  1. Ah so a typo. Typical. They always get figures mixed up. I was beginning to think that out of the box these cars are friggin quick. No shit! Stupid mag. I bet a few people will begin to think these are street weapons etc.
  2. Yeah I understand the rolling time vs kmh as they all do in mags. But they quoted 13.5 @ 176kmh for the HSV Astra, going by memory? Thats friggin fast, just too fast for the specs on paper!
  3. Come to think of it, he went to Court wearing that? Musta been the best he had in the closet lol.
  4. Good stuff the ECU was repairable Cubes. Hows everythign else in the car? No probs with the deck etc?
  5. ellie you can piss off. Its still a Nissan. I reckon your plugs need regapping.
  6. Nah they are hitting those speeds at the end of the 1/4 mile (traps). Makes me wonder about MOTOR's credibility...
  7. Anyone tried getting seats from Nengun? Likely to be stung?
  8. Although it sounds a bit silly, driving with high beams can dazzle oncoming roos and make them jumpin, so its kinda a lose loose situation oo.
  9. Was in Woolies readin the latest Motor mag and they had a review of the aformentioned cars. Of course the first thing I flip to is the performance data. What stunned me most is these cars are pulling 109/110mph traps? How can that be possible? You need ~200rwkw in an S15 or a tad more in a R33 to do so. And these cars have substantially less power and more weight. The power to weight ratios are no better than a stock R33/S15. Anyone smell BS?
  10. No probs with those temps.
  11. ^^ Agreed. Can't even fill a Skyline up these days with $50
  12. You are comparing 2 different oils running in 2 different cars?? Mobil 1 0W40 is probably their best M1 range they offer here in Aust. It meets MB 229.5, where it is used in cars who's OCIs of 30,000ks+ are the norm. For it to go 'off' in under 5000km just by looking at it is just an assumption, especially with no oil analysis results. smile.gif Perhaps the thinness of the 0W40 promoted more oil consumption, same with the Castrol R 5W30. I suggest you try comparing the OEM certs between Motul 8100 and M1 0W40 and you'll see which is superior. Sir-D, Helix Ultra will do a 10,000km OCI comfortably on a stock motor, providing its in good condition.
  13. 3.1V is something wrong. They only output a max of 1V so somethings whacky. And yeah a good O2 sensor will be operational well within within 1 minute of warmup. Some take longer cos the heater is burnt out or it is not heated at all.
  14. Nah, a true bogan would be wearing a knitted VB jumper instead.
  15. Its unlikely to be fuel cut, it'd be something else. How much mods do you have?
  16. Mobil 1 does not have any esters They use alkylated naphalines in its place now. Purolator Pure 1s are damn good filters for the money. I'd rather pay for a Pure One than get a free Ryco. Links, the 8100 is a good oil. But if you can get the Mobil 1 0W40 at a similar price, then get it because it is superior.
  17. Considering you have a stock motor, you might aswell go between the two products. The 8100 would do a good job. 300V is overkill and the 4100 is nothing out of the ordinary. cowie165, thats an old wives tale. Its like saying you should warm your car up for 10 minutes each morning.
  18. If its sitting at 0.74V on idle, with the O2 feedback on, that means that the base tune is still probably too rich. An easy way to see if its working is to pull out some fuel in the IGN/INJ menu by about 1% each time, and check the O2 voltage. It should start to cycle when you've leaned it out enough.
  19. Yeap you need a resistor to simulate a ~15W load. At 12V, that means you need a ~10 ohm resistor. You'll need to find a resistor rated at 10W though or it'll be toast real fast.

  22. There's noway you can fit the username/realname/car type into a tranfer description. You'll fit the username only at best...
  23. To close the gap I just lightly tap the grounding strap against the ground. You'll eventually get a feel on how hard to tap it. To open them up, you need a thin pair of needle pliars.
  24. Lets hope the negotiations go well. And if they do a good job I'm sure another GB will go ahead in the future. I vote free postage!!!!!!11
  25. I hope when you were cleaning/gapping the plugs you didnt touch the electrode because the platinum/iridium coating is sensitive and can be scraped off easily. Time for new plugs I think..
