  1. The turbine housing is also different. I would suspect that the T3 housing the skyline version is using is better than the T2 one because of the wastegate location.
  2. Well it is 2L. You're not going to get 900hp with 2 bar or something ridiculous. To say HKS are more efficient at higher boost, you need side by side compressor maps to make that claim.
  3. Being too low is 'real crime' these days, the way the cops are.
  4. Yep all SA residents know the Buick V6 roar. Quite possibly the worst sounding engine ever.
  5. No worries RedDrifter, I misinterpret too. pplo, looks like your diagram is correct. Thats how I would have it set up. Block the PCV & inlet to turbo. If your catchcan has 2 inlets, I'd run 2 hoses from either side of the cam cover instead of just 1 side in your diagram. Cheers!
  6. RedDrifter, good thing you disabled the PCV. Would work well then! I'm talking about pplo's diagram, that setup is wrong.
  7. You're pretty much there. My mate in his R34 is doing the same on his AFM with the std turbo.
  8. RedDrifter, the only problem with that is if you don't disable the PCV, it'll pull air thru the catch can on light loads due to vacuum and thus you got a nice vacuum leak. I run my catch can atmo from 3 points, and disable the PCV. Works perfect. pplo, that setup is plain wrong. It doesn't achieve anything.
  9. Is it just the RBs that are affected? What about SRs? 1JZs? etc...
  10. Alternatively just -1% on Cyl #6 on the Injector Correction on the PowerFC
  11. Give the filter a clean first. It doesnt look like its been oiled? Be careful not to over oil them, only a small amount is plenty. Personally I'm not a fan of oiled filters...
  12. +15mm on the offset eh? Thats alright. Even though my rims stick out at the front due to the 10mm difference (40mm stock vs 30mm rims) I guess regency cant say no?
  13. khunjeng, Turbolight is just a semisynthetic. like GTX Magnatec etc. Nothing out of the ordinary about it really.
  14. I think its the same as the S14/S15 style, so 1050 and 5700 are the RPM range when its activated ie advanced intake timing for better midrange torque. Its just on/off. No pulsing as far as I'm aware. It will change to "on" when above idle in gear, because its above 1050 rpm.
  15. I never liked 100kmh times because with high powered vehicles it comes down to traction more than anything. Rolling start, bring em on!
  16. Exedy. I only ever hear about bad things about Xtreme from all of my friends who had them. I did have one at one stage, did OK but yeah...
  17. Theres no way the turbo would spin backwards with no BOV. Also are you claiming that the factory BOVs were not for emmissions paulr33? Thats a very flawed statement if you say so.
  18. Well you're only allowed +2" from factory yeah? When I got pulled over once, a cop checked exactly for that. I was laughing because I only had 17s at the time but they still pulled me over to check it out anyway. Well not laughing so much cos I got defected anyway lol.
  19. It would be your wireless I'd say. If it drops out, try logging into your router straight away. If it wont do that, then its your wireless thats dropped.
  20. Pull it out and give it a good squirt of degreaser whilst your at it.
  21. Won't need a retune straight away, the car will be driveable for sure but its best to get a retune done whenever u can.
  22. I'm pretty sure I know who's GTR that T517z graph was based on. I've been in the car and yes... it pulls hard but it seemed to die off past 7300rpm but the graph doesnt reflect that. Also it took a while for the turbos to spool up again after a gearchange, well it seemed like that to me anyway. Needless to say when the owner did a 8000rpm launch with RE55s it was like literally being punched in the guts!! The T517z also have more to go because its not flatlining away in similar fashiion to the T04Z.
  23. I'd say HKS because its low mount and therefore you can hide it better incase you get trouble with the cops and everythings included so you dont have to go running around for parts. Also the 2835 would have a nice midrange torque. I'd rather have 20rwkw in the midrange than 20rwkw at the top end if I had to choose between 2 different sized turbos.
  24. The GTRS would be the fastest street car outta those turbos for sure. I'm quite suprised actually that the GTRS was as responsive as it shows.
  25. I seriously doubt anyones used this before on a skyline. I wonder about the tyre on there too, as they are normally symmetrical...
