up the post to compare them all. All I remember was that 8 gave inflated readings compared to 6. Don't remember nothing about 4.
  25. Changing theromstats ranks up there with lightweight pulleys and earthing kits as rice for more power. Leave it to the VTEC boys. Whats mentioned is correct. It'll take longer for the motor to warm up for short trip driving. Thats deterimental if anything.
