  1. AFAIK its more street cars, last time I went it was mainly imports and a few local cars. Im not how much its changed within the last 5 months. Might go, not too sure...
  2. Dean the events at AIR are in the calander; http://www.adelaideraceway.net/calendar.html I might be heading down this month or the next, not sure.
  3. Drag racing never goes to plan really! But its all good. Your times are still very nice! Maybe consider some rear camber arms (or bushes) to give you no camber at all on the rear. Nice TS of 117 btw. You should be able to crack the 120 mark, and 12.4 if you get a nice 60ft. Good luck!
  4. Yeah it all happens to tinted windows that are too tight. My passenger is like that... Its not the tinters fault unfortunately...
  5. I remember PHUMANs R34. Pretty crazy!!! Not to mention when I saw it with 2 defect stickers on it, when it was in a carpark! But that was a while ago
  6. Sorry to hear about that bad experience EnricoPalazzo. So did you even walk away with a decent power increase?? I remember when I got Tilbrooks to tune my SAFC. Took literally not even 10 minutes, and they charged me $100 cash. Screw that I said to myself as i walked away. That kinda money for not even 10 minutes work? Iyah, thats madness, even a whore is cheaper! hahaha...... And what was worse was when I went to the last SAU dyno day a month later, I found out the bloody car was running too lean, cos Tilbrooks really did knife edge AFRs. So now I tweak it on dyno days instead. Maybe we should group hire out a dyno for a day and everyone jump on the rollers and tweak stuff like timing, AFRs, EBCs, etc for max power..... It'd be cheaper than doing it individually like in Deans case. But im not sure if they do it here.
  7. Dean, why dont you go to the 4 & 6 Meeting later this month? Its on the 17th...
  8. No offence, but the Turbosmart eBoost can set what psi when you want the wastegate stay completely shut until. Nice idea tho!
  9. More weight means more pressure on the tires, and it does seem logical that they would stop better. However the tyre will be under much more stress and deform more, and thus, traction will not increase in a linear relationship with weight. Half the reason you dont want body roll around a corner is to help spread the load onto the inside tyre. Sure the outside tire has alot more weight on it, and theoretically should hold the road better as you get more body roll but it gets to a point overloaded and looses traction and it ends up worse!
  10. Excellent idea Steve. Might aswell take a dump in the boot while your at it the day they take the car away from ya.
  11. Yeah its weird. Even tho the coolant can fluctuate by 10 - 15 deg, the stock temperature gauge never moves from the middle. Maybe so its not to worry the uneducated??
  12. Hey is it possible to get our AFRs read aswell on the run? It would be great.... as Im not sure where my AFRs are atm.
  13. Sign me up! Wanna see what I can get with the new FMIC and more boost hehe
  14. No oil is going to fix this problem. Unfortunately you have to bite the bullet and buy another 2nd hand box from a wrecker, or get yours rebuilt. It wont be long before the metal circulates and starts busting the other gears too.
  15. Yep, motul 300V is definitely one of the best oils you can get for under $100. Ive seen plenty of used oil analysis results of cars using Redline, and most of them arent that great. Frankly I reckon Mobil 1 Supersyn does a better job than Redline, in all but extreme conditions.
  16. Is it just me or is 99 and 102mph terminal speeds a bit on the low side for 200rwkw skylines? (Referring to RBVS and Franks) My best TS was 106.5mph and thats with 165rwkw (on 2 different dynos), granted my car is only 100kg lighter, albeit with a longer diff?? Hrmmm... maybe dyno figures arent all that reliable... Btw cameron, your car is really running knife edge AFRs for the street! Especially that green line. When that fuel pump goes in, try not to go over 12:1 so you can have a little margin of protection!!
  17. I think you have to disconnect the TPS in order to get a true base timing value, not the timing value the ECU uses for idle.
  18. I dont think foot spas are ultra sonic? So I would say it wouldnt be as effective...
  19. If it is the one in the silver bottle, then it should be fine for anything but track days etc. If you got the one in the red or black bottle, then, take it back!
  20. Hmmm I'll keep my digi cam handy when I cruise the roads! Btw I not too long ago there was this clean looking VX SS, and sure enough, a cop was driving it....
  21. Oh yeah I forgot you were using lower boost. But hey, a 12 second pass on your first outing, congrats!! Oh yeah, what was it like on the prepped track?? Alot better than the normal monthly street meets?? I guess I wont be upgrading to an exedy when the time comes. What other clutches are you guys using?
  22. Hrmm... the heat musta been a real killer for all you guys. I would have expected a higher TS for whatsisname like near the 120mark! And poor Andrew couldnt muster times anywhere near the last meet. It woulda been great... What clutch are you using bro? The exedy?? Im still on my stocker!!! Ah well, better luck next time guys! Hopefully we can all make the March meetup. I got a few more mods I wanna test out
  23. Yeah, I tried Eagle 1 aluminum cleaner. It worked great, but ate away all the polished surfaces! So I had to spend another hour on the rims with good old Autosol. Problem is, my rims have aluminium sand cast surfaces and they absorb brake dust like a sponge.
  24. Wow I didnt realise rebuilds were this cheap. I always thought they were mega $$$!. I was thinking about getting my SR20 a freshen up sometime... What is the expected power output? 300rwkw should be crossed relatively easily!!
  25. You can use S15 injectors but finding 6 would be difficult cos they are from an SR20. You'd need to buy 2 sets which isnt all that economical, so you might aswell just go buy a new set of 550ccs. Also a Walbro 255L/ph should be suffice, or the Bosch as previously mentioned!
